The Blues try is the definition of why they came up with the idea of ‘backwards out of the hands’. The passing player can be seen keeping his momentum and the ball stays behind him. Basic physics.
@jonnybaynham1689
@jonnybaynham1689 11 месяцев назад
This was the comment I was looking for. I just couldn't figure out how it would be physically possible for Ioane to throw a backwards pass at that speed and momentum.
@nicholaswhite3811
@nicholaswhite3811 11 месяцев назад
This answer is a sop to pseudo physics. Assuming the player can run Olympic 100m speed he is doing 22mph. If he just drops the ball at this speed momentum will indeed carry the ball forward. The amount the ball travels forward before hitting the ground is imperceptible to the eye. To see the forward mode of the ball will require high speed cameras and laser technology. If a player is running at 22 mph and passes backwards the speed of his hand/ arm movement will cause the ball to travel backwards relative to his position at release. To make the ball go forwards by an amount that is perceptible he has to pass forwards. It is simple school boy physics. The law changers made the change to shut up pseudo physicists. If your hand movement is backwards you can’t pass forwards no matter how fast you are running

@@nicholaswhite3811 You must have failed school boy physics. Passing the ball results in a lot more air time than simply dropping the ball so the forward drift is easily visible to the naked eye in real time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-box08lq9ylg.html

Stop this video at 1:55. The ball is out, it’s behind the last NZ foot. The NZ 9 has the ball in two hands and has lifted it off the ground. Lawes is behind the back foot i.e. he is onside. Of course the final score doesn’t reflect this and like you I have to grin and bear it.

You should do a compilation of Marika Koroibete's denied tries. He's had 6 of 7 absolutely amazing tries that have been brought back for one reason or another.

When I played school rugby, our rugby coach had to referee one of our games once, and he didn’t give a penalty to us after a player jumped into the tackle, and when we protested about him scoring, he said ‘you should have tackled him’ and it’s so true 😂 Regardless of the issue, I think that the vast majority of these tries should have stood, because if the ball carrier was tackled, the try wouldn’t have been scored

Mackenzie to Ioane was forward an then Smith to Retallick was also forward. The fact that these were even picked up by any official is incredible because the ABs have been getting away with ‘flat’ passes for years. If it’s not backwards, it’s forward

One that should be on this list is one of the tried New Zealand scored in the 2021 world cup final. That should have been brought back and the new zealand player penalised for playing Abby Ward in the air at the lineout. Somehow, it wasn't. I can only assume because the unwritten rule that you don't have to apply the laws of the game against new zealand apply to the women as well as the men.

Cant argue with that first clip... Pass was forward... Player was literally 1m ahead when the ball left the hands... If you dont see that maybe its time to book an appointment to the ophltalmologist...

You forgot Etzebeth in ‘22 vs ARG at home for… obstruction while ball-carrying. Also ZA away vs ARG for Franco Mostert knocking on with his right hand onto his left (thence backwards). Also Kolbe vs NZ for non-compliance with the non-existent downwards pressure requirement. These together with the phantom obstruction Mapimpi disallowance are complete coïncidence and are unrelated to the well-documented antipathy of Officialdom towards the notorious social media influencer at the helm of Bok rugby.

@matthew-tx6is

You have to make a genuine attempt at kicking it at the goal posts. By the law it should've been a scrum where the kick was taken. It's up to referee to determine if genuine attempt

Basically he purposely missed the penalty to get 5 points instead of 3. It would be given if it was not so blatant that he was missing on purpose bc imagin everyone just missing penalty kicks on purpose to get more points it would loose its meaning. So ye it would only be allowed if there was an attempt to actually make it in
