@@MrAfriKa former players think they're smarter than they are. This trend of having so many former athletes as analysts has gone too far. Same with all the women they have on these shows. Only half of the former athletes can even speak articulately. Not to mention all the blows they took to the head during their careers.

I love the selective memory - Ryan Clark likes to talk about his one pick against Eli during Eli's first full season as a starter, but neglects to mention the 2014 come-from-behind Giant win when Eli torched Clark's secondary with 3 TDs, no interceptions and a 118 QB rating. Or the 2014 Giants win when he threw for 4 touchdowns and 300 yards, making Clark look absolutely silly. Then, there was the 2008 game against Clark's Steeler team with its #1-ranked defense -- when Eli led the Giants to two 4th quarter scores and another come-from-behind win. Ryan Clark asks "When has a defense ever had to plan to stop Eli Manning?" All the time - just ask Bill Belichick. Maybe Clark should have tried it.

Eli had some great games and deserves to be in the HOF. He freakin' beat Brady and Belichick twice albeit w/ a very good Giant's defense. But no one would consider him a top 20 QB in the HOF.

@@vicfletcher8919 Which greats did you have in mind? I agree that without those Super Bowls, Eli's not a Hall of Famer. He was never among the top 5 QBs in the league when he played. And sure, he had some quality receivers -- Burress, Nicks, Cruz etc. but one of the amazing things about Eli, I think, is that played his entire career without any HOF teammates on offense. (Unless Odell Beckham makes it in)

He's a HOFer for those 2 SB wins, but most importantly, 90% of the reason is because he's a Manning. Eli Manning's not the first quarterback to play in New York. Talk about showing up big in the biggest game Julian Edelman three super bowl wins one MVP. Help the patriots to make 7 of 8 straight AFC championships. Julian Edelman missed 2017 season with a torn ACL. Was Tom Brady's number one wide receiver for 8 years A 7th round college quarterback. You cannot tell the history of the New England Patriots without Julian Edelman. I don't care what is regular season numbers were just like everyone doesn't care about Eli Manning regular seasons 117-117 leading the league in interceptions three times. Eli Manning can go into the Hall of Fame because of the playoffs. Julian Edelman needs to go into the Hall of Fame for his playoffs. Second most catches and second most yards in the playoffs.

@@Dennis-nm1jm For the regular season, yes. In the postseason, their average points per game would have been the best in the league. Between 2007 and 2011, the Giants defense allowed an average of 15.1 points/game, no more than 20, and a passer rating of 74. And Eli still barely managed to win 5/8 games. 2 went to overtime in which he was an absolute non factor, but given credit for both game winning drives. Care to go any further? The correct answer is, "No." because I have fact that will destroy any Eli fan.

If his last name wasn't Manning and if he didn't play in NY - he would hardly be considered. He NEVER, not once, led the NFL in a single positive passer category. 16 seasons and only won a playoff game in two seasons. All-time leader in multiple turnover games.

@@teamrcket5103 My guy, if you get a top down perspective on the play field it's a lot easier to tell what's gonna happen. Especially when you've had to figure it out from behind a 6'4 center. Romo was always injured too, so it wasnt a lack of athleticism. Bein a good QB is difficult

Try watching the Giants vs 49ers in the 2011-12 championship game to go to the Super Bowl. Eli was outstanding in that game. How many 4th quarter comeback wins late in the 4th quarter did he have in his career. The guy was clutch. If Namath is in, Eli is certainly in!

Well considering Ryan Clark was a mediocre safety, and the other guy I don’t even know who that is at first glance. Eli was better at his position than Ryan Clark ever was. But don’t listen to anyone look at the facts. Of course we know the Super Bowls, and the Super Bowl mvps. What about top 8 all-time in Touchdowns, yards, and completions ? What about top 10 in game winning drives? What about 2nd most playoff road wins of all-time? What about his iron man streak? What about among the best in 4th quarter comebacks? Let me know when you come up with an excuse to explain this facts away?

Nope Aaron Rodgers is set to top that with $313, 144, 529, Matt Ryan $318, 707, 925 and Big Ben is set to make $272, 286, 864. Eli's earning won't make the Hall of Fame Stafford is closing in too. Aaron Rodger is the richest and its not even close when his endorsement money is added to the mix.

To date, Manning earned more than anyone else in NFL history. I do not feel sorry for the guy. He's stuck around too long. He was good in his prime but not great. Those 2 SB wins gets him in the HOF.

The problem is that there are salty Eli supporters who want the rest of the logical world to proclaim and agree that he is on the same ELITE level as most of the other QBs in the HOF, and that is just absurd. Nick Foles has a superbowl win and mvp against Brady and the Pats ..... anyone even mentioning any possibility of him getting a mention of HOF??? Why? Because he's a backup QB who had a great moment. Eli's greatest achievement is his longevity .... and along with 2 great moments ... he'll get a HOF nod.

@@Dominican-cx8ny I mean starting for 15 odd seasons in the golden age of passing will do that for a QB statistically, and the franchise history thing doesn't mean much for the same reason. They didn't throw the ball regularly until the 1960s and even 1970s depending on the team you look at. I mean Tony Romo is number 1 in Dallas franchise history for every passing statistic, but he's certainly not Staubach or Aikman. Manning will be a HOFer, just not for being an elite QB; longevity and leading a team that beat Brady twice in his prime are his claims to fame. And that's perfectly fine.

