Elegoo Neptune 4 - Overview Leveling & Print

Manually leveling the bed as Elegoo suggests (1,2,3,4) will only cause issues. The bed should be manually leveled by doing 1,3,2,4. Alway level the diagonal corners just like tightening up a wheel on your car.

This helped me out so much, I was going crazy, trying to follow the instructions elegoo has. This video you made, made everything so much easier to understand. Thank you me dude.

This was a great review, even though you only printed the pre-sliced test prints, you showed more of the user interface details than the other reviews. I've never used a Klipper printer so I was very interested in all of those details. Kudos to the Klipper developers. The user interface is very clean and intuitive. I want the Neptune 4 pro version (steel rails for X and Y), but plus size (300 X 300 mm print bed), with WiFi. Bonus points if Elegoo replaces the ribbon cable with a continuous flex rated 4 conductor CANbus cable. A tool drawer in the base is a nice feature, but that little tool storage test print is awesome. Good job, Elegoo.

Mine just arrive today. The ship print with the test filament that it has printed flawless in 22 minutes! It is my first FDM printer and I'm very impressed! I have no difficulty to install and to do the first leveling. Amazing product until now!

From the video is quite difficult to judge the print quality…is it on par with standard machines such as ender 3, prusa etc? I like the idea of a faster print but only if the quality is equal. Would also nice to have a print at the same speed of normal printer and see if the quality is better

The Neptune 4 is supposed to have 121 leveling points, not 36. That being said, the firmware is a hot mess right now, bricking printers. Please don't update unless you have to.

One thing I realized within the very short time I got involved with 3D printing is that we still have room for anyone to create your own 3D printer world. These printers are so basic, and at least for me I can clearly see where is left open for upgrades and cost. Anyone can build this from scratch as long as you finished high school lol. I still can't believe that no one has yet changed the course and standards for starting 3D printers. I did not know just how long FDM printers been out and how someone is able to control this slow 3D standards for profit for this long. Most of printer parts are so cheap but for anyone starting they might not know this. 3D world is a strange world. The cost to go from 60mm/sec to 150+ is only about $10 bucks, and maybe $25 for consumers.

Is there much difference from the pro model printer? Ty

I have no idea if mine is supposed to be some gen 2 of it but mine is different... Power plugs in on the back right as well as the power supply switch being in an odd spot.

I owned one elegoo 4pro, but it has been a week and the model is still failing due to the model sticking to the head. What should I do? Is there a solution??? I tried changing the threads and leveling the surface with an A4 sheet of paper and followed all the steps to no avail. Please help me

Great video. I did click something on the display and now it's loading itself for quite some time. Did I ruin my printer? 😅 Don't know what to do. I pulled off the plug and turn it on again but it is just loading the elego sign ... help 😅

Am I wrong or what, but to me, it seems like Elegoo went backgrounds with having the bed leveling wheels with the Neptune 4 series.

They put Klipper on it but it still recommends doing the screws bed leveling with a piece of paper? WTF? I have Ender 3 Max Neo and the paper/feeler gauge method only worked once. It didn't work the second time I needed to level the bed. For some reason all corners were exactly at 1mm (when z was set to 1mm) but when I used to addon for OctoPrrint that shows howCR-Touch sees the bed, it looked like a mountain: something like -3mm at (15 15), +0.5mm at (290 15) +2.2 mm at (290 290) so it tried to compensate wrongly and the first layer was awful. After this I started to do bed leveling only by what CR-Touch reports. I installed Klipper recently and it's even better because they have "SCREWS_TILT_ADJUST". Every manufacturer that ships their printer with Klipper should provide this method for manual bed leveling if they have a bed with screws for adjusting. And BTW after you level your bed and put the Z to 0 it should touch the bed.

Don't buy it. Elegoo is the bottom of the line. Issues with almost everything. Save your money and sanity.

100 mm/s is not very impressive, I thought this machine would handle 250 mm/s as standard and 500 mm/s as top speed! Elegoo sells your personal data, so be aware!

The speeds you were printing at are no different from the top range of any average printer. I'm pretty sure that's not why people are buying these. Was really hoping to see some actually impressive speeds, but it doesn't look like this printer is capable of it because you would've demonstrated it otherwise.
