embarking on an epic crusade in *THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN* 

You cut it short, but this movie has one of the best quotes of all time. "You Get treated like a dumb animal long enough, you start acting like one."

Continuing with the religious parallels of Narnia, I recently came across a post from one of the Facebook groups about the different types of discipleship shown through the characters of Lucy, Edmund, Susan, Peter, and Trumpkin. •Lucy is the first to see Aslan and does not doubt for a second, with a faith that is childlike and unwavering. She sees Aslan because she was seeking Him, expecting Him to appear. She represents John (the One Whom Aslan Loved), who is an eyewitness and deeply committed to God. •Edmund sees Aslan next and while not initially believing, he trusts Lucy enough to follow her on testimony. Meanwhile, Peter is open to Aslan, but lacks Lucy and Edmund's faith. Without seeing Him, Peter falls back on reason and goes a different path. Peter and to a lesser degree Edmund represent Thomas, who would not believe until he saw himself. •Susan is the most skeptical and the sibling most wanting to grow up (which some people find controversial). She knows the truth, but doesn't want to believe. She represents the Pharisees who suppressed what they knew to be true and who were aggressive, rude, and skeptical. •Trumpkin the Dwarf had bought into the lie that Aslan was a myth, a story told to give the Narnians hope. He is then the last to see Aslan and when he sees, his faith is made strong. He represents the Gentiles whose eyes are opened and respond in faith. It was an interesting post because previously, I had thought of Lucy as Mary Magdalene (who first to see the Risen Jesus), Peter as Simon-Peter (the greatest of the 12 who holds the keys of Heaven), Edmund as Judas or sinners in general, and Susan as those who lose the faith (again, some people don't like what becomes of Susan's character). It was also the first time someone looked at a character besides Aslan or the Pevensies.

Love your reactions! I feel the same way about Aslan. It’s always good to see him but he is definitely a cheat code for the Narnia plot lol

54:27 Aslan in this series is the Christ figure. He doesn't just solve all your problems, you need to grow in your faith. You need to walk on your own knowing that He is there to give what is needed at the right moment but no more than what's needed.

1:05 In all three of the movies the children are not dead. In the book series the 7th book, 'The Last Battle' the children die in our world the Narnia that they have been visiting gets destroyed but a new Narnia is made. The 7th book is parallel the the book of Revelation in the Bible.

Aslan in Narnia is like Jesus in our world. God is in control, but He has given us free will to do good or evil. God has an overall plan for our world. God is not mircomanaging us, but will let evil go only so far before acting, sometimes behind the seen (as getting the professor in a position to teach Caspian) or openly (as the trees fighting). Aslan would have showed up earlier, but Lucy doubted seeing Him and let the others lead her a different direction.
