Eliminating Attachment Binding in Implant Overdentures

This video describes a simple method to identify and adjust areas where an implant overdenture might be binding on an abutment and preventing full seating of the denture. Sir this is not related to the video but a rpd manual no. 11 on your site have a section call design session..can i get the ans of all the rpd design for that specific classification.

My appointment is 8/13 and I really need help before then. I’m getting 2 top and 2 bottom implants just like in video. I wanted to know will the denture be still snug or will it rock upwards in the back since there only two. Please help

Every case is different (because of differences in the amount and distribution of bone support, the position of the teeth in relation to that support, the amount of surface area of the denture, how well the denture seats on both the implants and the gum tissues, etc.). However you should experience less movement than you would expect with a normal denture. For most patients they find this a significant improvement to previous dentures without implants.

@@DrLoneyDal would you prefer 2 normal size implant like in the video or 4 mini ones?

@@blackapplegallery It is not possible to give specific recommendations for any one patient because patient variables are too numerous to consider without knowing a patient’s anatomy, preferences, etc. In general, most patients are very happy with two standard implants. Increasing the number of implants tends to increase the retention and stability of a denture, but also tends to make complete seating of the denture more difficult if the implants are not sufficiently parallel to each other.
