Very impressive. The voice work is really good (at least for English) and I would think it would sound as good in both forms of Arabic as it does English.
I'm VERY hooked on this show already. While the voice acting is a little dull and could've been better casted, I still REALLY like everything else. The idea of an Arab superhero is so cool, and it's honestly something I think is really great to introduce to the Western audience, because you don't always see these kinds of shows taking place in diverse places like these. I love how the city looks simplistic yet futuristic at the same time, it really gives such awesome vibes. As for Emara/Moza herself, she's absolutely adorable yet totally badass. As of commenting this there are only 2 episodes but she really feels like a character with depth and real personality and pretty easy to relate to. Ahh! I just can't describe how much I love this already!!
Had the same though 2 years ago and decided to wait at least one year to have a bit more épisode ou si that i wont' be left on a cliff hunger. Good to be back here :D
same im gonna have my lil sis watch this i think she would love this and itll show her a more diverse world and the superhero guy with the rocket legs, has no legs. what a twist was not expecting that but makes his powers that much cooler i think, at first meh, but knowing he doesn't have legs makes his character so much more, i thought they were just like rocket boots. they got a good set up for sure and looks like a good story, heavily reminds me of the old superhero cartoons and shows in the 90s and early 2000s i love it
Oh wow this is so high quality for such a small studio!! This is so inspiring!! I love the action sequences and the style is just so adorable. Not to mention that opening theme: I went to the video for the intro and watched a few times to see its full beatuy. This series has me hyped and I'm excited to see more of this! I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but in some of the slower shots, for instance when Emara is at home, are a little stiff and I think could use a little more inbetweens to flow better. As an animator, I know these shots are the hardest because the movements aren't as drastic and they are rather boring to animate XD it was the only part of the episode I felt was a little stiff and could of used a little more love. Keep up the amazing work!
The intro basically traces scenes from the RE: Cutie Honey anime opening. People have pointed out a lot of other things its seems to heavily take reference from too :/
This is amazing! the only critique I have is that the voice audio sounds a little off at times, maybe something to do with the mic? Also, is there supposed to be no music playing in the credits. The lack of music feels kinda ominous and doesn't fit very well with the serene visual. I'd expect something like that near a season finale, not the first episode.
Noticed the mic thing as well....the animation is impressive but for some reason the male voices had this audio issue...not so.much with the female voices... Guessing they recorded it separately.... But still was so impressed with the animation that wouldn't dare to dwell so.much on that...bet they'll fix it
I know it was pretty good first episode of my opinion. I can understand the ending credit thing. but they only added it for the original version and not for the dubbed version. Also it make sense that the voices are alittle crunchy sounding in this especially since it ain't its original language. overall I think it's pretty good.
If this gets more comments the YT algorithm might recommend it more often. Do your part to spread this amazing show. Still waiting for a season 2!! The animators said they were on hiatus like 2 years ago. Bring EMARA back 2021!!
I don't think I can properly describe how blown away I am from this, everything looks so amazing and fluid!! I haven't seen any animated episode this well made in a while
fantastic, expressive, strong female lead? sassy sidekick with a mysterious backstory?? noodley-armed useless villain with an attitude and an army of silent faceless minions, all wrapped up in an espionage mystery and tied with a ribbon of spacetoon vibes?????? SIGN ME THE HECK UP MY DUDES I AM 100% SOLD PLEASE TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY
Wow, this was really well-made. I don't think I've ever seen an Arabic animated show with this much quality, this really feels like a mix of anime and western cartoons. I'm very impressed with this cartoon and I'm excited to see how this show will develop in the future, I really think this has a lot of potential.
i loved it!!!! however, i do have one suggestion. how about adding english subtitles to the arabic version? i love hearing the characters speak their native language. i personally think its more interesting watching it that way. nonetheless, i look forward for your future content! :) update: there's one already!
dino sore You're not Arabic speaker ? I think it is a good suggestion .. but I didn't know that foreigners like hearing Arabic voices! that surprised me ! I wish they add English subtitle to the Arabic episodes so soon ^^
maryam shanaa A lot of English speakers prefer to watch anime and the like in their original languages with subtitles. Some people just prefer to watch the show as it was originally intended, in case anything is lost in translation in the English dub. Also, the opening song sounds amazing, I couldn't care less that it's not in English.
