What actions exactly? Because nothing has been proven and it's all just been literal hearsay. You people are so weird, I had to google who's dog did she run over, or who did she kill. And the only reason why i can think of a reaction this extreme is because she's a lesbian, or old, or a woman. So I'm fairly confident that you're a homophobic, ageist sexist.
Ellen's response is a typical narcissist move by making herself the victim of her own behavior. There are many accounts of her employees stating how mean Ellen was herself, and how she set the overbearing and harsh tone of the workplace, so for Ellen to blame the executives of her show displays her lack of accountability and narcissist traits. There are even accounts where even her wife Porsha, had to apologize for Ellen after Ellen left from her arguments. I remember her being so financially tone deaf when, during the lockdown in 2020, she joked about her being in lockdown in her mansion with her wife was just like being in a female prison. lol, Ellen complaining about dancing up the stairs and making it seem it was so grueling for her....uh, what does that have to do with basic workplace professionalism? If it was so taxing on her, she could have not done it. lol.
People like her and JLO who tell us "regular" people we can't look them in the eye are fcking clowns. But they are so full of themselves, so they will never understand it.
nobody said "gay victim" nor was it implied, you are making that up because you are so obsessed with queer people. You will be okay, you are not the victim either. People do not like her because she is fake and mean.
@@shmell918 nah, we’re collectively over-tired having peoples sexual preferences shoved in our faces, schools, politics, etc. Keep it in the bedroom where it belongs. It’s not homophobic to not want to hear about it anymore.
Except it's kinda true. Polanski raped a kid et he's still invited everywhere and does film. It's not an excuse, she did some shitty stuff but the double treatment of her and other people who have been accused of worse things is interesting to say the least
I don’t understand, Hollywood is literally crawling with them. We have men who’ve filmed themselves fucking children and they get their careers back….what evil thing exactly did this person do? A person whom we once celebrated.
I grew up religiously watching Ellen’s 12 Days of Giveaways every year and I really did find joy in her show, and it was so unfortunate that she’s the first celebrity whose mask I watched slip in real time.
Is surreal, isn't it? Someone can seem so real and kind and happy, and then slowly the facade crumbles. It's very hard to watch especially if you were a true fan
same i grew up with my mom who loved her and i loved her too man i thought she was funny and i loved the guests she would have on her show. i never used to really watch her show because it would come on 3pm when i was still in school so id catch the clips on RU-vid where i'd watch the interviews of my favorite celebrities. took me a while to finally stop following her because i didn't want it to be true but thank god i did. she's messy as hell.
Hollywood will forgive anything if they think they can make a dollar. We the public need to ignore these nasty people being forced on us. Maybe then they will go away!
Ellen needs to accept that she was absolutely targeted & treated horribly, the 1st time when she came out in the 90’s (during her sitcom Ellen). However, she took out her anger & pain around that period & put it on her talk show staff. You can’t take out that type of vitriol on innocent people who probably weren’t even born then. She needs to get over it
Her sexual orientation has nothing to do with the way people talk about her now. If anything it was her sexual identity that made her so big in the first place. If it wasnt for her being gay, she'd be long gone from television and no one would even remember her name these days. I never got good vibes from her, she seemed way too fake and the little jabs she'd get in her interviews were obvious, people just overlooked them cause she had that be kind mask on for the world. But in 2020s, nobody cares what the person Ur sleeping with has in their pants, and being gay isn't a personality anymore. It's about as interesting as Ur favourite colour.
I worked at NBC years ago. Ellen was syndicated on our O&O's and affiliates. I wasn't in production-I was in sales-and I was in New York, but we all knew what a nightmare she was. It was an open secret that she was awful, and it made me laugh when people were "so shocked" to find out she wasn't the person she portrayed on TV. She showed glimpses of it on her show. It was right under everyone's nose and they refused to see it.
Someone saying they were kicked out of show business… while doing a stand up tour in multiple cities that is reviewed by Rolling Stone. There have been people who were *really* kicked out of show business, a lot of them for things as small as rejecting or divorcing a more powerful person.
