Elizabeth + Nathan || "I don't think I was listening to my heart..." 

The writers and showrunner are rewriting Lucas and Elizabeth love story because Nathan and Elizabeth never had one all of the passion and chemistry was Lucas and Elizabeth. Nathan could'nt get her to go on a date to the cafe with him some love story.

I would really love to hear how you came around to accepting that Nathan was always endgame. I have tried to look at Lucas and Elizabeth edits and join in the comments or even engage Lucas fans who comment on these Nathan/Elizabeth edits but they seem so often to be so angry that they belittle Nathan. Maybe Nathan fans did the same after Season 8 and I was just not aware. But it would be nice to have the thoughts of a Lucas fan who now thinks Nathan was always endgame.

@@patriciak5702 I decided to look at it without bias. I went back and watched the Elizabeth/Nathan scenes. Scenes I ignored because I was a Lucas fan. I watched the fear and heartache she went through over Nathan. Fear he was hurt. Relief that he was okay that threw her into Nathan’s arms. Literally. How she cried on her horse after rejecting Nathan when he told her he loved her. I realized she ignored her own hurt in that rejection because she was afraid she would lose him like she did Jack. Fear is was made that choice. Then I went back to Elizabeth/Lucas scenes. As sweet as they were. Elizabeth’s passion for Nathan was greater. I realized it when Henry confronted her about her feelings for Nathan and she side stepped him. A real fan will look at the story objectively. 😁❤️ Now I can’t wait to see Nathan and Elizabeth’s story, and see what woman comes along and steals Lucas’s heart.

@@lannaewell6274 Thank you so much for your response. You have seen what I have seen (and what I think most Nathan fans have seen). Because of the way the story was written up until that point, it just did not make sense to me that Lucas was then made endgame. Neither of them brought out in each other what E and N did for each other. I love both actors and watch their other movies. If they had had Chris play the role of Nathan instead of Kevin then I would have been pulling for Chris (because of how the story was written). I too went and looked at the L and E love story and it was sweet, but like Faith told Nathan, “Something was in the way.” Or words to that effect. But yes, thanks for sharing.

It was Aunt Elizabeth and the Mountie they were never married and she did'nt stay in one place all the time she was in the class room more now Elizabeth is never in the classroom I guess she fogot she was a Teacher the writers did.

I agree that she almost needed to choose the rebound first so she could figure out her heart and mind that fear was the reason she didn't choose Nathan in the fist place. I think that John Tinker took it to far having Elizabeth become engaged to Lucas. Now you have some TL that still deny that this was the direction the show was supposed to take. They like to say it a rewrite a recon or something like that. However, they had clues all showrunners had clues in all seasons S6-S11 that it was Nathan!

@@BeverlyR-dl5ft Listen to your self rebound that was'nt what that was it was love it had been two seasons since Jack died so that was not rebound she opened her heart to the one she was suppose to be with Lucas if I had been Nathan I would have thought I was the rebound and would not wanted to have anything to do with her after all of that display of affection she showed him all over this small town for all to see. Nathan had nothing going for him but Allie they both had a kid but Lucas showed more love for Lil Jack than Nathan and he is not layered they don't have that much in common you can't make him something that he is'nt. Any one that says out loud that they are not in love with you she was seeing Jack in him and then turn around and be in love with you not saying to much for the Teacher either. The writers and showrunner bached this up really good don't you think. Never Nathan.

