Discover the new way to learn piano ► tinyurl.com/ky... My Website: kylelandry.com This is my take on Elfen Lied's "Lilium." Your Pianist and Composer, Kyle Landry
So much have changed in the last 9 years, have they not Kyle ? I'm very happy to see how more epic and awesome you've become right now even if you've set the bar very high back then ! I hope you continue growing in the future and be even more successful
This is the first video I’ve found on RU-vid that really captures the emotions in the piece played on piano. Your grasp of the dynamics are unbelievably beautiful.
I play the piano myself and have been a fan of yours for quite a while now; I always check your videos as soon as you post them. Today was my birthday and checking this video at the end of the day was like the cherry on top of the cake. Congratulations!
I have this spine-tingling chill every time I watch right around the 0:50 mark that just creeps up and stays with me until it dissipates at 1:03. Bravo. Really, bravo man.
Besides loving the song, I'm truly amazed and impressed by the way you play it & the emotion that goes into it. The sound quality + the song + the way you play it make it such a beautiful song
I was watching this when my brother walked in the room and said "who's playing this? they're absolutely amazing." (and mind you, my brother is really picky when people play this song. It always has to be 'perfect') But I showed him a couple of your other videos and he absolutely loves your playing now and is going to recommend you to my cousin who's a major music nerd. You just play with so much emotion and everything ties together so nicely, my new goal is to be as good as you (:
ive been waiting 4 ever for you to do this one now that its here its just hard to put into words how good you did it should have done the full length one but still absolutely amazing will cherish this one for ever.
so proud to have been one of the first 100 people to watch this video.. you don't realize at the time how big all his songs are going to be! love you kyle!
I've really loved this theme ever since I heard it the first time.. You play it beautifully, giving it the honor it deserves.. I love your commitment while you play.
i just love how his room mate walks in and has that look on his face "aww hell, he is playing again..." i would love to have this dude in my apartment to play/practice.
He does it again! Awesome job man as always. I love watching ur videos ur my inspiration. I've recently started taking piano lessons. Thx for all the great videos :)
I love the new angle!! I agree with the other youtubers, your roommate is so lucky!! lol, I love how he just keeps working on his stuff, oblivious. Now everyone on youtube knows him as the lucky guy on the background of one of Kyle's videos. Great piece as always. I loved the ending! Btw, I couldn't tell from your piano videos but I saw one of spookyman's videos and your eyes are really beautiful, Kyle.
Your room mate must feel like every day is EPIC with your playing going on in the backround. Drinking coffee... typing... studying... doesn't matter. All epic with dramatic piano music going on in the background.
Love your taste in music dude. Your choices of songs to play couldn't be more perfect for me. Must thank you again. I can never thank you enough hahah Good work ^_^
You inspired me to play this song, and watch the anime. I don't usually watch anime but this one was amazing! It was the best thing I've ever seen in my life! Thank you!!
Woo! Awesome job. I've never seen Elfen Lied but I've heard Lilium before. The orginial version gave me chills - and so did this. :) You're incredible.
So good. Kyle Landry I love you :D you are my biggest idol! Every time I start losing touch with my piano, I run into your videos and you give me the inspiration to keep practicing! My goal is to be as good as you one day :) (which will be difficult as your constantly achieving higher levels of greatness).
This is stunning. I've always loved this song, but to hear you play it so artfully... it's truly a treat! It's a joy to see someone else who loves music so much... Keep doing what you do, Mr. Kyle Landry! We'll keep supporting you for sure! =]
I've always enjoyed this song. I like the improvisation, but I like how there are certain similarities - at least in my head - with the orchestrated version you hear at the beginning of the anime. Very nice :)
I had the synthasia favorited from Marioverhere for many years now and panicked when it was gone because I really liked this cover, glad it only took me 20 minutes to find so i can enjoy it again.
You know I've watched a LOT of your stuff and I throughly enjoy the majority of it. The issue I have with this video is that your performance seems to be made for a grand stage while the original song itself has a sweet elegance to it that would never permit for such a fancy presentation.
This is really amazing! I like how you kept your composure even though your friend is just casually walking about in and out of your room doing random stuff. :) Haha I should really watch this anime now.
THIS MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!! :DDDDDDDDD I LOVE THIS SONG. Thankyou for redoing it! (Teehee, random guy in the background just chilling) This is beautiful x3 emotionnnns!!!!!
THANX for playing this wonderful song. Elfen lied was a great anime a bit gory but the storyline, meaning and emotional depth of the series really touched me.saddest ending ever tho
Haha. Going through your videos, I wondered when I'd find this (if it was there to begin with). Great emotion, you captured it perfectly. And it's a difficult song to play, I love listening to your version. I had to hit the replay button over and over. Simply because of how gorgeous you made it sound, but correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not all of the song, is it? I thought there was more and it was higher and then back to the regular melody.
I'm on piano lessons myself and can see the progress quite clearly. I hope in two years I can find a good piano teacher in the UK as I hope I will be moving there then and become nearly as good as you. Haha. Keep it up, Kyle. Keep us entertained.
