So you just got your Emax Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle. If you want to unlock your VTX from 50 mw to 200 mw this is how you do it. My instagram : / skycreative.fpv ~2021~
Apparently the betaflight value and osd can display 200 but it's still locked to 25. Mine shows 200 so I've never done this process and I'm told I'm probably still at 25mw. I'll do as the video shows and see if I notice a difference at my usual flying spot 👍
i try this on my thf2 but i just get the first 3 beep then the led blink some sec then nothing more . i have two thf2 and same on bouth, i had no problem with the tinyhawk2 whoop. anyone knows what the problem is
Hi to set in betaflight this drone or mobula 6 I need micro usb and then put in in computer? Thats all? I dont know how to set for example arming, engine on/off etc :( I have taranis xlite pro with xjt module and I want to fly this emax and mobula 6 if its possible...
I do everything in sync with the video, but when I go to VTX settings on my goggles (throttle stick middle left + control stick upper right corner), it's still showing default 25mW. And it won't save it to 200mW, just keeps resetting it back to default 25mW. Is that normal? What did I do wrong?
it stays at 25 Mw until the motors are armed. It quickly switches to your set wattage after takeoff. prevents cooked VTX chip. its like an automatic (almost) pit-mode
... i tried this with both my TH2 F quads. None of them seemed to work this way. However if i enter betaflight and set it to 200mW, it stays at that power. Current value gets updated to 200mW. OSD displays 200mW.. but some people tell me its NOT in fact 200 mW until i do this ritual.. I don't know what to think anymore.. has there maybe been an update to betaflight allowing it to ACTUALLY change this value?--Or maybe i need to grab my oils and incense, maybe even light a few candles before starting the ritual..
what version are you using for betaflight? and also did it actually seem to make a difference, because through watching I'v seen both comments, that it doesn't work unless you do that, and also that doing that way is just to do it without using betaflight, because id rather just go into betaflight and change it to 200 if it seems like it made a difference for you, guess can just try but know really nothing about it so nice to know your experience trying.
So mine said 200 before I even did this and I had bad signal before.. so I just did it still says 200 I’m gonna go let it rip and see if there’s a difference
@@user-gr4vx8xz1l I tried unlocking, all three colored LEDs light up. VTX stays at 25, but I can't really test it out in the house now, I will try in in the next few days mate!
It worked. Mine is on 200 after the first arming according to Betaflight OSD, and I can finally fly behind that tree without getting a break up. GIve it a try. The green led definitely lit up when I did the unlock right.
Did you turn on the radio before plugging the quad? Not only in tinyhawk but on every radio controlled device ever, turn on the radio first. Thats for safety, not only not to get low rssi
How can i do full length of a football field with my Emax Tinyhawk 2 great vtx signal yet i go a couple of meters with the freestyle and lose the vtx signal ?
@@kennethberkley5407 usually it stays at 25mW until first arm. You should check it in you goggles (if you checked to view the vtx channel in OSD in bf)
So glad I'm not a camera 😂 on a serious note, can't the vtx output be adjusted just using betaflight? Not disputing your knowledge, just asking. Very consise video may I say 👍
Hehe That camera got smacked hard. Well this is for those who just want to go fly and don’t know anything about Betaflight. Yes, in betaflight you can do anything :D
Just a reminder if you live in the US, to LEGALLY do this you must have your amateur ham radio license. In most other countries this is not allowed. Fly safe friends, and happy droning!
