ive always wanted to see a movie/ova/series or whatever thats about shirou be it the one who became EMIYA or UBW shirou after the grail war or at least the story of how EMIYA came to be fleshed out outside of the VN exposition. Great video. the OG servant crew are always good to see.
Honestly, if you think about it, EMIYA is an amazing archer. His Reality Marble allows him to replicate ANY weapon he sees, including all the skills of that weapon's users. And he has some of the most powerful weapons in existence in his arsenal due to him being a Counter Guardian, having been sent through time to solve crisis after crisis. This means he has access to the skills of some of the most renown sword users of all time. Not to mention that he was personally trained by the King of Knights herself. AND he also has both the Origin and Element of "Sword", due to having a Last Phantasm that is connected to THE MOST famous sword of all inside him. He is literally a sword in human form. It's even in his chant for UBW, the literal manifestation of his soul made real. And yet despite all of this, every time he is summoned, it isn't as any other class but an Archer. No contest. No other choice. Always an Archer. His affinity and skill with the bow is so great, it outweighs a WORLD filled with the swords of legendary sword-masters. It even outweighs his Origin and Element; his very essence is cast aside for his knowledge with the bow - arguably the one true skill he earned on his own. Heck, the only reason he isn't a Grand Archer isn't because of his accuracy - we all know he never misses - but is likely due to his inability to hit certain targets in the world simply because they are too far away. There is a reason Orion is as buffed as he is; he NEEDS to be that strong to fire arrows around the globe. EMIYA is disadvantaged by the simple virtue of being born in the wrong era, as modern humans in the Nasuverse are weaker than ancient humans (It's why everyone thought no more Heroic Spirits could be made in the modern age). Seriously, this dude is TERRIFYING.
EMIYA's biggest advantage isn't his reality marbles, his skills or his inherent abilities. As he said, as a Servant, he's pretty low-rung, even at best, especially against those who spent their lifetime mastering their respective martial abilities such as Cu Chullain, Sasaki Kojiro, Heracles. How does EMIYA win, though? By playing dirty. EMIYA does not fight fair in the least. In fact, I'm surprised that he didn't project Caladbolg against Cu just to have him submit and kill himself. He is the most pragmatic hero among all those present. The one who views the war as a war, and the deception and the treachery he must employ as a must.
I'm pretty sure that Emiya also stayed with Illya, until she passed, for about a year? Which is why he never hurts her during any route. OR, so I've heard.
I love Emiya archer as a character, mostly because of the design and abilities, but also because of the very nature of his character from a naive hero complex to the jaded synic he becomes.

