You might wanna be a tiny bit more „present“, keep that curiosity 5.simply don‘t be rude (I thought that was a given) 6.open up to the guy, don‘t take yourself too seriously, keep it light-hearted 7.“send the invitation“ aka tiny little moments of recognition, a short look across the room, a „knowing look“, a smile, a like under a picture, basically tiny steps 8.don‘t feel the need to lay out your entire existence and inform him about everything about you, let him get to know you, it‘s a beautiful process 9.show your personality, don‘t be ashamed of who you are 10.show you care for the people you love, friends, family and him of course 11. HAVE DIGNITY. (A huge one in my opinion) aka have boundaries, know how far you‘re willing to go/what is in line with your core values & beliefs, a guy isn‘t a good enough reason for you to change. 12. be careful who you choose in any case, take everything into account, chemistry but also values & mutual respect etc. 13.practice. In the appropriate cases, of course. 14.remember that men are also complex, sophisticated human beings, they have a life, passions, families too, they‘re really not that intimidating OR that simple. Try to really genuinely get to know a human when you talk to him/her. Some additional tips from me: get comfortable in your own skin, build confidence in yourself before anything, because if you stumble into the world with unstable self-esteem, you‘re running the risk of attaching that self-worth to anything, be it men, popularity, appearance, or any other variable and equally unstable part of your life. When you have a grounded core, a clear sense of who you are and when you know that your worth is intrinsic because God knew you were worth creating, then the ease we often lack in flirting just naturally falls into place. Another big thing is, know that you don‘t need a man to survive. It is always nice to be in a healthy, rewarding relationship, but when that one guy whom you flirted with wasn‘t really feeling it, that‘s ok. There are billions of other potential matches on earth. And even if none of them are perfect, you are always aware that you are capable, beautiful, strong, intelligent, kind, and everything you ever wanted to be because every single human being has the capacity to be wonderful and self-sufficient. The part about men being people too hit home. You're totally right, they're somebodies son, brother, father, or whatever the case may be. No need to think of getting to know them as being sooo intimidating. I never thought of it like that. 🤔

To add, many quality men are attracted to a woman with brains/discernment: able to think critically and have valid reasoning skills. Have goals and ambitions! Also, be super playful, but not in a childish and immature way. Be compassionate and generous to those in need. My husband of 10 years LOVES these things about me, and I gotta say, I caught me a good one!

The best advice my mother gave me was to make the "right man" chase you. A "good man" wants a woman who is self-confident, knows what she wants in life, has goals and a good personality. What you put out there is what you ultimately get back. If you are sexually suggestive by your dress, if you're loud and boisterous, and drink in excess then that's what you'll attract someone who see you as a "bootie call" and not relationship material that will use and abuse you. Demand respect by your actions and that's what you'll get. Love yourself first and you'll attract the "right man".

it is crazy how much I have changed. 2021 was THE year for me. I am so done with unhealthy dating dynamics. Hence why I'm revisiting and rewatching all these mrs. midwest videos. I am getting to know someone who is so different from my usual type. He doesnt make me feel nervous, it is not thrilling, not dramatic, nothing ever happens that makes me want to discuss with my circle of friends. Great advice on flirting! I find it’s actually harder to flirt after years of marriage. I had to really get used to flirting with my husband again after years of marriage and raising kids together. Being the invitation is such a key. I have seen women chasing men around. Being loud to get their attention. The room like you mentioned! The part about not sexualizing yourself is a struggle for me. We live in an over-sexed culture and tbh it was almost a form of rebellion against my mother when I did it. She was too heavy handed on wanting me to wait until marriage. Good intentions are often paved with bad execution, and it can have adverse effects. I acknowledge that I’m a sexual being (not an object), but I find if I go too heavy on innuendos and suggestive joking, I won’t be seen as long term material. So I definitely should save it for a relationship.
