Great interview. Very interesting to hear how people - men and women - were spellbound and paralyzed when meeting Elvis. What kind of charisma did this guy have? Unlimited. Can think of nobody like that today.
Wow Billy you strike a gold this was my ultimate favorite interview that you met such a great strong powerful and fun woman i hope you enjoyed every minute of it I certainly did 10 stars for you Billy thank you and your helper Wow !!!

I don't remember hearing about Joanie , but I'm glad I got to hear about her relationship with Elvis . I never heard about Elvis painting the angels faces black . What a great story !! Elvis might of had his wild side , but he had a kind heart too . I laughed when she said Elvis was an okay kisser . lol !! That's funny !! But he sure was handsome and Joanie was beautiful too . It sounds like she had a pretty amazing life as well . Thank you Spa Guy for sharing another awesome video with us . Love it !!
This 2 part series and All The Other Wonderful Videos highlights why it is so very important to support The Spa Guy Billy and Trey Miller. Documenting History and all the people directly connected with Elvis before it is all gone.....This Woman is a Jewel and such a treasure to have listened to. Special Thank You to Jon Daly for introducing Joanie to Billy & Trey...Again, These are people and their stories that you cant find via EPE and Graceland (no disrespect at all to EPE or Graceland), but you cant find content like this ANYWHERE else! This was Incredible to say the least and we got to see some pictures like the one with Joanie's daughter and Elvis....NEVER saw that one before! Thank You Billy & Trey!

Great video yet again Spa Guy. Just wish you post your Elvis videos everyday even though that probably would be impossible as they are really brill viewing.👍😎
Great interviews. I really enjoyed hearing the behind the scenes stories of Elvis and other noteworthy people Joanie knew. Also, it was interesting hearing about the Vegas scene from the 60’s and 70’s and how business was conducted and relationships were formed. Great insights!
Great interview. Meet with Ms. Joanie Adams Shoofey again and interview her about herself and Las Vegas, as she's had a very interesting life and I'm sure many people would love to hear more about her... :)
What a lovely interesting lady. A nightmare to interview though I bet. She didn’t keep on track, but such an interesting life. What wonderful memories she has.
That lady never missed a beat...nothing wrong with her mind...sounds like she lived a full life and also she loved to talk about herself...😂 I don't think she was Elvis's type either....interesting lady though...
Shoofey's a smart women" I believe it all to be true from beginning to end, I could listen to her life storeys all day.. She sure got my attention I love a powerful women with a answer to everything ! 😍
That Lady is a real Jem for sure!! She’s been part of many things an many people’s lives! How cool would that be knowing all those big wheels!! And she talks really down to earth! Great job again SG! Thanks for bringing us such interesting videos!!👍
I'd not heard from Joanie before your interviews. Seen pics of her and knew who she was but hadn't heard her stories before. Fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
Hi spa guy, that was a lovely interview. Thank you . This lady Joanie shoofey is a strong and still very sharp minded character. I would be more inclined to think she has lived a very glamorous and fulfilled life .she is still a beautiful lady inside and out .She has great memories to share and is proudly doing so . Fair play to her 🙂 i loved her Elvis kissing story . Shes witty and funny. 😄🌸 you really search out genuine people with real life Elvis moments and stories . Love them all. Your the man billy . 👍🏻😄 thank you and your team for all your great efforts of showing the real Elvis the king as he truly should be remembered 🌸 your fans from ireland. Slainte.
Elvis lol was a wild one she says lol, but he wasn’t “her type” hmm she’s a hoot ! I’m sure not many woman would claim Elvis wasn’t their type. Strong personality she has 😂👍🏻
I can imagine Elvis and Joanie's strong personalities would have clashed had they been a couple. But wondering deep down if she really did like Elvis and maybe he didn't care for her as much. Yes, I can imagine she always got what she wanted. lol She likes to talk about herself and is a hoot to boot. She is a tough one for sure and sure looks good for her age of 83. It was fun to hear some of her stories though. But would have like to heard more about Elvis. Elvis shared too, but didn't brag about it or let it be known by telling about it. Joanie sure has lived an amazing life, and glad that Elvis wasn't a bad kisser and that it was mainly a joke. She sure has a lot of celebrity photos with her hanging on the walls. This was an interesting video for sure Bill and Trey, thanks for tightening up!
God Bless Ms Joanie's kind heart helping a black man get accommodation -days of segregation! The world thank her for the Elvis Show at the International.
Wow ,You have to do more interviews with her,She is so fascinating as a personality,Knows so much about the inside Vegas,Had no idea the Sweets stayed in trailers,Did they stop that and hVe then in the hotel?,Hair dye story was funny too
He missed a lot not doing A Star is Born. He would've been taken seriously as an actor which is what he wanted instead of being remembered for that crap the Colonel had him do.
@@GarlandFarms you called Streisand a tramp? It sounds like you dont know what "tramp" means. In fact , Elvis is 10 times a tramp she ever was and she never has been. She has been married 24 years. The number of women Elvis screwed and cheated on Priscilla with would put Gene Simmons to shame. In top of that, Streisand never had a scandal and she was never a drug addict. She has lived a clean life. Before ill informed name calling, do a little research on the meaning of words and a person's lifestyle.
@@lisag18 How can one disagree with facts? You`re right. It is what it is:) Streisand may not have had affairs and scandals like Elvis (and I truly respect her for that), BUT she shamelessly screwed her fans and audiences. The prices she charged for her concerts were simply perverted. Elvis gave to those who loved him. Streisand stripped many of them naked. I love her work but I`ve never liked her. She was a typical Taurus and they all love to outshine everybody else and they looove money and expensive things in order to show off.
As I recall they weren't angels. There were bas-relief sculptures along each side of the show room walls. They were sculptures of people in a theater and they were dressed in 18th century 1700's style. One night after the midnight show Elvis and his guys stayed in the show room horsing around and chasing each other around and wrestling. They found the black paint and proceeded to paint the faces of the sculptures black. The next night at the midnight show (don't know about the dinner show...never went to one), he pointed out what they had done and jokingly commented " we just thought there should be more equality". He wasn't making a statement regarding racial equality, he was just joking around and being entertaining. When Elvis' stint ended at the Hilton, sometimes he would move down to a different suite and stay in town a few more days going to different shows and having get togethers in his suite. I encountered Bill Cosby in the keno lounge once after Elvis had finished his gig and Cosby was getting ready to start his. Cosby stayed in the same suite on the 30th floor as Elvis. Elvis moved out, Cosby moved in. Sammy Davis also performed and stayed there as did other black entertainers. By the mid 70's African Americans were no longer required to stay elsewhere though many still preferred to stay at the Moulin Rouge.