You sure about that? Playoff Eli had Aaron Rodgers shaking in his shoes in 2016. Doesn't matter who is feared its about who performs. Stay stupid clown. Eli was a great QB to achieve what he did. Not all, but most of his teams were bad. He worked hard to get his passing yds. because his guys dropped so much he made 400 attempts and more. Many QBs arms would fall off throwing that much. Eli was a product of the Manning qb camp/family business. He was ok and beat the pats(which we're all grateful for/jealous of) but like Ryan said he wasn't feared because he's just not that kind of qb. Even the sb winning seasons they were wild card, 9-6 teams...yeah they played well down the stretch but it wasn't all Eli and alot of it was just Eli playing "just" above average to get em over the top.

You can't be a bad QB to make the Hall of Fame. You need to do something worthy. Two Super Bowl MVPs, beating a 16-0 and 15-1 team (on the road) and having two of your best drives to win both Super Bowls in the final minute gets you there.

Ryan Clark did get his first interception against Eli Manning ... in a game that the Giants won 36 - 0. Clark played Eli 7 more times in his career and never got another interception off of Eli. As a matter of fact Clark's teams only won 3 games out of those 8 but hey, congrats on that one interception you got that time.

@@jasonmartin7798 my point is that while he did get his first interception off of Eli, he's using that single moment as of it proves his point that Eli wasn't that good even though it was a completely insignificant moment that didn't affect the outcome of the game. The Giants dominated that game and Eli had a winning record against Clark throughout his career. He's trying to say that he has some kind of special objective insight on Eli because he played against him but he's conveniently leaving out the fact that Eli and the Giants played pretty well against his teams.

What else do you want he beat the so called unbeatable Patriots who were blowing teams he beat Brett farve Aaron Rodgers Tony Romo that's so stupid to say take away someone's championship two championships at that yes he wasn't great regular season QB but how many QBs are great during the regular season but terrible in the post season give me a guy like Eli who can be at least average in the regular season but put him in the playoffs and that man make it happen

Exactly what happens when you mix players and non-players. Players know where the bar of respect is set amongst the greats and the avg. Those two tiers have to meet somewhere, and it may start with Eli touching both tiers! LOL! This is a great topic of debate btw!

Stats, longevity, four pro bowls, 2x Superbowl MVP, Beat the most dominate team in NFL history TWICE in the Superbowl, Beat Arguably the GOAT TWICE in the Superbowl, Beat Arguably Greatest coach of all time, all without a #1 WR or a Dominate RB. He's a hall of fame'er.

This is an interesting discussion. Eli and Big Ben both have about the same number of yards and TDs, but Eli has 50 more INTs and is not as accurate. However, Big Ben routinely had a top defense in the NFL up until about 2011, and then when his passing stats took off in 2013, this coincided with Antonio Brown going on his 6-season tear of 1200-yard, 100-reception seasons. I would give the edge to Big Ben, as he led the league in passing yards twice, whereas Eli led the league in interceptions three times. Also, Big Ben played fewer games than Eli due to injuries and got his yards and TDs in fewer games, whereas Eli never missed a start due to injury.

His resume is basically the same as joe Flacco. If Flacco were to win another super bowl, I still don’t think ppl would want to put him in the HOF. So we shouldn’t treat Eli differently because he’s a manning and played forever

Flacco threw for 20,000 less yards and about 150 less TD's. He has 1 less ring and Eli was MVP in both games. That is like saying Allen Iverson has the same Resume as Glenn Robinson.

It’s about changing the game. Eli has not changed the game. He should not be a HOF. QBs that cannot effect the game without a game plan, should not be a HOF. Super bowls should not be a criteria that automatically get you in. Eli did not beat the patriots the Giants defense dude.

@@jamaalhorton2343 95%? You must not be a Giant's fan at all....now way. He had Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Tiki Barber at running back. For TE, he had perennial probowler Jeremy Shockey. For receivers he had Victor Cruz, Amani Toomer, Plaxico Burress, Sterling Shepard, and Odell Beckham. His line did suck for many of those years.

The hall of Fame isn't solely for the legendary players, that's why they have tiers. You don't have to be Tom Brady to be a hall of famer. Eli is a hall of famer but a late ballot hall of famer. Dudes top 10/15 in every QB category, has two rings, and two super bowl MVPs. The fact that we're even having this conversation is laughable

Fans who throw shade on Eli don't understand sports, don't understand champions. In both of Mannings 2 super bowl wins, the Giants trailed the New England Patriots with ONLY 2 minutes to go in the game and took possession of the ball on their own 20 yard line. IT WAS THE CLASSIC BIG GAME SITUATION. IT WAS THE BIG MOMENT WHICH ELEVATES GOOD PLAYERS TO GREAT. In both games, Manning lead the Giants down the field for the game winning touchdown, completing passes with impossible yardage to go on 4th down. Jimmy Garappolo was in the same situation against the Kansas City Chiefs in their super bowl matchup and failed to complete the passes. Wake up Eli haters.