Holy crap I don't know how I found this but it's so dang cool. I thought it was just a student animation project at first and then the freaking intro got me so hype.
it felt a bit weird to watch something from a culture that I'm so unfamiliar with but I can't say that I didn't enjoy every second of it!!! the animation is gorgeous! I love the action scenes and movement of characters! it's hard to believe that this is done by a small studio when it looks so much better than many big name cartoons now days
THIS IS SO AWESOME IM SO GLAD THIS CAME INTO MY RECOMMENDED WHEN IT DID EVERYTHING IS GORGEOUS AND SO WELL DONE AND I HOPE EVERYONE THAT WORKED ON THIS IS SUPER PROUD BECAUSE IT CAME OUT SO BEAUTIFUL
Love it! The animation has so much character, the designs are so appealing! Obviously anime-inspired, but not trying too hard to Be Anime, instead embracing its own style without forgetting its influences! At least that's my take i realize now how pretentious that 'analysis' sounded one thing though, I noticed some audio quality issues on the villain's voice like halfway through, is that a known issue?
I like to come back and rewatch this series once in a while. Really wish I could seem more, but that's how the cookie crumbles. Still, love how creative and fun this is and the theme is a total bop! Also do I see better miraculous ladybug??
Hmmm...the animation is fast and sharp, making action sequences a spectacular and riveting experience. Alas, the style doesn’t work so well in other, slower sequences as all the characters appear a tad jittery or hyperactive. Likewise inspired character design and wonderfully expressive body language and expressions are battled by the awkward dialogue and less-then-stellar voice acting. I understand this most likely has to do with translation, so I won’t knock it too hard. A real mixed bag for me, half of it is better than most of North America’s modern cartoons, while the other half is barely at your average RU-vid hobbyist’s attempts. Overall I see great potential in this, and hope it gets popular enough to warrant a more professional dub.
I love the fighting choreography but some of the animations are very choppy and some of the voice acting sounds unnatural. But overall it’s very good and I’m quite excited to watch more.
Well, for the voices, it is mostly done by ppl that just do it as a hobby and not professionals, and there was not much editing, which is why sometimes the mouth flaps do not match. As for the animation, I agree. I love how unique it is, but the problem is, while it works amazing during action scenes, it is a bit odd on slower, more mundane scenes. It needs a bit more in-betweens to make it smoother.
An Arabic superhero cartoon. This is lovely. I think my face lit up when I identified the intro and when I saw Emara serving tea- The tea pot made me think of one from my childhood. I will say the voice audio can be a bit strange but the level of effort you guys have put makes me excited to see what will happen next.
That was amazing! The animation is beautiful and stunning. Not to mention the facial expressions are super as well as the character design. I think this is probably one of the best animations I've seen in a long time. I was currently thinking that there's nothing in for me in that field but you've really sparked something in me. Amazing work!
What is this? It's so cute! I love the character designs, and the color-work, and the animation is... while I can tell it's kind of limited, but they do a great job with what they have (especially in the fight scenes). I'm guessing Emara's (missing or dead) father was an inventor who created all the stuff she fights with? Emara and Dabian (sp?) seem to have kind of a Ladybug and Chat Noir vibe going on. The first twist at the end was ok, but I really like the second one! This is definitely one I'm gonna follow; looking forward to more!
Can I get a HELL YEAH?!! An original Arabian superhero cartoon! I love finding new and original creative animation from people or an indie studio who have a passion for their work! Totally did NOT expect it to be an English voice cast either, which was doubly awesome! Voice acting: 9/10 Art: 10/10 Animation: 10/10 Intro: 10/10 Future Interest: 100/10!!!
Marvel has Dust (Sooraya) and Excalibur (Faiza) and sometimes Miss Marvel (Kamala), probably DC must have some too, but it's great that here she is the protagonist
Seriously. It's great to see somebody include characters that are diverse, and not have that be *all* the story/character is. Most times where that kind of an element is introduced into a media, the creators just use that in place of an actual personality and good plot - then they act all surprised when it fails miserably. Here because it's not even mentioned it's just normalized, because yeah - that IS normal for tens of millions of people.
This is so well done! I am loving all the wonderful expressions. Top class animation and an interesting story unfolding. It has been well worth the wait. The only point of criticism I could muster would be the ambient music mix sounded a little too quiet at times. I am excited for more! Congrats to everyone who worked on this, your hard work really shows!
This was a pretty good short. That said there are two of things I need to point out; First off, the audio quality on some of the voices sound off, might want to look into getting new mics when you are able to. Second, for whatever reason, the outro song is muted on the english dubbed video. Other than that, this is very impressive. Keep up the good work
Lots of fun shots and character designs. So excited to see this released, I'm sure a lot of sweat, tears, and blood went into it! The battle music ver of the theme song that kicked in around 6:20 was great too, it really suited the action. As some other people are saying though, some of the timing for the voice acting seems a little off (unless you animated first and then tried to get it to fit afterwards. I understand it's not easy!)
