The way JPJ plays CB reminds me of the physical Steelers teams of my childhood in the 2000s. He’d fit right in with his dad on the Super Bowl XL team and I’m sure he’d be able to play well in any era considering historically DB’s were allowed to play even more physical. I’m excited to see how great he becomes!
I do think Pickens has an elite season. His stats were actually pretty impressive last year despite Canada and the atrocious QB play. Plus, it sounds like he did put in some serious work at his route running in the offseason. I think the improvement in all of those areas will more than make up for the increased attention he will receive.
I agree Benton is a beast and will become new leader when Cam retires and Steelers will honor Cam he will get his 3 yrs and definitely 1 ring maybe 2 Cam gonna have 10 sacks this year and nobody mentions Cams batted balls easily 2-4 a game
I don't think it was about bringing him along slowly I think it was more about holding a vicious pittbull back and then just letting him go... I think they built up his competitive rage and let him loose on the league so now he's just all rage... I love it
The receiving core is a little better than trash. GP will be doubled again, hence all the go routes. Losing Cam is a huge deal and will affect the defense. JP IS NOT a lockdown corner. He's decent, but overall our secondary is suspect. We'll dominate the short field again this yr defensively. Special teams are better & QBs are better. We make it outbof the 1st round this yr 💪🏾
GP is elite as long as he can keep his head right. He can either be a 14 or 1500 yard receiver, or a 900 yard guy. It all depends on where his head is at and if Russ can be the Russ of a few years ago
