Electric Guitar to bass guitar conversion 

cool idea, but it would be nice to see the bass in action to see how it sounds from the conversion.

For those who wants a quick try at playing bass on a strat, you can get an 8-string guitar string set and use the lower 4 strings of the set and tune them as bass tuning (EADG), the extra 2 higher strings of your strat can be tuned as (be) like regular guitar OR tuned as (CF) like a high 6-string bass (tuned in all 4ths). There is no need to do any hardware changes to your strat other than action and intonation, regular setup adjustments. I have done a number of such variations with very good results. You have both Bass and guitar in one instrument. Enjoy!

Bass VI strings would work better so you could convert it into a Bass VI which has a more useful range

I done something similar... i bet u changed the bridge because the thickness of bass strings can't sound with this tight bend. And maybe you changed the tuning pegs.

I was wondering here: If you get the last 4 strings from an 8-string guitar (heavy gauge 0.13) and connects to an octaver pedal + equalizer pedal + noise suppressor... And install an 11k pickup... I think it will work really good... I don't know... maybe I am a little crazy, LOL! It's a great project, man! Up a video! Thank's for share!

I'm legitimately doing the opposite kind of thing here. I'm making a 6 string guitar out of a bass. 34" scale length guitar tuned super low lol

You need to have for a Exact bass Sound Bass guitar Pickups and Bass Strings... That’s it!

Or just trade in your guitar
