Eminem went overboard on this song, not only did he slaughter him in the third verse, he also showed he can sing better than Everlast lol burying him even outside of rapping. Super overkill hahah
Dude where are your balls cause u clearly have no idea what u are talking about 🤣 Eminem is the king 👑 that’s what he gotta do show people he’s the best
@OnlyHonesty I hope you don't mean his "Whitey's Revenge" diss. I'll give credit that the lyrics were straight. But his flow never changed the entire song and was lame as fuck. Not to mention he rhymed "mic down" with "beat down" go Jump Around with your washed up "Muslim" white boy who nobody remembers. People know him for house of pain and his gay ass bluegrass/rap album. Bum 😂😴
***** I agree and disagree. La Coka Nostra is sick and Em is still dope. If you listen to MMLP2 some lyrics in that are just insane. One rhyme throughout the whole song of Legacy, plus Evil Twin are written in pure genius, I like them both.
kevin lif. Everlast was around way before Eminem anyway so saying who's still selling is irrelavent. Not only that Eminem is doing songs with fucking pop artists, like what the fuck? He used to diss those people now he's doing music with them. He isn't rap anymore. He's pop now for sure.
If this song wasn't a diss and was about nostalgia, it would've been #1 single for weeks...smh, slim so talented, when people diss him, it brings out the best in him
I love when people diss him cuz you know he's going to back with something a million times better that kills, resurrects, and kills again who ever dissed him
i remember early 2000's hip-hop diss tracks...i and all my friends also remember anxiously waiting for eminems responses to people...jesus, he murdered everyone that stepped to him
Who did he ever go after? Going after rappers whose career have been over 4 years or Elton John or Tina Turner isn't too difficult. Maybe if he went after like silkk the shocker back in the day you could give him credit. However going after Eric Clapton just makes him Petty.
Lets talk about his beefs, cool? He and Cage took a couple shots back and forth, nothing real serious...of course Cage had the truth on his side. He beefed with Everlast and made a diss that contained 17 bars referring to a heart attack, 9 from Em alone...real creative. He also had to use the beat to Hit'em Up to makes himself feel and seem important. Then he dissed Evidence, even though he wasnt even on the song, Ear Drums Pop. Evidence hit him with Searching for Bobby Fisher, to no response. K-Rino, Last Emperor, and Pacewon also dissed him to no response. Diabolic took multiple unanswered shots at him. He beefed with Canibus, and put out on of the corniest disses in hip hop history, Canibitch. And again, had to incorporate a classic hip hop song to make his track feel "big time". Bis had the much harder diss, sorry Stans. He beefed with Limp Bizkit...as if Fred Durst was a legit emcee 😅 And cant forget Mariah Carey, he dissed her mad good, but wouldnt face off with Nick Cannon 😅. He murked C level rapper, and career music maker for 13yr old girls, Ja Rule...congratulations. He dissed magazine editor/owner in Benzino, as if that was impressive. Cant forget the two clowns he dissed, cause theyre not absolute trash 😅 He also dissed other celebrities and popstars, that had no chance of responding. He shit all over mumble rappers (which i appreciate), as if they had a chance. Then we get to MGK, another popstar for 13 yr old girls. What a list, do you see a pattern here? How about the fact that a guy who made a career out of mocking others, shut down Weird Al on his video for Couch Potato (Lose Yourself spoof)...claiming, it would damage his persona, oh the irony 😅😅😅.
And now Eminem is 45 and who's coming for him? Noone. Because he made himself a name and he's still killing it. Not in the same way as when he was young, but he's still on the throne with nobody even thinking about taking their shot.
Well now we got Mgk trying to take shots because he is salty that Eminem kicked him off his radio station because he made a sexual comment about his 16 year old daughter then a few years later Kelly trys to use a sublimal diss tourds Eminem in a feature with tech 9 then Eminem goes ham on his ass on kamikaze then mgk comes with a diss song saying he's rich and successful and is old and and makes some spineless punch lines and saying he's geeky about rap and beats around the bush about the inappropriate tweat about haile who was a minor Eminem is yet to respond as of today but when Eminem responds its not gonna be pretty
Um. No.. I'm an Em fan, but he sings average at best. The production helps out a bunch. Even Eminem says he can't sing, check out Hailie's Song on The Eminem Show.
