Could you possibly up the volume I'm on max and it sounds like I have it on low and I mean low enough for people are right next to me sleeping kind of low
Ok so I keep seeing a lot of comments asking about doing the reverse….DON’T. Also no one should lose any saved data if you follow the tutorial correctly, your modifying a copy of the original file. However any previous seemless co-op data will be lost after this since you replaced the save file. But there’s also a backup of the original co2 aswell in the same folder.
mate, using my base game save file with seamless coop says my save file is from an updated game version. is there any way to downpatch the save file to match with the seamless coop's version?
Already did this once. Had to reinstall seamless after steam auto updated after the last patch. One of my characters did not have the seamless mod items even though I'd launched through the seamless launcher. Tried to do this again and lost everything 400+ hours. Guess I'm done
Remember to MAKE a copy of your base game character and paste the copied file in the mod, that way you have the mod with your character and you also keep the base game in case it gets corrupted
*ATTN. BEFORE YOU DO THIS , YOUR NOT ABLE TO REVERSE THE PROCESS . You can change your existing normal save game n transfer to seemless to continue @ ur saved game. BUT CAN NOT DO THE REVERSE AND PUT UR SEEMLESS GAME PROGRESS BACK INTO VANILLA GAME. Nexus page has a file how to create or duplicate a normal game file ,for backup , or in this case allowing you to have a past saved game to play vanilla game. FROM To be clear , u can play from ur current save in seemless but you can not later change your coop save back into the regular game . Works 1 way .vanilla save into seemless...
When I progress solo on the regular game, and then when I have ppl to play seemless with I'll just - go to windows Start - then search %appdata% hit enter-locate elden ring -click elden ring folder - (click the long number named file (example) "7650007767789" -then find my 000.sl2 copy to desktop. - right click to properties - general tab to - change file name FROM .sl2 into .co2 - then click apply/OK -drag renamed .co2 file from desktop back into same folder it came from - then close the folder and launch game from seemless coop shortcut. This allows me to bring my progression in the vanilla game into seemless coop and have my charector @ my current progression be right there good to go I can jump into seemless session exactly where I left off. Alternatively you can progress with or without friends from start to finish fully while in the seemless coop mod game, and not have to keep changing saves for possibility of losing/corrupting somehow . Either way, but it is quite lonely imo playing alone cause u have no death blood spots or player mssgs since the seemless side is not on the from soft servers. I LOVE IT Though, can't thank the guy who built the mod enough and can't hell but wonder why the games Multi-player features weren't launched the way the mod plays because trying to coop in regular game is so limited and beyond frustrating.
I have a laptop and a PC, is there a way to get the seamless coop data character from my laptop to my main PC ?? I’m able to get my regular Elden ring character into seamless but what about seamless save file across.
yeah i think i just solved this. send your .co2 files from your laptop and input them in the folder for your PC. but there’s no cross progression so your going to have to keep sending back and forth if you want to use both a laptop and PC
@@samiravani3994 actually there is a way to sync it. use something like syncthingy on both systems, make the synced folder your elden ring saves folder, and then just have both systems on occasionally to synchronize the files. theres an option to sync off the last updated file, so it'll always keep your save up to date on both sides
You cant put your SC save in the vanilla version thats logical, so does that mean you lost your vanilla? Can i put the back up save to play on the vanilla version like normal?
Anytime u change a sl2 to co2 and drag the file back into that folder u click replace existing. That way u basically just put ur saved game copied and ur replacing the existing co2 which is just a save slot for CO op with ur progressed save file. In short locate sl2=ur saved game & changed to. Co2 drop back into saves folder. Replacing existing gets u ur current elden ring save point now being where seemless coop continue will put u exactly where u left off from most recent save point
You risk a ban doing this, unless you used a save transfer tool to get it from the base game. Just turning it back to sl2 will get you banned upon logging in to online elden ring
But there is a way to copy your existing vanilla game save prior to changing it to 02 for seemless play. Before you do this search a video on how to copy/duplicate existing save file. There are a few videos and also a page on the mod page files on how to do this. If you do that correctly ,then want to go to seemless with ur current game progress you can do the process shown above . Then play coop from your save and if you want to return to solo you at least have a vanilla game save you can play from. Because u CAN NOT REVERSE THE PROCESS ABOVE. EITHER PLAY NEW SEEMLESS OR TRANSFER EXISTING TO SEEMLESS BUT CANT GO SEEMLESS BACK TO VANILLA .WONT WORK YOULL risk losing everything .
Something Elden ring should do is fix their port their PC Port is garbage every time I try to close out the game it's still open in the background seriously bad port