@@izettalilton8404 she was traumatized & being harsh and lying to herself & Nathan was the only way in S8 that she thought she could get Nathan to stop persuing her. Her fear was real! Actually Nathan & Elizabeth have more than just the kids in common though children are a bigger connection than books any day. Being single people, Nathan a single uncle/father & Elizabeth a single mother was a bigger connection! Actually Nathan was the first to ask Elizabeth about her writing. In S6, he comes across Elizabeth & little Jack and she has the book 📖 that was wrote as Elizabeth Thatcher with her. The book that Jack Thornton had drawn pictures in. So, he picked it up & looked at it. He said "Elizabeth Thatcher that's you isn't it?" She said, "yes" then they started talking about the book. Then Elizabeth said she was told the best writing ✍ comes from the heart. Nathan said, "What's in your heart?" In season 8 Nathan asks Elizabeth about her writing & completed her on her writing with the book she got published as Elizabeth Thorton that Lucas inappropriately sent to his mother without Elizabeth's permission. Then Allie & her friends got ahold of a book that Lucas suggested. Then Allie used things from that book to scare her friends at the cabin about ghosts. 👻 Both Elizabeth & Nathan were upset with Lucas for that. Nathan was probably pissed with Lucas. Nathan & Elizabeth were upset with Allie too! Also, Allie wrote a paper for school. Elizabeth was impressed with what Allie wrote & showed Nathan. Nathan compliments Allie on her school work & then turns the compliment on Elizabeth. Nathan's words to Allie were "I guess Mrs. Thorton isn't the only accomplished writer in town." So he gave a praise to Allie for her work while acknowledging Elizabeth's accomplished work. Then when the book of Elizabeth's came to town for the community to buy, Nathan gives Elizabeth more praise for her writing & she wrote how he is a impeccable mountie & treasured friend. (Remember at this point she was still in her safe relationship w/L) Also, when the library opened we saw both Nathan & Allie there. Nathan likes to read too! At this time Jack Jr. was still a baby. He was there at the library with Elizabeth. We also saw Nathan at the library by himself checking out books. 📚 He ran into Rosemary & told her he has read alot of female authors, but will never understand women. Rosemary tried to get him to back away from a trying for a relationship with Elizabeth. Nathan said. "I can't give up Elizabeth that easily. I just can't." So, Lucas doesn't hold a monolopy on books! 🤣 Elizabeth & Nathan can have books in common! 📚 Also, when Allie was babysitting Jack Jr. in S10, & she got her dad's help finding Jack. Well Nathan stayed ti comfort Allie. Once Allie was asleep next to Nathan on the couch, we saw Nathan reading a book 📚 at Elizabeth's house after Nathan stayed to reassure his daughter everything was okay with her first babysitting job & allowed her to sleep while Jack Jr. was sleeping upstairs in his room. Then Elizabeth came home & Elizabeth & Nathan talked about Allie's first babysitting job. So, yes Nathan has the kids & books in common with Elizabeth. Also, both Elizabeth & Allie are in the choir. Nathan while not a showy man loves music. Nathan did sing & play guitar 🎸 with his daughter, Allie. So, Elizabeth & Nathan have music in common. I see Nathan having sweet loving family time with Elizabeth, Allie, & Jack Jr. in the future whether that is as an official family or just Nathan & Allie with his girlfriend Elizabeth & her son, Jack. 🎶 Then Elizabeth will always understand Nathan's work as she was already married to a mountie before. So, there will always be a connection there. Nathan will have a connection to Elizabeth as a teacher because one she teaches Allie & two both Elizabeth & Nathan have careers serving the community. So, they have that connection. The mountie/teacher story is different though if the writers do marry Nathan & Elizabeth because Nathan is a different man from Jack. Nathan has a different personality. He is also a uncle/father. We never saw Jack as a father he died before Elizabeth found out she was pregnant. We never really saw a much of a marriage for mountie Jack & Elizabeth. Jack & Elizabeth's marriage we saw maybe two weeks. Then Jack went to his post in Fort Clay. Then 2 months later Jack died. Now we will see the courtship & marriage of Elizabeth & Nathan! It will be different because we will actually see them married for more than two weeks! We will see more than just a honeymoon stage. We will see the honeymoon & then married life for Elizabeth & Nathan. Also, it will be completely different having children being raised in a blended family! WCTH went back to their roots & heart of the show about a mountie & a teacher! Nathan & Elizabeth have a strong connection & a strong foundation for their relationship. They have a friendship love, (as your partner should be your best friend) a steadfast love, a romantic love, & a forever lifetime love. The type of love you should have in a marriage relationship. Nathan & Elizabeth are ENd game!

