are people taking less damage from your backstabs when you grab them while in hyperarmor? i noticed some crits were doing less even when you land multiple on the same guy...
This is the honest strength build. You hardly move, have like the slowest ash of war, and tank a lot of damage. It's perfect its beautiful. Maby its mayballine.
I'm in love with this build, it's like the strength version of casting terra magica and nuking people with carian greatsword. People seem really afraid of the circle, maybe using a ballista would be a cheap way to force them to engage/lay off the glintstone? I think I'm going to steal this and try it as a strength faith hybrid.
This went really well with my morning coffee. Also, the idea that some people would call this griefing is laughable. Those same people are probably using CE, and stuffing starlight shards up their tookus every raid talking about muh experiences.
I largely agree with what you said about Regen builds being "not good" but I still loved them because I liked long invasions. And lasting in someone's world for 10, 20, 30 minutes or even longer was always a blast for me. And it was especially fun for me if they turned out to be some kind of ganker or bonfire duelist.
"Their rollplaying an inteligents build, because they dont know what that is in real life." - most funny description of average wizard I had ever heared! 😀
Hey saint, I have a similar build using axes and hammers with a focus on the great stars, except I use eruption on it since each tick of damage from the lava restores hp. Very niche but it’s saved me a few times!
When you get this build to higher levels, you should use the grafted blade. The ash of war gives either 5 or 6 seconds of endure, instead of 2. So you can use that to run into the room full of campers and use holy ground, then tank their hits and smack them with a colossal.
I don't know how you manage to keep up with all the new build ideas you come up with. I get into this trap of starting a character, playing them for a bit and then thinking up another character because I find a drop or watch a video and get inspired. So I drop that character and make the new one before I forget about it, and this has happened like three times over now ! I just can't stop thinking up new characters lol
Get one character at base rune level and +0 weapons as far through the game as you can, grab lots of different weapons and stuff you like, and then back up your save. Voila, new builds every day as long as you collect your souls throughout the playthrough
Saint I remember you made a video where you were like "yeah I'm obsessed with hitting the charged R2 on the Longhaft Axe" and (assuming you don't mention it in the vid) you should know that that axe gets more hyper armor than other greataxes
There’s a part of this video, not sure of the time stamp, where you’re just standing in the circle taking lightning strikes, taking no damage. Like, just standing there eating them, not even trying to dodge them. That must have been so demoralizing for that guy, lol.
Holy Ground could be fun if there were a Spears of the Church type boss where you dont get flasks, but you have to stay in the circle instead of just having it be passive
another really nice item for regen builds is the ritual shield talisman, since once you get back to full health it instantly gives you an extra 30% defense buff, making it easier to stay topped-off with regen. it basically feeds into each other since you lose less health on the first hit, so you can get back to full health quicker.
Unfortunately patch 1.10 did nothing to change the timing of poise frames so if you cannot passive poise through the second straight sword R1, you cannot swing out of hitstun with anything except a colossal sword R1. If you want to poise through light weapon spam, you need a bunch of armor, HA won't do it.
I dont think you mentioned it, but prayerful strike also heals you. Also you can fit in bestial vitality or an even better regen buff if you want, because holy ground is a unquie type of buff. But you might want to just stick with bestial vitality because the build will do better at lower levels. I just got to the part where you mention frenzied flame, which is also a unquie type buff, stacking with everything else I've mentioned. It would be hard to get there while staying low leveled, but there are multiple easy ways to get inside leyndell (pvp elevator glitch, poison on the gaurd, and the exploding physick glitch), the only hard part would be defeating mohg low leveled, as you can use the subterranean shunning grounds skip. If you're good at the game, deafet the required bosses to get there like normal.
he did mention that prayerful strike heals 30% of your health. also, he is using the regen physick tear which heals 7hp per second for 3 minutes which is better than beastial vitality
i had an idea for a low level build almost exactly like this one using the treespear (for the "erdtree burial" theming)! maybe i'll actually go ahead and make that sometime
He's a lumberjack and he's okay. He sleeps all night and he works all day. He cuts down trees he eats his lunch. He goes to the lavatory. On Wednesdays he goes shopping, And has buttered scones for tea. He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps, He like to press wild flowers. He puts on women's clothing, And hangs around in bars. He cuts down trees, he wears high heels, suspenders and a bra. He wished he'd been a girlie, just like his dear Papa.
Thank you Saint riot for teaching me how to use holy ground so I can regen and get extra defenses against my dad’s belt, hopefully child protective services come before it runs out.
i think you probably want opaline hardtear over regen, then just settle for bestial vit. opaline + crab + holy ground + the new ha negation is just an absurd amount of damage soaked up
holy ground, or Saint's podcast where you can come and DEB8 HIM also, bestial vitality is the only "body buff" regen afaik, which is why it doesnt stack with physick (another body buff). however, the other regen spells are "aura buffs" and should just stack with every other source :) glhf upd8: after testing, aoe regen spells dont help, and godskin swaddling cloth might even erase the physixk buff (further testing required)
out of context for this vid(I couldnt find the one im thinking of), but you have a video where you talk about leaving comments or msgs to get a reaction from people and it feels like i couldnt have heard that at a better time,I recently invaded a duo whom the host abandoned his phantom and after i killed his phantom he alt+f4d , i left a comment saying "nice alt+f4 pussy, you should have just helped your phantom" and I got like 6 paragraphs of unhinged rage from that guy in my comment section and i just feel gross about it
Noo, come on Sayn, don’t use the rotten duelist helm please. Now everyone will think that my quirky little favorite helm that I match on practically all my builds will be stolen fashion
