Something extra Chase doesn't mention about Oath. It gives you an extra powerful endure that last for 5 seconds rather than 3. Meaning if you are quick enough you can hardswap to a slow weapon or use a slow spell and be extremelly tanky for 5 seconds.
@@streptococo4735 Yeah, I also just read that it does reduce damage, although supposedly the reduction is greatly reduced for PVP. Did you test it on PVE or PVP?
Oath of vengeances is pretty useful to just get those points needed to wield certain weapons. For instance, it can give you enough faith to use the mighty St Trina's Torch
SEVEN gravity kills today. the first 4 kills were all gravity kills!! Day 6 of also asking for Envoys Horn build 😊😊 1:29 its scourgin' time 498 damage 1:38 approx 300 damage 2:24 the bow❤ 1165 damage (2238 - 1073, the amount of damage he was at after taking the arrow damage) 2:49 now that was a good one. 1151 damage 5:14 these radahn swords are getting nuts. Approx 500 damage 13:26 dear god that was a beautiful one. Double kill. 1098 and 1426 damage I think 7 is a record for 1 day! 67 gravity kills since march 9th, totaling 63k~ damage.
11:50 Fr. It was so chaotic and you sometimes had multiple different fights going on at once, it felt like a battlefield at times. And playing as a mound maker in a 6 person fight was some of the most fun I've had in any souls game
Wizards mentioned at least 7 times: 05:05 Well hello there Wizards 07:16 Hello Wizard 07:30 Goodbye Wizard 11:22 The sound of a Wizard 14:10 I'm seeing some Wizards 14:30 Oh my god, there's no HP on that ... Wizard I guess 14:50 Who looks exactly like a Wizard to me Since I started counting there were 3606.2 mentionings of Wizards across 305 videos. Bonus: 02:44 07:36 12:19
Wow, Grafted is not a weapon I expected to get showcased. I guess using it to fill a requirement for Discus of Light on a str/faith build or a pair of Starscourge on otherwise pure strength isn't a bad idea, and I can't argue with 2:45, the results speak for themselves.
Sweet Boc Hat! Can I put in a request for the floppy green one the other nobles wear? Somebody get this man a DLC. He’s showcasing hats. Catch ya next time!
Talking of great axes. The crit modifier on the executioners great axe is so slept on. Can outperform the Misericorde, because 115% of a lot is more than 140% of a dagger. Wing of Astel to stun players then hot swap into great axe crit. Unstoppable.
My current build actually circles all around oath of vengeance, the soreseals, and godricks rune! I use weapons that have lots of different stat scaling, like sword of night and flame and frenzied seal, and counter the defence drops with powerful defensive miracles like black flame protection or barrier of gold. It's a bit challenging to juggle the buffs, but the stat spread is perfect to try all the weapons in the DLC coming up, and makes oath of vengeance useful for much longer through the game! Plus it's 120 extra free levels, making a level 150 character seem to be level 270 with terrible defenses.
Chase, I bet this sword would work well with Frenzy Incantations since it has a short “Endure” window and since the Frenzy Seal scales off so many attributes!
How convenient, I had just realized that I was 4 END points away from being able to stay medium load when hotswapping to the Starscourge swords, and I am also very starved for extra stat points. This solves my issue almost perfectly!
vast difference in our motivation to play the shit outta this game. you do make me want to pick it up for another playthru though. I think the biggest hurdle for a casual like myself is the access to multitudes of weapons. Or the fact that I still haven't done one playthrough where I complete Varre's quest line xD And now my most recent playthroughs have been on the modded multiplayer ER
Hey Chase, I've been wondering if you could do builds with only weapons with innate status effects (venomous fangs) or boost stats like the poison bow with serpent arrows. Even the rot weapons
Ngl I understand why you won’t use st Trina torch but reading the other comment about it plus you using the dragon halberd made me think that you can sleep them with the torch then do the halberd spin, which would be useful in groups. I think sleep also scales with the arcane but you probably research builds to midmax them regardless, but seeing that would be kinda cool.
I'm curious, will you ever try out INT/FTH? It doesn't have AMAZING damage, since your stats are so split and you're gonna need a fair bit of FP, but it does have some unique advantages such as access to Triple Discus Of Light, the Sword Of Night And Flame (which is just a blast to use), Rancorcall and Roiling Magma, as well as allowing you to get decent damage on the St Trina's... sword.
Does the amount of equipment weight your foe has affect how far they're pulled by gravity attacks? I swear that lightweight wizard flew way further and faster off the edge than any normal medium/heavy weight build, but maybe something else made that happen
Do I frames give immunity to the gravity pull, or could Chase have pulled the Blue off the platform right after it spawned? Just wondering, since simply moving an enemy isn't damage
Chase has sworn an Oath of Vengeance against stinky moon veil spammers. But can he keep his Oath to St. Trina and put those plebs to sleep, once and for all? Find out in next week’s video!
I used both in a level 1 run paired with a sorseal and heirloom and some helmets. Plus the strength knot crystal tear I got 42 strength on my level 1 with all that stacked