Great ! Just watched the Arabic version and I think that both of English and Arabic have their on advantages, but stil.. I liked both! Also, I really wanted to hear the ending song again.. it was a little frustrating not to hear it .. but thanks anyway! Can't wait for the next episode ;)
I'm crying. It's so good. The animation is amazing! The people who created this were a small team that did a very difficult job and made it look so professional. I can only imagine how much time and effort it took to finish it but I'm sure the end result was worth it!
Firstly! HOLY CRAP THAT ANIMATION! It was amazing! I can't wait to see more of this, it was beautiful. It was nice, snappy, and overall insanely crazy. The Music was great, and the sound effects where nice and satisfying. The designs are pretty unique as well, taking an Arabic setting and all that. My issues are in the passing of the writing, and the English Voice cast. They seem very stilted in their delivery for some of them. Plus the Mic quality for a few of the characters is all over the place (Like I'm one to talk...) I haven't viewed the other version of the episode, I'm assuming that ether A. These are all amateur VA's trying something new, which coo-dos to them, or B. The original Voice cast reprise their roles in English, which is pretty awesome, but also will explain the stilled dialog. this pilot is pretty good, but it felt pretty rushed, this would have done well if it had at LEAST 2 or 3 more minutes, but hey Animation of that caliber cost a heck of a lot, I can't wait to see more! And if each episode going to be 11 minutes long, I'd recommend figuring out the passing issue, or start doing two parters.
To be fair, all voices are a bit... amateurish (for example the 'No, not even close' line at 7:47 lacked energy compared to the animation of the character, and the lines themselves I feel are delivered too late but maybe that's just me.), but yeah the villain is the worst of all. The animation quality is top notch tho, and honestly I wasn't expecting that level of quality when clicking on this video (mainly when it comes to visual : blew my mind). (Also the pacing was REALLY fast and I don't know if I like that)
What??? I'm so flashed right now!!! This was sooo good and the animation is amaaazing! An arabic anime/cartoon?? I've never seen something like this before and I am so happy that I've found this! I really really wish that this will go on and that people will appreciate it!
Great work you guys.. the animation is top notch and the backgrounds are equally stunning. Though the voice over really needs a bit of work and I hoped there would be some kind of back story
This quality is amazing. The animation is fluid and precise, the characters express so much emotion, and the general design colors flow really well. On top of it, this takes place in a hardly-represented culture, which I appreciate the hell out of (even though im not part of the community, i still like to see people getting what they deserve: equal treatment). The only thing I would work on is the quality of the audio, though it sounds pretty good for a small studio. Keep up the fantastic work, and I hope to see more of you!!
It's a little bit unpolished in places, but it has an interesting concept, a charming art style, fun animation, most importantly, I can tell people put their heart into it! And unpolished show with heart is a thousand times better than a technically perfect show that was made solely for a job, that no one cared about. You can always polish as you go! This is superior to everything disney put out this year, because I can see the love that was put into this project, if a show doesn't have real emotion put into it, than you might enjoy it while it's on screen, but you'll forget it as soon as you're done, only a show that has a heart can touch the hearts of others
This was a pleasant surprise to see as part of my recommended feed. I was impressed by the smoothness of the animation and expressive nature of the characters. The fight choreography was also entertaining. For some constructive criticism, I feel like we should have gotten to know Emara better in this first episode begore introducing the male lead. It kind of makes it feel like Emara is plaing second fiddle in her own story. Sound mixing for the mob boss got a bit distorted when he was shouting, and the sequences lifted from the opening of Re: Cutie Honey in the show's opening took me aback. But I hope the show continues to improve from here!
Hoy 18 de mayo del 2019 Emara Emirates Hero cumple un año de que salio este capitulo... Hace un año inicio esta maravillosa serie! Por cierto, alguien más habla español?? Espero con ansias la segunda temporada!!
Love it! I can't believe how high the quality this is for such a small studio. Animation is so fluid and the art style is top notch. Can't wait to see what happens in the future.
I couldn't complete the arabic one the actors are so funny lol.. Anyways just finished the above video its amazing!! coming from a person who's not into animation but the ending hooked me up! I really wanna know whats written on the paper :p well done!! Can't wait for next Friday
I really loved this show and want to see it come back , we need awesome diverse animation like this not the garbage we're seeing right now full of agendas and nonsense , EMARA is the best !!!