@@draxxthemsclounts2478 bro Hailie’s Song alone proves that Eminem himself can sing, stop doubting the man🤣, and Eminem also says that he isn’t the King of Hip Hop when all know that he is. and if you disagree at all, then you clearly have no knowledge on rap, hip hop, or music whatsoever.
@@oka623 ??? You do not have to dickride this hard. They never said he was a bad singer or that he couldn't sing at all, they just said he's an average singer at best, there's nothing wrong with it. He's not really a "singer" and that's okay
@STORCK Did you heard him singing on Space bound, Stronger than I was, Twisted, Beautiful pain, Thats all she wrote?? He can sing wonderful if he want to
A lot of people don't get the last line. He says "And maybe that'll help me know what it's like, to sing the blues" "What It's Like" is Everlast's most famous single and it's from the album "Whitey Ford Sings The Blues". Very clever vintage Eminem on that line.
I like this one cause it's mocking everlasts musical style. Plus the lyrics are creative and good. Whitey's revenge was a joke. Then em and d12 blew him outta the park with quitter.
Im a em fan and i only llm like that one hit song by everlast. Em may have won the beef, but whitey revenge was great and to the point. Everything everlast said was true. Em was just more mean in his vereses lol
Anyone else on a Eminem diss binge to celebrate the newest diss to enter the archive of his many disses? R.I.P MGK, and thank you for sacrificing your career for this to happen
Man... I've been listening to this man rap for so long, I swear it felt like a journey in these days. Em is a fckn road warrior lol drug his feet through the mud to get where he did... then Proof died 🙏🏾 knocked the fire right out of my boy. Damn man. To me (and clearly I'm bias) Eminem with his Passion and anger that resonated w me so well in my younger days, is what made eminem God tier. Ppl are asking what artist have em really bodied and I'm in my head like damn y'all just really don't know.... anyway, long live this man. When eminem finally drops the Mic it feel the same as Kobe retiring from the NBA.
Dude, imagine starting a rap beef and have your opponent steal your entire style and do it better than you could ever. Damn Slim, you ain't gotta do this bitch like that.
In his defense Biterphobia was released in 1995 just a year before Infinite so maybe he was talking about the Infinite era it's either that or he is just trying to fit in
I come back to this song every once and awhile, one of my fav examples of a retaliation track, "quitter" is a good follow-up but this one resonates with me most. I like his choice of tone where he mirrored bizkit's late style and did a fusion with his own overkill persona. The result was something fresh and subjectively better than bizkit's own style. It really adds to the verses where he disses him for being old and not as skilled as marshal.
He honestly hasn't, lol, it's effects, no hating cuz im a massive fan but I disagree. I have heard a lot worse but he isn't a singer, maybe with practice if he wanted to be.
I heard Ronnie in mgk song, and just face palmed and thought of this feud. I think he opened pandoras box, mgk. Then he mentions Hailey then Kim. Poking a beast if you ask me. Can't wait.
Yeah.... It was a lit song though, at least I thought so.... But God bi*ch slapped the Devil to hell ..... he should've used a better analogy calling himself the "rap devil"
@@devinhughes7803 I think he was just saying "I'm the opposite of you" while saying "im 10× the bad muthafucka that you are" all in 2 words, he wasn't considering the biblical implications
I get chills listening to this...ems still the best word smith in the game STILL TODAY.....but around this time his music literally could change ur mood
I know it's odd but I find this song relaxing. Marshall sings very well. Wish he believed that. He's a master lyricist and a master singer quite the resume. I see I'm not the only one who feels this is truly relaxing. Glad I found it through allowing a youtube playlist of "good guy" to play.
no one could out diss Eminem. This is a great song and a great diss track. This is why he is the biggest selling rapper of all time with no close competition.
@@lyricsanonymous9036 Eminem* Rakim isn’t shit. He’s overrated as hell. Only old ass 60 year olds like you who are STUCK IN THE PAST consider him a rap god. Idk how you even said that shit seriously, considering nobody even knows who Rakim is these days. The only Rakim anybody knows these days is ASAP Rocky. Shut your old ass up.
