i was helping my bro, with my RL1 acc, still could survive a single hit! sometimes :) figured parrying was the way so i asked if he could let me start and have aggro so i wont parry his butcheeks i thought his random aggros were chill gave me a chance to rebuff, get a few free hits in Sooooo nice when hes charging up and you panick knowing hes going for you but for some reason he decides to go for the dude emoting in the corner? thaaaank you miyasaki
Yeah, I loved this boss so I did a lot of summoning for him after I beat him but IMO he's easier and more fun to just do solo than to try to be a summon for him. I just found a save file that hasn't beaten him yet so I can just replay him solo all I want, lol
That 3rd fight where you won it for the dude all by yourself was dam near flawless. That’s incredible when u realize it was basically a solo run against a tankier Rhadan than the one you’d fight in just solo
For anyone wondering, that one seemingly unavoidable combo where he swings from the right, then left, then with both is actually possible. You just need to position yourself at all times to his left or to his right, and one of the first two hits won't connect. Hope this helps!
any high physical-defense shield also helps a lot if you are facing him up front, block the first two swings (they are light attacks so they don't eat too much stamina to block) and you can forward roll to dodge and punish the final big swing.
Honestly I think this boss is very hard to fight coop. Aggro switching has always been unpredictable but Radahn is even worse in phase 2. With the divine spears spraying everywhere and the changing phantoms, you’ll take chip damage when not the original target. Plus it’s hard as balls to see anything with the hair floating everywhere unless he’s directly facing you….
Shabriri's Woe talisman draws constant aggro upon the user, so it can help in coop some. But like you said, in phase 2 the aoe attacks will likely affect those who aren't the target.
@@birth23ful Promised Consort is overall harder, but Malenia has aspects that are still more difficult. Radahn has nothing that's both hard to dodge and punishing as Waterfowl Dance, but he has more damage and difficult to dodge attacks on average than Malenia. Even his ginormous meteor hit usually wont one-shot if you have good vigor and all scadutree buffs. He doesn't have healing or strong status effects like rot, but he also doesn't stagger and has more health. Radahn has more cheese, since he completely folds to high defense and shields more than Malenia. He's harder if you want to use summons because of his stagger resistance, AoE, and habit of spontaneous targeting changes. If you have good holy resist, you can pretty much just face tank some of his attacks to get more damage windows. (The big beam AOE in particular will let you get in a ton of extra damage and stagger if you just take the hit, which doesn't do that much damage if you just use holy resist buffs/items.) Radahn is weak to rot/poison and bleed, whereas Malenia is just weak to bleed. Radahn is about as weak to light weapons as he is to big weapons, while Malenia is strong against light weapons and weaker against big weapons. Imo what pushes Radahn to be harder is that he just has more consistent strength whereas Malenia has a split between tools that are much harder than Radahn and much weaker than Radahn.
It frustrates me to no end that LMSH puts in all that effort to whittle the boss down only for the host to get one-shot by the meteor attack because they weren't paying attention.
They so bad, they never even seen the attack before until they got help. 😂 But hosts that summon players ideally might as well stack holy resistances and defense and save their Wondrous Physick with the tear to absorb 95% damage for that nuke of an attack.
Your dodge timing and attack discipline is just unreal. I'm a greedy, sweaty mofo every chance I get with hard bosses like Malenia and Young Radahn. It only took me maybe 8 or 9 tries to beat Radahn but that's with 2 equally greedy summons and using a Greatshield build with all the shield defense talismans ever and 18 Scadutree levels lol.
absolutely everyone in awe of you, amazing flawless victory , the one time you got hit you knew you couldve avoided if you cared at that point because you were just giving us a joy of a show.
New to the channel.I'm glad you explained at the end that its hard to split agro bc I was thrown why most everyone was just sitting back letting you do all the work. Ive had to get help on Melania a few runs but wouldnt feel like a victory if i wasnt in the fight. Well done!
since it's summer, I've been helping infront of the arena for about 16 hour straight now. I'm actually starting to look like you when you fought Malenia, not exactly but like you know what he's going to do next and what. The biggest problem however is the host keeps running up and dying. But i guess my name is "here to help" instead of "let me solo him." Just wanted to share it since you inspired me to do this
I feel validated for using the Antspur on this travesty of a fight now, it was the only way I could win without losing my sanity due to the absolutely monstrous resistances he’s got
Man, even the legend has to tickle this boss down with an Antspur Rapier... Kinda makes me feel better taking him on with an unupgraded shield and Dane's Footwork
Dark Souls enemy: I UNLEASH A SWEEPING 8 HIT MELEE COMBO WHERE BEAMS OF LIGHT SHOOT OUT OF MY SWORDS WHERE I FINISH WITH A GIANT SHOCKWAVE AOE THEN I LEAP 50 FEET INTO THE AIR AND SPIRAL DOWN IN A VORTEX IMPACTING WITH A GIANT EXPLOSION THEN I SUMMON 8 CLONES AND Dark Souls player: I roll and do a poke attack this combat system is a meme, they gotta let us actually counterstyle on these bosses we can't be still playing fkn Demon's Souls against Ninja Gaiden bosses
You don't have to go to the egg if you're in the lands between you can just hit the map, triangle (PS5), and then select the site of grace by Consort Rad....
Doesn't look like a lot of the hosts actually have defense up. With shadow fragments to level 16-17, 2k+ life, everything defensive talisman and a defensive flask and consumables for phase 2 they shouldn't die in a one shot. All that reduces your incoming damage by 80-90%.
He Died hundreds of times learning the fight? That's weird, everyone on the internet says they beat him on their first try and people just need to git gud...
Solo you might see this ik weve talked before so i hope you do but try the sekiro physik i beat him solo with the kung fu weapon and was pretty much entirley relient on the guard counters ive had one guard counter do 8k damage and my build wasnt even great much love man hope your doing good!
2 years ago when I was still new to souls games fighting Melania and beat her with the help of guy who has a jar on his, Ignorant of me to not know I was playing with LMSH
