i am 13 years old. i have and am growing up without a motherly figure in my life. it really hurts because i know my family can’t relate to my problems. i don’t feel comfortable talking to my father about my issues, especially my girly ones.. nothing really fixes that problem, but just watching your videos and relating to a beautiful, proper woman gives me so much confidence and joy. you are my role model, and you inspire me to be more lady like, kind, grateful and happy. thank you for being there for girls like me. i hope one day i will be more like you. i’ll certainly try. thanks Mrs. Midwest ☺️💕

As a 70 year old lifetime homemaker, it is so encouraging to know there are young ladies who see value in managing a home, supporting her husband behind the scenes and embracing her femininity in a God honoring way. I have watched several of your videos and have noticed you sometimes refer to us older women as "old lady". Maybe just my personal pet peeve but to me I would find it much more feminine and lady like to refer to an older woman as "an older woman" or an "elderly woman: anything but "old lady" which sounds so undignified. May God bless you as you embrace your chosen path.

30 YO female; as someone “transitioning” from young woman to woman and learning to appreciate every stage of the journey I agree “old lady” does not convey the knowledge and experiences gained after a lifetime. Describing an older woman as elderly/ mature/ senior can honor the accomplishment of a life well lived. Just something to consider 🥰

*A tip for any ladies who want to wear heels:* The wider the heel, the more comfortable the shoe! I worked with a Hollywood Costume Designer and she passed this tip down to me. FOR REAL. Don't get the shoes with the needle-like points. A wider support means more comfort and less hunching over out of pain at the end of the day! ♥

I also struggle because I think sometimes abusive people will take advantage of polite people as we are seen as passive and people pleasers. I notice acting rude can keep people away from me. I am trying to find the balance of being polite while also having firm boundaries so people do not try to walk all over me.
@flowerssmile
@flowerssmile 3 года назад

@gesapickbrenner2883
@gesapickbrenner2883 2 года назад
@@flowerssmile I think it is important to know when you need to be a bit forceful, but even then you can be polite. But if someone is abusive or threatening, at some point one has to fight back and be very clear about "not having it". There are extreme situations that call for extreme measures. But one can always make the effort to try his or her best way first, and be consistent about it. And even when being upset you can show it in a lady-like manner, only if that absolutely does not work then...either leave the situation asap, find support in another way and/or call your husband ;)

I learned a lot from Marie Kondo's books. I didn't implement 100% but for example, she said to take out everything from your bag every single day, and put the necessary things in it freshly every morning. I already kept few things in my bag because I dreaded my mom's heavy, impossibly bulky, funny smelling handbag (sorry mom, I love you, haha). But after this tip, my bag is flawless, and I carry very little=good posture, lighter image, etc.

Rhat's funny. The only thing I DON'T like is, that she always says, that no woman HAS to be like that. Because firstly no one is forced to come here and secondly we live in a world where one stamps grumpy on the floor if someone dares to tell him what to do. People should learn again to take advise and to be humble. Audrey Hepburn was a lady. And she sometimes said how a real woman behaves and acts. She never cared to say: "Oh, but it's okay if you are not like that." No, that was what a real woman was to her and that's it. No excuses and trying to make it right for everyone.. I totally understand Caitleen, that's just the way it is nowadays. I still admire woman brave enough to say what they thing and believe in, without feeling the urge to make it right to everyone. Without judging obviously. But it's okay to say that's right, that's wrong

You are a breath of fresh air!! I am 66 years young, and through the decades, have ebbed and flowed with the times, although I’d like to think I always had manners and respect for others. My advice to young women, is to heed your lessons and try to incorporate them as best they can. “A lady is never lazy,” is something we should all strive for. I feel like with the advent of technology, we have become so distracted that we let our whole life pass us by as we stare at that little screen. I’m guilty of this also, but please, please, please young people, get off your phone and live your life! I was in the doctor’s office yesterday, and a beautiful young mother was there with her 3year old (I’m guessing at his age) son. He was beside himself with excitement as he watched the fish in the waiting room aquarium. He obviously had been well trained, because he was quiet as he tried desperately to get his mother’s attention. Unfortunately, she never looked up from her phone, and I can’t imagine those 10 minutes on her phone were more important than her son’s face, his eyes, his smile, as he watched something he probably rarely saw. I know it made MY day! I’m an observer of life. I was an international flight attendant for 40 years. I have a lot of life behind me, and your advice is wonderful to any young woman starting out in life, and will set her up for a beautiful life ahead! Bravo on your channel! You truly are a beauty, inside and out!

@@sarahs7253 There is a difference between eye contact in a conversation that is about a specific topic or small talk and just looking people in the eyes for a rather long time without reason. I realized that too much eye contact with men can be seen as inviting. As always, notice the fine line and the nuances here. When talking to your superior at work it is important to listen closely to things he or she says, and eye contact is important for understanding. When talking to a colleague, and he seems to be enjoying your company and would be a potential partner, then of course, you don't want to overdo it and be a bit more discreet about it. Except of course, you would like to flirt with him and be open to a possible relationship.

A true lady never gossips. Little girls need to be taught this along with the reasons to be lady-like. Kindness, gentleness, politeness, truthfulness, diligent, responsible, helpful... sound like character qualities? Yep. If we want this country to be a better, safer place in which to live we need women and mothers who reflect the beauty of inner character which is, of course, being lady-like.

For improving posture, I’ve actually improved so much by sitting in an actual chair rather than laying in my bed all day. Making sure my back is rested against the back of the chair has translated to it being much straighter while standing and walking. It really helps. I got a nice, pretty antique chair from goodwill for about $10, and put it in my room to sit in. You can even bring in a chair from somewhere else in your house.

One thing I want to add. It's a mistake I have made and I didn't realize I was being inconsiderate... If someone has just lost someone it's important not to compare it someone you've lost. It's best to just comfort them and listen instead of trying to relate to their pain. I thought I was letting them know that I know how they feel but it really offended a friend of mine because she felt like I was competing.

I feel so grateful to her now although it wasn’t always easy as a child, and I definitely want to teach the same to my future children. Your channel really is one of my favorite! You have such a nice energy, it’s very refreshing❤️

Thank you so much for everything in the video!!✨ The message conveyed is amazing, and extremely helpful for young girls like myself!😊 and I really appreciate the ending where you emphasized ‘ The core of being ladylike is all about being free and fun’, because I believe being ladylike is a deliberate choice to stride towards the brighter side, instead of feeling controlled or pressured.❤️ we need more RU-vidrs like this! Thank you so much for all the efforts going into this🙏

Oh my goodness! This video is a wake up call to me. I pride myself in being polite, considerate, and conscientious with other people. In fact, I put a lot of effort into reaching out to ppl with kindness and warmth. I have been wondering why lately some people don't always respect me and I realize there are many things in this video that I don't do, especially related to how I carry and groom myself. I will start by improving my posture tomorrow morning.

@@naavajo Couple videos ago, she talked about learning to say 'NO' Don't look at your struggle to day NO as a bad thing. Femininity is associated with high traits of agreeableness, which is an excellent trait in connecting with someone emotionally. However if your kid keeps asking for candy, and you don't say no, it's gonna be bad for his oral health. It's all about finding the right balance. Say NO and be firm with it when it's for the good of someone. Also, don't feel guilty for saying no. Or don't let people make you guilty for saying no.

I am really enjoying your videos! I have a very different lifestyle to you, I am building a business which I hope will be an international success (touchwood!), but I think there is nothing wrong with taking enjoyment in traditionally feminine activities. I have always enjoyed keeping a home and setting aside time to bake etc. It’s important that women (and men) have the choices available to live their life however they wish.