@waido_ Rakim has influenced every MC of the last 35 years, and every MC for the foreseeable future. Everyone uses the writing techniques he introduced to Hip Hop, he literally created "flow" 🙄 Your ignorance doesn't negate that, kid. Asap Rocky? Nah, I listen to Aesop Rock...but you don't know nothing about Hip Hop, so...
I don’t think when he made this song that he expected it to have this much longevity. The beat aged superfluously and with grace. The cymbals chanting onward to the solid boom bap drums and swirling guitars really entrance and encase his flow beautifully.
Nah this dis is rooted back when Em first came on scene with national exposure. Until Em, Everlast formally the head of House of Pain, was the only white rap artist to make a hit that was not garbage. And Jump Around was a hit, giving white people a white artist to back, and the Irish being the only race to still live in the projects and fude with blacks in the projects of South Boston it sold. And Everlast was a good artist. His old shit aint bad. Em even acknowledges it. But Everlast was def gonna hate being out the spot light acting like he was a wise real artist and Em was a gimic. Shit at first a lot of people would say oh he ain't.gonna have nothing to rap about now, after every album. So Em ran into Everlast somewhere and was actually being respectful, saying what's up, but Em don't kiss ass, so his what's up was just that. And Em is no fool, he said he saw the way Everlast kind of blew him off like Em should not be acting confident or anything. So Em knew what he was really thinking. And Em is smart, he def wasn't gonna let that dude blow his shot so he murdered him real quick, and moved on. No longer would we hear from House Of Pain. He asked for everything he got.
Everlast was the first respected white rapper, Eminem didnt murder him, and hip hop heads definitely heard Everlast post Em beef. You never heard of La Coka Nostra?
He wrote two more songs like this one, LOL. Quitter and that 2pac homage Hit 'Em Up. Ford really got under his skin. This first song explains why, I think.
@Dvrk Night Everlast took a shot at Emimen. So in return, Em dropped this wack ass song, I Remember. Then Everlast dropped Whiteys Revenge, which was a smooth, laid back track...where he was cool, calm, and collected. Its a bad ass, factual song. Then Eminem got 5 other dudes, and jumped up and down (no pun intened), screaming and yelling, throwing a tantrum. The song contained 19 references to a heart attack, 9 from Em alone (real creative). Despite growing up with black people, Em doesnt know the difference between Country and Blues. And doesnt seem to appreciate a musician expanding their artistic reach. He also stated that Everlasts DJ left him for Limp Bizkit...which isnt true. Ev disbanded House of Pain, so DJ Lethal opted to start working with an up & coming band that they had been promoting on tour... you know, instead of being unemployed. So as you can see, there was no reason to respond to "Quitter", Everlast already won. And for people that think his career ended after this beef, he went on to win a Grammy later that year. He also started the supergroup, La Coka Nostra... and still sold out tours in 2019. On top of that, Eminem took a shot at Evidence from Dilated Peoples during this beef. Then when Evidence responded with "Serch 4 Bobby Fischer", Em had Proof squash the beef. What a clown 😂😂😂
@Dvrk Night Already explained how Everlast won. I used logic, reason, and facts to make valid points...you gave an opinion with none of that. Dilated Peoples is a group, not a person. Eminem shot first, then squashed the beef with Evidence...after no response, that's an L. Also, Evidence just had one of the best hip hop albums of 2018...While Em made Kamikaze 😂 Yes, it is impressive he won an Oscar...but Eminem is not the only rapper to do so...not sure why you brought that up 😕 The fact that your white rapper list is made up of those names, shows how little you know about hip hop
This brings back so many great memories back in my pre-teen years I discovered this song when I was desperately trying to find MMLP2 I was (13) when my best friend and I discovered this song it goes way back and re-living them gives me comfort and reminiscing the times we used to be inseparable now I’m 23, looked for this song for so long, I have finally found it, it makes me want to go to my old Best friend’s house and just chill with him listening to this. How time flies so fast!
Shao Kahn so it’s official and it only took three years maybe if you rub those two brain cells together they will make a third one the censored word was muslim
Bro this is amazing. I would love a remastered version of this with some of the newer advancements in autotune. Hearing eminem sing is a little weird but I like it. (and now you dont even have to be good at singing for people to write songs for you to sing).
