eMachines Netbook 355-1693 [Easy Bios Removal!]

Hi again. Just wanted to say that I removed hdd and RAM's, put in back and laptop loaded succesfully. But when I tried to do your trick again I got same problem. Tried with older BIOS version and got same problem. Any ideas?

Johan Liebert FAT32 is the necessary method to format.

Gamemaster1229 I did it, the usb is in fat32 but I will try it in booteable mod and not booteable mod, I hope it will work

+Gamemaster1229 I hope you back to me as soon as possible! a friend of my sister work as a teacher too far from city , soo her laptop 15.6inch giving her hard time on moving soo she decided to get a an old netbook! i found her a good deal on same laptop on video! do you recommend it or not ?

+Leader Mega hello Leader Mega, in all honesty, this netbook is only great when you have SSD running on it and light programs such as Microsoft word and such. This machine is not exactly considered impressive in any way really but it does get the job done. It is small and portable and if you are lucky enough, you can score this machine for about $100 more or less. This video was done to help those get around bios passwords for this exact machine because bios locks are often used more and more to prevent theft in schools, work, and etc but even then, it simply gets in the way when a user forgot password, accidentally put bios, or other reasons.

That friend will just use it for like word and slideshows while she's on her work meanwhile she s keeping her i3 laptop in her house for more heavy tasks

Are you trying to boot from a disk? Cd rom corrupt sounds like a disk your trying to boot off is corrupted. Solution is to use another working disk

Jeffery McNiff Make sure laptop is plugged in. Make sure it is an emachines model laptop. Make sure you copy and paste the file to usb. No need to burn anything. Copy, paste, done. Plug usb in laptop after. Usb must be fat32. No need to burn anything.

I am unsure how to process may work for that model but you can give it a shot. Every machine usually has a different technique but same brands should generally contain the same bios removal procedure. To be honest, I discovered this process by doing trail and error based off a hint found in the service guide of eMachine laptops which worked!

u have to remove the keyboard screws then pop the bottom case off

Follow the same exact steps I did in the video but type your model laptop in Google to download the necessary Bios firmware.

I specifically made this guide for the e Machines 355. Your using e525. I don't know if that model uses the same method to re flash the bios. If it does, you better be using the right bios firmware for that machine and not the firmware from the 355.

No, this method formats the bios. With access to the bios, you can boot CDS or usb flash drives with the right software if you want to format the HD
