Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! i mean, if they are going on a vacation you probably want to check what the waves are like. also if they are strong, you should definitely take swimming classes before you go on the vacation. of course, not everyone has the access to the the waves weeks before they happen. but still, the people at bondi look like they can barely swim at all 👀

And the ones that are swimmable are small so they have no lifeguards. I've only ever been to one beach big enough to have lifeguards and that was Blackpool. All other beaches had 0 infrastructure and barely anyone there. I actually got stuck in a rip off the north west coast and the only reason I didn't drown is a friend pulled me out. We were alone on the beach, not even our parents were there. Haven't been in the ocean since.

@@charliew7656 Bournemouth beach has 3 lifeguard corps and at a guess around 10 boats and jetskis, more than Bondi by a long way! Expect most large beaches to have similar levels of kit on site. In terms of infrastructure and equipment British lifeguards are way ahead of their Aussie counterparts. There are very few people to save in the UK though, most people don't go in past about waist height so I suspect its a very boring job :)

@@thomasp4902 We must live in and visit different parts of the country then. Cause the only lifeguard boat station I've seen wasn't even on a beach and the only lifeguard tower I've ever seen was in Blackpool. Every other beach I've been to has no infrastructure at all. Like even the path to it is only a path because people walk that way and the grass gets stamped down. They're usually surrounded by cliffs and caves. Most of them rocky, not sandy. I mean I still swim in them cause I was born in this country dammit and I don't feel the cold. But not alone. I guess you visit tourist areas maybe? And my family just find the most remote spot possible and are like: Yup. Scenic caravan on a cliff on an island in the middle of nowhere. Let's go. Oh, there happens to be a rocky bay that is barely accessable down a path carved out of a rock face and is not marked on any map whatsoever? Guess you better bring your swimsuits kids!
