To become a Recruit of The Code in Elite Dangerous there are a few requirements you must meet.
1. You must be at least 18+. We make very few exceptions for this rule on a case by case basis. If we find that you were dishonest about this you will be banned.
2. Despite your Total Assets, you need 300 million credits Liquid (aka credits on hand) or 10 rebuys, whichever is lower.
3. You must have unlocked the following Engineers:
Professor Palin
Didi Vaterman
Felicity Farseer
Selene Jean
Lei Chung
If you are short of anything you need to unlock an engineer, a group called EIC can help you get it easily at a cost. Go here for more information:

4. You must have and use Discord, and be willing to download and use Team Speak

Gotta say, i've seen plenty of so-called "pirates" who will demand your whole cargo and waste you afterwards or just start shooting without a word, but from what i've seen you Code fellows are doing it right. Polite, making fair demands, and keeping your promises of safety. I may prefer hunting pirates to being one, but i have respect for an honourable pirate. ED needs more people like this.

Personally only been pirated once by a player, looking for void opals. like you he was kind enough to state his intentions and was rewarded with my cargo, i dropped 5t of void opals but he only wanted 1, so let me pick up the rest.

Now this is a proper pirate! While this can be annoying when you're on the receiving end it is far far better than the ones who claim to be pirates but just destroy ships. Plus I can respect the role play.

I fly my trade cutter fully a-graded and heavily engineered so I can blast guys like you into the next dimension. Of course I throw away some cargo space, but I'm a lot safer. The biggest pirate ship I encountered so far was only a python though. And probably not very well equipped. This is not meant as an insult btw.

Looking at this first guy a cool idea for a patch strikes me: I feel that, if you want to log out during combat you should be given a 20 seconds timer until you can log out and the COVAS should tell you that the target is about to log out. Then you can at least set his ass on fire which would make combat logging ineffective.

Even better: if a player is in the same instance as you when you log off / lose connection / whatever, and you're not docked at a station, you remain floating around in the instance for, say, 1 minute, and if you take any damage, the timer resets

Great cmdr name lolol. When I bought the game years ago, the game asks for your players name. I decided to go by geko, and thought captain geko sounded good. So I went with capngeko not knowing it would place captain in front of your name so I'm Captain capngeko lolol

If they actually had enough Shields they would probably have enough time to run. They don't usually get out of the range before I can drop their shields. Also, they don't want to risk death because it says if you try to run you'll walk the plank. I also have groms, a fuel scoop and a fast scan wake scanner. So good luck running

Make th' scurvy loggers walk th' airlock, yarr. Nice video, had to mute the sound tho :p Back when I was fairly new, I got intercepted by a pirate like this. He didn't have limpets, though. Just threatened me to drop cargo. I panicked, tried to run and, with my exploration-configured thin shields, got blown away pronto. Got so flustered that I considered self destructing out of spite the next time that happened. I feel ashamed of that childishness of my past self. Now I would probably drop the cargo, especially considering that most people who intercept you will just start shooting without a comment.

Yeah that happened to me once in my T7. One time I was pirating and I did not have any limpets, but the trader did, so I pirated the limpets.

01:19 - It was this point where i couldnt help but imagine limpets grabbing ppl who where forcefully ejected into -370 °C-cold space and shuffing them throug your cargo hatch. Does anyone know if slaves sell at s worse price when one or several of their limbs are frozen of or when they are dead? New commodoty: Dead empiral slaves. Price somewhere at animal meats price or something

i think they're ejected in groups of about a dozen inside little escape pods/containment cells, presumably with some kind of basic life support, possibly in cryostasis remember 1 unit of cargo is 1 ton. 1 person weighs a lot less than that. thats like a dozen people, but its represented as a single entity in the game

it's considered a bitch move especially when you attack first, its like running up behind someone donkey punching them then running into your house and locking the door. but when you are the one being attacked its still a bitch move but if you're flying without a rebuy or something like that hell i wont prosecute you for it

Dude, I get piracy and all, and when it's big ships (like the T9) then fair play, they've been at the game for a while, but please do NOT pirate small ships like that cobra, most new players will up and quit the game completely when that shit happens and that's really bad for our dying community.

type 9 should have just logged out.. took his 15 seconds and kept most of his cargo.. against the game rules to CRTL+ALT+Delete.. normal logging with timer is perfectly legal and pisses pirates off.
