Anvil was probably my favourite, I loved the coastal vibe with the docks, the orange tiles and all that, Benerus Manor was a nice bonus too and the gold coast is very picturesque. I also loved Bruma because I'm a fan of the Nords and something about that place is so damn cozy with the wooden buildings that led underground, gives me a warm feeling. I also like Leyawiin a lot with its 3 story buildings, the Blackwood Company, the abundance of Argonian and Khajiit citizens and just the surrounding marshy areas.

they even explain that somewhere ingame because every city resembles the provinces adjancent to them, so Cheydinhal has some Dunmer elements, Leyavin some Argonian, Bravil some Argonian and Khajiit, Anvil some Altmer/Bosmer, Bruma some Nord, Choroll some Redguard and/or Breton... guess the only exceptions are Kvatch, Skingrad and the Imperial City, which are mostly Imperial? Not completely sure on Skingrad tbh =p.

I have yet to actually fully play through Oblivion, but I want to eventually get back to it and fully play it through in it's entirety. I do like it a lot, despite the graphics of the faces being monstrously nightmarish, the fighting being weird and just plain out awkwardly blegh, and more. This was the first Elder Scrolls game I ever played. The graphics, size, and variety in the game just blew me away back in like 2008/2009! I still prefer the look of this game over Skyrim. Definitely my favorite Elder Scrolls game and probably one of my favorite games ever! I still play it all the time! I'm playing through the main story quest for probably the 4th or 5th time now. The cities are just so much better in Oblivion. Some people think the generic fantasy style of Oblivion is a negative point, but it's one of the reasons I love the game.

Man I really should play this game again. I only ever finished it once. It never grabbed me the way Skyrim and especially Morrowind did. But all these years later it would be fun to give it another go.

Leyawiin is my favorite because I live Argonians, the trashy aesthetic, and the quests in the area.

Skingrad will always be the best in any Elder Scrolls Game. Leyawiin is a close second if only the player home wasn't a tiny shack. Almost every home in that city is massive and you get stuck with a shack.

Leyawiin is my favorite for sure. I love the layout and all the Khajiit and Argonians hating on each other.

Anvil is #1 in my book. I can walk around that place and feel like I'm actually a part of the world. Then would have to come Bravil, Leyawiin, Cheydinhal and Skingrad.

Nick pick, with all those perspectives and memorable quests. My top would be probably totally different. 1) Bruma - love the nordic influence and low basement houses. Local mages guild hall is my favorite, it just feels so cozy as home. It's a shame, it gets destroyed and its members killed. Also it's right next to the Cloud Ruler Temple - a totally awesome place. I loved being a member of the Blades. 2) Chorrol - cozy small town with nicest people in all Cyrodiil. I like the little square around the big Oak, where people meet and chat. Also the lovely argonian girl Dar-Ma, who introduces herself and later gets kidnapped. 3) Leyawiin - don't know why, it's not the most beautiful city, but it has those Elsweyr and Black Marsh vibes, this is probably how their cities would look like. Also my home, the Knights of the White Stallion lodge is right next to it. This is usually the first thing I do after leaving the sewers to get a free house. Kvatch could have been beautiful too, if only they rebuilt it after the destruction.

What I love about Oblivion's cities is how "medieval" they felt. Skingrad being the biggest medieval city in the game. Honestly, my least favorite city in this game is the Imperial City. It just, doesn't really fit the design they were going for in the other cities. It just sticks out like a sore thumb. :(

Wait they gave both Bravill and Riften - shady cities in the south of their Provence, a place of worship for Mara? Coincidence??

You should make a build in Skyrim called the Soul Collector, where you go through quests, and you trap the soul of all important named NPC's you end up murdering. Then you would use their soul gem to enchant an item, and name it after the soul's owner.

My first Elder Scrolls game, too… I picked this game up for $18 on clearance for PS3… having not been a fan of first person games in general, especially the RPG style… but for that price, I figured what the heck… and it was the best game I'd ever bought on clearance! Got me hooked on Elder Scrolls (bought the anthology to play Morrowind with the expansions, and the first games just for the lore and exploration of them) and led to me getting into Fallout 3, New Vegas, and F4.
