This was a comforting video to watch for some reason. But one thing kept me laughing; if any of you have ever seen the British TV show, Are You Being Served, I kept expecting him to say, "Don't worry, they'll ride up with wear." Lol!!!! Good video. 😄
Insightful video that shows the benefits of using a master tailor and bespoke suit-making as opposed to using online made-to-measure tailoring. This guy takes into consideration aspects such as posture, the slope of the person's shoulders etc, whereas online MTM only relies on a few key measurements. I like the tailor's disposition, too. Not at all pushy.
Make sure it fits properly ideally you want half an inch to an inch of space between you and the jacket, that way you know it fits properly. Also he does both buttons so that there is nothing loose when wearing it so the measurments are more accurate. Just means throughout the different fittings there is less to change.
Yeah. He was trying to help the video to be informative. Little did he know that he was on the brink of a masterpiece for a relaxing type of video, but he spoke WAY too much. Just watching the man perfect his craft was all we really wanted as viewers.
MTM are good if you like a "custom" suit but dont have the budget, though i say "custom" in a very general sense compared to bespoke. Hopefully il be able to get a bespoke suit someday, from Savile Row. But thats just a dream for now lol
They're probably just old spirit levels. If not, then they'll probably have angle measurements on them like a protractor. The one used on the back does look pretty unique so it might be specific to tailoring or even just an old homemade tool but the one used on the shoulders looked like just an old generic spirit level
