It would help if you said which state you live in! Texas opened up just last week after Arcimoto negotiated to get their autocycle laws updated.

I retired in Florida and had a pre-order in 3 years ago. Motorcycles are very dangerous here, fatalities every day. The risk is just too high. For the last 18 months I have had my FUV as my only transportation and there is almost no comparison to a motorcycle - the crash cage is certified the same as cars and the 6 point harness means I have no use for safety gear or leather. The only safety advantage with gas powered trikes is you can't lose your balance. Anyone who can stop burning gas should do so as soon as possible.

@@popeyegordon - You responded incorrectly. Just tell people to move to places like FL. They sell them there and they will never need doors and the cost is really cheap. Living in IN is what the posters real problem and making him wait for an indefinite amount of time makes no sense. Lets tell everyone to just move to the 18 states and buy one now. The amount of money they will save will be huge.

@@billsmith5960 That is a smartass comment. We don't need your shit. States come available to distribution one or two at a time. Texas opened up just last week. Market demand, the number of pre-orders and climate dictates which are first, plus there is the company's advance expense of arranging authorized warranty work and training technicians in each state. Most buyers would not want to have to ship or trailer their FUVs to out of state service locations. There have been a few exceptions. One is in New Zealand. There is also the issue of outdated laws for motorcycles and autocycles, different in each state. Arcimoto is phasing out its mobile service to your door because it is too expensive in most areas. If Indiana has very few pre-orders accumulated it is less likely to be the next territory to open up, assuming its autocycle laws are up to date and they are probably not. All states have owners with door and non-door versions. Real experienced motorcyclists eschew doors.