@@izettalilton8404 I think there is a misunderstanding that TN doesn't like Lucas. For most TN that's not true. We like the character Lucas as the mysterious saloon owner in S6 & S7 that showrunner Alfonso Mereno created. We were even okay with Alfonso's vision of Lucas temporarily dating Elizabeth as he would have done had he still been showrunner in S8. Unfortunately after S7 AM left WCTH (Probably personal reasons like family issues) So, Hallmark hired John. Unfortunately, JT took the show far away from the simple casual dating that Alfonso had planned when he thought of E & L as a couple. Elizabeth was only supposed to reject Nathan out of fear because of the trauma of losing Jack & not wanting to lose another great love the same way. Nathan was her great love, but she was fearful to be in a relationship with him. AM would never have gotten E & L engaged. So, Lucas was meant to be in a safe relationship with Elizabeth for a little while until Elizabeth came to her senses. It wasn't supposed to be that passionate, but lustful kisses that JT wrote for Elizabeth & Lucas at the bridge & other kisses. That wasn't love! Elizabeth had a fondness for the charmer Lucas that she tried to convince herself was love with how JT wrote this garbage. I know the writers called it a safe love, but I call BS on that! They are just trying to appease TL with the safe love excuse! Maybe there was some friendship love with both liking books. 📚 So, maybe that's why the writers called it a safe love. However, the physical relationship was lust. Also, it looked forced between CM & EK as L& E. It wasn't even good!!! Still no strong foundation for a relationship for E & L. Elizabeth wouldn't even talk about her late, husband Jack with Lucas. Elizabeth talked to Nathan about her late husband, Jack.. Lindsay Sturman as showrunner & Alfonso Mereno as consultant in S10 & S11 showed this well. It was Elizabeth & Nathan that had a strong foundation. They had chemistry & a connection even though in S8, S9, & S10 E & N were only supposed to have a solid, strong friendship & connection. Also, Alfonso created the characters Nathan & Lucas in S6. AM helped with bringing Lucas mysterious past back into play even though JT dropped that part of Lucas story in S8 & S9 because JT is an idiot! Like I said before JT's story was garbage! 🗑 That's why majority of hearties didn't buy it & Hallmark fired JT. S10 We saw LS & AM make Lucas governor. Perfect for Lucas. He is a charmer trying to impress people all the time which is just like a politician. Great job LS, AM, & the writing team for writing ✍ that into the script! CM is actually a more reserved actor than KM. As a reserved actor CM didn't have chemistry with EK for L & E. CM is a nice guy from what I have seen of him in his interviews. The WCTH casting got two really hot & sexy men to play Nathan & Lucas. CM is more reserved like I said & he does better acting on his own like in S6 as the mysterious saloon owner & in S10 & S11 as the governor. I think since CM is so reserved the WCTH team should get CM'S real life girlfriend, Julie to be a character to play Lucas' New love interest. I think it would make CM more comfortable. Unfortunately CM'S scenes with EK looked forced as L & E. With KM & EK there is a natural chemistry as Elizabeth & Nathan. But Hallmark showrunner LS, consultant AM, & the writing team fixed JT'S mess! It ended up being a beautiful love story for Elizabeth & Nathan. A gentle, " Love Comes Softly" storyline & romance for Nathan & Elizabeth. Starting in S6 & all the way to Elizabeth declaring to Nathan, "Nathan, I'm in love with you." in S11, episode 11 & then we saw more romance in episode 12. With the garbage 🗑 JT wrote ✍ LS, AM, & the WCTH writing team ✍ some brilliant storylines for Elizabeth & Nathan as a couple! Also, they write governor Lucas' story well too!. I believe Lucas will be a successful governor in S12. Then he will get a new love interest in S12. I hope it's CM's real life girlfriend Julie. She is an actress. I think since CM is so reserved he would be more comfortable as the character Lucas partnered up with a character played by Julie. Someone Lucas meets in CC. I want to see E, N, & L eventually all be friends. I want to see Nathan & Elizabeth married. I want to see the blended family. I want to see N adopt Jack Jr. & for Jack to call Nathan, "dad" just like Allie called her uncle N, "Dad" after Nathan adopted Allie. I want Elizabeth to adopt Allie. I want to see Allie call Elizabeth, "Mom" with E, N, & L being friends Lucas can remain little Jack's "buddy" I want to see Elizabeth & Nathan still honor Jack Thornton by making Jack Jr.'s legal adopted name Jack Thornton-Grant once Nathan becomes Jack Thornton-Grant's adoptive "Dad" Elizabeth would want to honor her husband, Nathan & little Jack's adotive "Dad" by giving him Grant as a last name too! This show is getting back to the roots & heart of WCTH & it's beautiful!

Nathan had it figured it out a long time ago, 3 seasons ago, actually, but Elizabeth ran. She's the problem, lol. Promos show she might finally be caught up to Nathan. I say it's about time!!

Hopefully we will see that in Season 12. ❤

All 😂. They have stayed great friends though it all. But it's in the last season he shows that he is really there. But watch it all, but it explains a lot. It's not like she just dumped Lucas.

Chemistry goes, it must all be in the eye of the beholder. I never cared for Jack, Lucas is only good looking, but Nathan has layers to his character, so I see real chemistry and connections between him and Elizabeth.