Before her cancellation, I met someone in the business around 2018. He said she was the worst to work with. For her to complain from her mansion is hilarious. How about take accountability and change for the better?
No she doesn't sound bitter, At All! Her statement alone reflects the lack of self awareness this woman has. It's been my experience with ego driven people that when someone has to spend time Telling you how nice and how kind they are, well, often times they are not. Kindness is not giving away gifts then talking about it Constantly. Saving Gorillas? It's great to donate money to help animals, but she might want to try being that patient with Humans.
The audacity to act like the victim and complain about how it took a toll over her ego. It's all about her, her, her. No consideration for the victims, all they got was a half-assed apology
This. She is "kind" only to people that are beneficial to her. They both present this nice/philanthropic image while treating people under them like shit.
“I don’t want what I did consistently for years to be my legacy” well maybe you shouldn’t have done it. You don’t get to choose what people remember. We have receipts babe.
It sounds like she still doesn’t take any responsibility, nor does she have any remorse. And now she’s making a comeback? No lesson learned here it seems. She’s playing the victim! She needs to stay gone.
Dory: "I know you voice me & all but, I wouldn't do this. You really should've just kept swimming in the other direction. Do I need to say it in whale? SWIIIIiiiiim THHeeeee UHHHthERRR WAAaaAAAY."
If you truly are a good person, the people closest to you would defend you and refute the rumors. I don't remember seeing her friends, or many of ther friends and colleagues defend her. That's telling.
'I don't really hold onto this stuff' meanwhile saying she'll get cancelled for being mean, old and gay. Right. Nothing being held on at all... Also acting like she was only an actress to act as a host, and not one of the executive producers or anything. She had a say and power and used it, but is just turning around and playing dumb. This is one of those cases where no lesson was learned.
I wonder if she mentioned or thinks of twitch. The stuff that she complains about i find hard to sympathize with cause she still has her money and obviously isnt rhat canceled if she has a comedy show but what happened to stephen and his family is true heartbreak. Rip twitch.
Is it really wise for her to jump into the public spotlight? Just as Diddy and all his crazy mess is spilling over? We all know she's been entangled with that man and his insane drama, why would she choose to get in the spotlight now is beyond me.
still not taking accountability for her bad behavior and joking about it. mind you, she was exposed not only for being a mean person irl, but also because she allowed racist behavior and there were also SA allegations. freddie highmore (the good doctor/bates motel actor) shared a story about going to a talkshow and being shoved into a broom closet because the host was coming and didn't want to see or speak to anyone, and most people believe it was ellen.
It just sucks. It sucks that she has always been mean. It sucks that so many happy moments from that show are tainted. But videos of hers pop up on my Facebook all the time, and you can see the mean spirit in some of her interactions with guests.
The real truth is that Ellen was checked out of that show loooong before all the official stories came out. Every interview of her last couple of years on air, she looked increasingly impatient and uninterested with her guests. It was the true definition of “a smile that never reached her eyes.” She was reciting the lines, playing the part, and then driving home to her mansion, and thought that was enough, but clearly had no idea of how obvious her exhaustion was and how slack and negative her management had become. The bright, cheerful, warm Ellen of the early 2000s had been gone for years at that point, and that’s why it was so easy for people to believe those stories when they came out.
Her show in the 90s was cancelled due to ratings. Ratings probably dropped once her character also came out. I remember when she came out.. ( i think on people magazine, but one of the "scandal sheets" (tabloids) she did the interview with had a picture of her with the headline "Yup, Im Gay" on the cover 😂😂 i was a preteen but it's one of those weird memories that stick with you for reason. I do remember it being quite the controversy
She “wasn’t the boss” but I’ve seen countless stories of her ordering people around and telling them what they can and can not do around her. Giving J-lo vibes
I stopped watching since all the stuff came out I used to rewatch her old episodes for nostalgia but can’t anymore I don’t know it doesn’t feel good to support her now.
