I had the same thing happen to me this guys video is awesome. I suggest what he said, he right dont keep trying my battery died as well only option is boost or get new battery.
Very helpful, yes, seen some similar posts on forums, happened to me on a year old CR-V. Called Honda got a boost, drove it home, picked up a charger/ maintainer the next day when it wouldn’t start. It’s usually the battery, I charged it to full and the error disappeared. Checked today again and it’s gone. Going to keep it charged and have the dealership check on my next appointment. Also, could be related to Brake hold, so going to stop using that. I also ran over some hard snow so not sure if the malfunction is related to that but another option is to remove the fuse temporarily. Either should work, some people are getting the battery replaced but that may not be necessary, mine was at 80% and boosted with a remote device. The boost or charging will override the error.
My 2018 Civic EX-T (bought new) currently has 94,300. I just got the Electronic Parking Brake message and the “Brake” light yesterday, Dec 30, 2021. I ALWAYS use the parking brake before releasing the regular brake after shifting to Park. The brake shifter locked up while I was driving but the car drove fine. The next day (today), the message cleared and when I attempted to apply the parking brake switch it simply got unstuck. I drove all morning and engaged the parking brake twice and so far, so good. I got a new Honda battery about six months ago so I doubt my particular issue has anything to do with the battery. I’ve never spilled anything or got crumbs as I’m a meticulous clean freak, so I doubt the shifter got stuck from debris or liquid. If the problem reoccurs I’ll take it in for diagnosis.
I just had this problem on 2/20/21. I called AAA and they did two thigs to fix it. 1st they disconnected by battery and cleaned the battery posts and the terminal connectors with a battery terminal and post cleaner wire brush. 2nd they gave me a jump so my car would start. I had to let the car run for about 15 minutes. 3rd I restarted my car and all of the malfunction lights stopped flashing. I drove my car to the Honda dealer and they said it was caused by a poor connection to the battery. The car will not work if the car is not receiving enough power. The dealer tested my battery charge and everything was ok.
So i replaced my battery like in april. So i assumed the issue was something else. The car wont start up in the morning. It takes about 2-3 trys and then its good. I had them check the battery and they said it was good voltage but to really check it i need to remove the battery and bring it in to have it checked.
It just happened to me and my car wasn’t turning on anymore i just use jumper cables because i had a feeling it was the battery even though it says brake issue but yeah it was just the battery for me
Happened to me 2 weeks ago and again this week. Took it to Auto Zone on Friday and they said the battery and alternator are both good. HELP! Don’t know what else to do since my local Honda want to charge $159 and up to diagnose 🤦🏼♀️
You can jump the car and than go to Honda so they can reprogram, don’t let them sucker into buying their battery cause it cost a lot. You can buy a cheaper battery that’s brand new at Autozone and than have Honda reprogram
You are incoherent..I learned absolutely NOTHING..you just rambled about the battery and all u can do is jump it..u assumed that everyone has a dead battery..STOP MAKING RU-vid VIDEOS.. Next time just say take the car to the dealer..if you don't know how to fix a problem