Alright, hear me out. In my interpretation of the"original" timeline, Rin doesn't summon anyone at all, since in that timeline, the pendant wasn't linked to any heroic spirit yet. So since she was unable to summon a servant, she would have no choice but to report to Kirei who would grant her Gilgamesh as a servant in order to ensure his plan of birthing Angra Mainyu would come to fruition. But Rin being Rin, wouldn't trust Gilgamesh. Once the inevitable final battle occurs, Shirou uses Rin's pendant as a power source to produce something similar to Unlimited Blade Works but not fully formed yet in order to defeat Gilgamesh. That's why Shirou kept Rin's pendant for as long as he did. It serves as a reminder of the first "miracle" he ever performed. But of course, as it has been stated, he doesn't manage to convince Saber to change her mind about changing her past. He lives with Illya for a year or two before she dies (I honestly forgot where I first heard this. I'll have to check the wiki again), then follows Rin to the Clock Tower to become a freelancer.
The Throne of Hero is outside of the time so she can still summon Archer. And if it is close to Fate route timeline then Archer Servant self probably can not do anything similar to UBW before Servant Archer died. Think of the timeline as Archer Servant is legit his future self travel back in time unlike the canon route that are alter timeline.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. He is always summoned by Rin and always was. He HAS to be to have the pendent and know its his catalyst. He has to fight lancer to attract Shiro so Shiro can be killed and get the pendent. That is also why he comes to the realization that he can't break the cycle. If he breaks the cycle, he wouldn't then be summoned to break the cycle, get it? That's the paradox. Like the grandfather paradox. He can't go back in time to kill himself so that he won't be created because if he does than he won't be around later to go back and kill himself. Auto restart the whole thing all over again. No beginning, no end.
It is pretty weird because who is the Archer that got summoned by Rin in Archer's timeline before he become Archer in the first place considering the fact that Archer got the pendant after Rin saved his life. The whole timeline thing is just weird. So yeah, I want a movie or series to explain the original timeline of Archer's in UBW. How we become heroic spirit in the first place.
@@trapenoone6904 Technically could be an Emiya again. Alaya exists outside of time, most of the more powerful gods do. Heroes can appear when they don't even exist yet. But it can be hard mana wise. But I'd guess since Rin is linked to Archer... she'd still summon him. But it could funny enough, be the version already beaten by Shirou Emiya in the UBW route. So unwilling to change himself since it does nothing to stop it, he guarantees that the next version of him also becomes Archer. Shirou Emiya could have been brought to fix a problem in the past, 1000 years before he was born due to how time works for Alaya. Only issue is, if you aren't a god and try to do something like that you can disappear and never come back. You need something to confirm your existence while travelling through timeless voids. Gods do that easily with their multifaceted minds. Humans usually need a supercomputer.
@@trapenoone6904 i say she didn't summon anything and kotomine gave her gil, who at the end turned on them and Archer Shirou had to stop him, thus learning that UBW counters Gate of Babylon.
I read several times that Nasu said that Rin summons EMIYA in all Worlds were she’s participating in the 5th HGW, only in the world where EMIYA is originally from that’s not the case. But he didn’t say who she summoned instead. Also I never read this interview/statement of Nasu myself, so it could be just a fake rumor.
Tsiah my man, you are on fire with these vids. One thing about EMIYA is that if he doesn't remember being summoned as a servant he could be in a constant loop of being summoned to holy grail wars that meet the parameters that he is looking for. (one where he could kill or change the shirou of that timeline) To try to make my point clearer: 1) Servant EMIYA get's summoned, at the end of the UBW the saint graph disappears and CG shiero keeps on waiting for his chance to kill old shirou. A loop of repeating the same cycle of getting summoned to alternate fith holy grail wars for all eternity. 2) CG EMIYA get summoned and since CGs do keep their memories, the end of UBW sticks and EMIYA finds some form of peace for at least a few thousand years. I know that some saint graphs do send some kind of info like Quetz and Avicebron. But They seem to be vague in the case of most servant, so the infromation might not give the original in the thorne enough info to break the cycle. Or in the case of Quetz it has to be something soo big that it really resonates with the HS so much the the Spirit origin in the throne is changed. In conclusion, If its just a saint graph let's hope that the experience is big enough to change the OG, and if he is a Weakened CG there's nothing to worry about.
@@rainingviolet4874 Honestly it's just something that happens when typing and not paying much attention. For Avicebron I paid extra attention just because i wasn't used to typing it out. It's also something that happends when I'm doing something that is mundane I kind of put my brain on autopilot.
An interesting idea, though as servant/hero Emiya isn't directly based on any Shirou that lived, rather on his legend, interpreted by others and doesn't have any posthumous memories, being recreated every time he's summoned, would that Emiya have any reason to dislike Fate Shirou, or his dream? Isn't he the literal embodiment of that dream?
@@TheArcSet It depends on how you think counter guardians work. CGs are different from your standard servants. From one discription of CGs they're people that couldn't be heroes on their own and thus needed the aid of the Counter force. The difference to me is that while heroes like artoria have a legend that is told through time. EMIYA isn't exactly rememberd past his time.He would be a famous or infamous person in his time but it won't become a legend like a normal HS. Another distinction that seems to apply to CGs is that because their contract with the CG they are actually the person themselves, EMIYA seems to carry the memories of being a counter guardian with him and he does seem to grow from them. Like how He had copies of famous weapons form every era of history and has seen some of them used (gungnir). This is why i make the distinction between a weakend CG and a saint graph. (SG seem to be lesser copies of a heroic spirit) A third point is that it does seem to be that EMIYA does have memories of a life as a Shirou that didn't save Saber's hart ergo a specifice life that he did live. We could see the different routes as a kind of unfolding of this theory, if we see every route as a different parallel word that EMIYA gets summoned to, in one he get wreck by Heracles, In another he learns how to move on, and in another he loses an arm AND gets wrecked. none of those Shirous his the original EMIYA but he stills tries to get them, at least he plans to at the start.
The saddest thing is even after that moment of clarity and hope Emiya will once again go through eons of pain again and again and again, it doesn’t matter who strong willed he is, eventually he’ll break, eventually he’ll give up again, eventually the boy who wanted to be a hero of justice is gonna die inside once again
The reason why emiya becomes Archer is that he doesn't have a girlfriend. Unlike Saber/Fate route, he has and he's ready to spend an eternity to pursue her, eventually become a heroic spirit and reach to Avalon
Now a days, I really wished that we got a game or story primarily focusing around EMIYA, like maybe a story revolving around his exploits as a hero, or play a game where he works for the Counter Force
Thing is, if Rin summons Emiya, then once Emiya dies, it goes into Illya, which means she would know that he is Shirou. In Fate Route, Illya is alive and ends up living with Shirou, so I doubt she would allow for Shirou go to down Emiya's path. All this means is that either Illya also died on Emiya's original world, or Rin summoned a different servant.
Isn't it funny how heroic spirits who barely fought are sometimes stronger than emiya just because of their legend? Emiya has gone through thousands of battles for eons and he gets outdone by some other heroic spirits just because the buff they get for having a strong legend associated with them Kind of unfair.
If you really think about emiya becoming a counter guardian was the perfect fate for him he hated himself for it but he will be summoned and meet himself and always fight with himself to teach himself but never explaining his fate to the past self but always trying to do what’s right is something he can never escape

