Hello Mr. Shnobel :-D Thank you for your demo video!!! I just bought a few of these needing severe repairs and now your video confirms my goal of a fuzz at times and well into the synth realm :) I'm a hard rock guitarist with a love of 70's rock and your demonstration affirms my nascent impressions and hints from my readings over the last few years :) Thank you again our friend from '14.....Cheers and Beers and a damn good glass of milk to boot!! Dan Gibbs, 2020 :-D
I used to see Rob Buck (RIP) use one of these, or the EV model just before this one, with 10,000 Maniacs in clubs in Jamestown NY when I was in college. First time I ever saw a guitar synth. He used it on their song "Orange" on their first EP, "Human Conflict Number Five." It's on RU-vid somewhere.
Thanks for the nice video! Maybe you should check the function of the trigger fader... seemes like you have no idea what to do with it. It's very important for shaping the start/end frequency sweep. Your pedal can do more than shown in that video ;-)
great vid i have minty original 70s one in box sounds mad amazing on synths use it on my linndrum sounds insane like ur drum machine is sucked down a black hole truly mad even on fender rhodes with big quality reverb
Hey guys, do you think is it possible to get an organ sound using EHX Micro synth + a MOOER PURE OCTAVE. I prefer the synth tones of micro synth, but I dont want to buy the B9 just for an organ tone. Thanks
I'm not sure if you'd get a good Hammond sound out of this micro synth but I'm sure there are some EHX pedals that might, such as the Superego Plus, combined with the HOG 2....but they cost a load so you may as well get a B9. You can sometimes get lucky and buy a used B9 for a decent price, lots of gear addicts buy them and end up selling them on because they - A) Can't get the knack of using them. B) Get bored of them, or C) Want some other expensive pedal or gear and need to sell this to raise the cash. I bought mine recently for £110, about half the price of a new one so sometimes you can get lucky. The B9 is a pretty good pedal once you get the knack of using it 👍
I'm selling the newest version of the Micro Synth on my reverb! Please check it out if you're interested: reverb.com/item/4200907-electro-harmonix-micro-synth
