@@nickgrout2502SERIOUSLY! Like because of the trailer I thought it would be one of the throwable weapons but NOPE disappointment immeasurable day ruined
I mean, it's bugged and applies the buff of your right hand weapon atop of dealing good madness by itself. So if you take Eclipse Shotel into your right hand, buff it with the L2 and then use the torch's L2... It is, in fact, powerful. Not even a meme, Nanaya's Torch can be scary even without glitch abuse.
unironically its very strong. honestly any build can just get the minimum stats for it and use it to quickly proc madness to setup for insane damage combos
St. Trina’s endgame seems to be entering the eternal sleep of death, which I guess she deems to be the ultimate state of bliss. So having a death themed guardian seems appropriate!
12:40 - you can tell when people don't read the patch notes. Dual wielding bleed infused twinblades does LESS bleed build-up than a single twinblade. A single twinblade running R2 is the way to go if that's your thing.
@@Chaoszwaihander3434I think it’s more likely that they saw a RU-vid clip titled “OP bleed build” and stuck with it. The seppuku buff is a giveaway. He’s not just enjoying the move-set, he’s trying to proc bleed as fast as possible
@@Chaoszwaihander3434 That's clearly not the case. You don't accidentally run dual skin peeler with seppuku. Guy clearly just watched one "op bleed build" from months ago but like every other PvEr, he can't read and doesn't keep up
some of the host in this invasion have zero survival instinct. "I am at 10% health, I better hit him with more of my AoW that previously missed 3 times in a row."
I... I thought this thing was vaguely like the Harald Curved Sword, aka the Toe Clipper. I did NOT know it had that back-bending ability. I am... slightly disturbed, and my spine hurts already.
I think the lizard great sword is worth looking into soonish. Not only does it have the claymore 2H R2 but that R2 also shoots out a crossbow style bolt, so you could do something pretty interesting with range punishes and if you land counter hits I'm sure it'll really hurt
Curse you, Bayle! I hereby vow! You will rue this day! Behold, a true drake warrior! And I, Igon! Your fears made flesh! Solid of scale you might be, foul dragon... But I will riddle with holes your rotten hide! With a hail of harpoons! With every last drop of my being!
Gotta love when I see someone trashing a weapon like this "its just a short range axe with a worse wild strikes", only to see chase later that day make it shine like gold, awesome video as always.
Many FS games have a cleaver-type weapon that enemies or you can use a special attack where the blade is held horizontally so that the entire edge of the weapon can be slammed towards the ground. This seems like a weapon built entirely around that mechanic.
Excellent video, glad i can watch your content again now that i've finished the dlc. Anyways, when I picked up Nanaya's Torch, you were the first thing I thought about! Looking forward to the showcase in the future!
Yo chase! Been loving the invasion-only vids and all your content since the dlc came out. I would love to see classic weapon showcase-style vids of the new weapons - duels and then the invasions. But I'm happy either way~
You should try the Smithscript Shield. When you wield a weapon with Royal Knight's Resolve in your right hand and the mentioned shield in your left, when activating RSS, it somehow gets applied on that shield as well. And guess what: RKR on the shield lasts as long as you don't hit with your weapon. Combined with the Discus Hurl Ash of War, it's insanely cursed and completely broken. I works with basically every buff applied to main hand but I found that this is the most unfair one. Well, apart from Ecplise Shotel
@@yujin_sumeragi The more players use that messed up stuff the sooner Fromsoft will patch it. Leave it unknown and you’ll end up having broken stuff like Serpent Hunter invisible one shot which is this a thing.
Bearer of the torch Seek madness. Unhiged, more feary madness. Seek the host, that is the only way. Lest the wizards swallow you whole... As it has so many others.
Yes! I'm at work and still made it here early. Today's not that bad of a Monday after all. Thanks sensei chase, keep up the good work and keep giving me lessons.
Chase seems to be having tons of fun with the new dlc weapons. He includes that silly and evil hehe laugh in every video now, whenever he uses aoe or some true combo to one shot a poor host lol.
Damn that bigass weapon.😂 I got the dlc but I haven’t played it yet cause Skyrim elder scrolls 5 got my heart right now. Been playing Skyrim since release.😅
Hey Chase, recently Seamless Coop got updated to include invasions, and i took that opportunity to try some PvP, its so fun going into PvP with all ive learned from watching your videos! I got a Banished Knights Greatsword with chilling mist and it works wonders, i understand why you love the weapon so much, thanks for getting me into PvP!
14:39 He was glowing yellow because he has his lantern turned on lol, and his armour kinda blended well with it. Actually kind of a cool strat to protect the host.
It’s been mentioned, but hey, it’s Voldo! Wouldn’t mind seeing the deflect tear get a run. That looks like a heap of fun. Bonus points for using the fancy guard counter on the black steel greathammer. Catch ya next time!
Have you considered cutting some of these fights down to use as shorts content? I would love to be able to create a collection of some of my favorite individual fights
Ngl when I found this boss and its weapon, I didn’t expect that it was a great axe lol. It seemed way more like curved greatsword but as someone who loves greataxes and the boss itself…this weapon is a treat
The Falix blades are one of my fav for the dlc. Been using them alot in pvp and you can use the ash of war to gain a lot of ground or get away or even go for 1 guy with half the animation buy then turn around on a different guy to finish the animation
When you do go to use the Milady try out raptors of the mist on it. I have found that people aggress the slow move set more when played slightly passively or the rely on good rolling but raptors effectively uses it's stabbing light to do work. When you hit attack, attack, attack.
You gotta give the deathknights greataxe a shot. Great damage, great movement, and a super versatile ashe of war. You can blinkbolt into a really powerful nuke by casting it a second time, or you can cancel it into a light or a heavy attack to get 3 different timings off 1 attack. The blinkbolt portion also gives s. So when someone is locks themselves into casting an ash of war or spell you can dash through it and then follow up with your own big hit.