@@erenkruger5760 I think whenever he's summoned by Alaya, he keeps his memories. But when summoned as a servant, those memories of the Grail War are temporary.
He does keep his memories, but due to his circumstances, eventually it'll always "return to zero" essentially. The only two constants to always stick with him is summoning Saber, and iirc Kiritsugu saving him.

Man EMIYA suffer fate worse than death for eternity, regret his decision to make the contract with Counter Force. He hate himself so much that he want to eliminate his past self so that he will never exist in the first place.
Wait, do people not realize that the whole "I don't remember who I am" thing is a lie from the beginning? And that he is in a unbreakable self fulfilling/grandfather paradox? Here's the thing. Rin always has and always will summon archer. There wasn't ever a timeline where she didn't. You don't need a starting point. The end is the beginning and the beginning the end. He always gets summoned, always fights lancer, attracts Shiro and shiro dies and gets the pendent. Time loop complete. He can't prevent Shiro's death there OR kill him after because if he did then he wouldn't have the pendent to be summoned later and everything would just start over again. The only way the time loop could ever be broken is by a third party outside force that could move along time lines. And Gaia may be the only one to ever do that but as to now has no reason to. Personally, if I were Heroic Spirit Emiya I'd screw all the people killing to save people and start tearing open huge ass holes in the earth with all my broken phantasms. That may trigger Gaia to break his creation time loop.
Out of all the OG servants he is the only one to not have a superior or different version of himself that do not came from a different timeline. And with all the new legendless servants in fgo and the stuff add in the remake of Tsukihime, he has a lot rooms to grow. He has average parameters since he's legendless however now all the new legendless servants have great parameters. As a counter-guardian Emiya goes in worlds where the human order is weaker (Tsukihime), he most likely fought against dead apostle ancestors more times than he can counts. With the remake of Tsukihime the ancestors have acces to their idea blood, which stay after their death and can be use as magical reactors or to use magecraft. It's goes well with him since he is someone that use and modifie other abilities for himself. It's also pretty fiting since from the little we know of his past, he seems to have work alongside the Church and was given his red overcoat, which is a first rate conceptual weapon, by ciel. Also in extra when you are against arcueid he shown a lot of knowledge about vampires. As for his skills, his magic resistance and independant action should be on the same level as okita alter for the same reasons as her. Just like morgan regardless of his class he always fight with his magecraft. And as a reality marble user it's only natural for him to have a territory creation skill. Karmic vision is born from shirou hawkeyes and Muramasa will to craft a weapon capable of severing fate/karma, Emiya is someone that fight against his destiny and try to cut shirou down so that he can be free from his fate as a Guardian.

I have 2 questions about emiya 1. Could emiya copies technique other servants? 2. What if emiya has (mana : A+)? Does it mean he could created perfectly same weapon that other servants used?
1. If the other servant wields a weapon then yeah, but they might be weaker versions. 2. Mana doesn't matter when projecting a weapon, it will always be one rank down, unless it's a divine construct in which case it will be even lower if he survives the process. If he wants to create a perfect copy he needs a connection the original wielder.
Emiya can copy the physical abilities and techniques of the wielder of the weapon he project. The mana level dosen't matter, the projection will always be one rand down. As for the divine constructs, he can project them just like any other weapons as long as there made from materials find on earth, which is only a few of them. The rank down hardly matters in most cases since he has gil weapons and in the nasuverse there is a principe where the children cannot defeat the parents. So if he fight against Fergus and use gil's caladbolg, even tho It's weaker it will still win. Some weapons are so powerfull that the rand down doesn't matter : Excalibur is an A++ np so = 150 value while Excalibur projection is a B++ np so = 120 value. It's still one of the most powerfull np.

Yknow......this hits a lot harder and makes me a lot saltier when you realize how Archer Emiya ends up after this via his alter form in FGO really makes you wish his grand scheme of erasing himself from existence magically worked out (even though it wouldn't even if he had killed Shirou sadly)
Saving 100 people doesn't sound worth the drama or trauma honestly. I mean, saving a thousand or ten thousand or a million and I'd consider it. I know, I know, I sound like a monster but 100 people dying seems like a lackluster catalyst for signing your immortal soul over to the Earth to in turn murder over and over again. And, yeah, I know he didn't realize the extent of the commitment but I can definitely see how he got so angsty and loco by the time we first meet him.

I assume you’re talking about the gem with which Rin saved Shirou’s life. Simple Answer: Yes. Servants are a partial copy of a Heroic Spirit. The actual Heroic Spirit “main body” isn’t and cannot be summoned by anything except the World itself. Usually with the Servants’ death, the soul (information) returns to the Heroic Spirit, allowing the “main body” can read that information like a book. EMIYA hoped to erase himself from the Throne of Heroes by the paradox of killing his younger self. Even that wasn’t certain to work. The only Heroic Spirit that managed it was King Solomon by his final Noble Phantasm. Technical Answer: Maybe. In theory it might be technically possible but actually near-impossible to summon Heroic Spirits from a potential future or parallel world. Counter Guardian EMIYA is a Heroic Spirit from a potential future of Shirou. But gradually he’ll become a parallel world version. Servants of parallel worlds (even an example like Ruler Amakusa from Fate/Apocrypha) are incredibly difficult if not impossible to summon outside of super exceptional circumstances like that of Fate/Grand Order. Servants of the future are also probably difficult to summon too. Different Servants can have different summoning costs/difficulties. The only example is Diarmuid who can be summoned as Saber or Lancer. It is much more difficult to summon Saber Diarmuid, because as a Saber his aspect as a mythological hero with gods’ Noble Phantasms has been emphasized. Even if EMIYA can be summoned again, there’s also the question of who’d want to summon him. He has no land and fame bonuses, and is average or below-average in Heroic Spirit rank. Archer EMIYA does have first-rate combat ability due his fighting style and Unlimited Blade Works, but there generally are better Servants to summon.

Who are the servants in the Archer Emiya timeline and how strong was he during his war? Look at Oath Under Snow Emiya who is much stronger then the first three routes. Is there a timeline where he is son of Kiritsugu and Irisviel?
Still the same Archer but because his route is close to the Fate route, Archer of that timeline should not do anything similar to UBW to his legit younger self (not a different version of his younger self in the 3 route).
OUS Shirou was being secretly powered by his little sister, the Holy Grail. Presumably, he can’t perform feats like copying new Divine Constructs while simultaneously materializing his Reality Marble, or firing all blades in his Reality Marble, without his sister’s help. Not even Archer EMIYA seems to be capable of those kinds of things. Without the Archer EMIYA class card, he probably is about as strong as post-UBW route Shirou, assuming OUS Shirou had his Origin and Element changed to “sword” due to using the class card. This is a timeline where he wouldn’t have Avalon.
