Emmys 2023: Drama Series Predictions - For Your Consideration 

I don't think anything is gonna beat Succession

Sarah Snook is ABSOLUTELY getting nominated and winning for succession. She blew me away this season and was so critical to that show landing its final season

Man, I am a diehard Saul fan and I just binged through the entirety of Succession these last couple months and I am SO conflicted. I really want Saul to win SOMETHING but the last season of Succession is pretty undeniable. And I think choosing Kieran Culkin for winning Lead Actor is not a bad call at all. Kieran had the most Emmy-worthy scenes that viewers will remember. Jeremy Strong and Brian Cox, as good as they are, didn't get as many unforgettable scenes like Kieran did.

My order: (1) Succession, (2) The White Lotus, (3) Better Call Saul, (4) House of Dragon, (5) The Last of Us, (6) Andor, (7) The Crown, (8) Yellowjackets. I have your top 8, but in different order. It is really crazy that Brian Cox would go lead, despite being in only 5 episodes. 2 of them with a brief appearance.

I know nothing lasts forever, but I really REALLY hope you guys never stop making this show. Brings me so much joy.😊

I'm truly puzzled how House of the Dragon is so far down the list on possible nominations. It's hardly mentioned. When this was playing, it seemed to be universally lauded for it's writing and acting. As the successor to Game of Thrones, how is this show not in the conversation?

I loved Melanie Lynskey but somehow I find that this season she might’ve been slightly overshadowed by the actress that plays the younger version Shauna… I know that The Drama Actor is going to go to one of the CEOBros and I’m going with the #1 Boy.. it was sealed for me in that last episode pleading “I am the Eldest Boy!”

I know Ford doesn't stand a chance in hell of a nom as 50 years or so of being ignored by awards thingys shows but as he is almost 81 years old I kinda wish he had a shot....Well at least they like Helen so fingers crossed for her!

If Jeremy Strong submits "With Open Eyes" (the finale), he wins. If Kieran Culkin submits "Church and State" (the penultimate episode), he wins. If Sarah Snook submits "Connor's Wedding" (the pivotal 3rd episode), she wins. The one surefire lock among "Succession's" actors is Matthew McFadyen for supporting actor, who will win again, regardless of what he submits (we suspect "Tailgate Party," which would be a great 2nd choice for Ms. Snook as well). As always, you three are so darned entertaining.

I liked not loved the first season of Yellowjackets. I just couldn’t get into the second season. BUT, I just don’t see where anything could beat Succession. I did like The Last of Us but I typically don’t care for apocalyptic stories. It won me over with the stand alone episode. The second season of The White Lotus didn’t seem to grab me like the first. Maybe, it’s just me but it wasn’t as good and perhaps it should have been a one and done series. Kieran Culkin blew me away in the funeral performance.

Andor is best stuff from Star Wars after Empire that good is season 1 of Andor

I don’t think very many people saw Andor that aren’t already Star Wars fans. It’s not marketed towards a new audience

I have a feeling House of Dragon is going to get ignored over other HBO shows but I feel like Andor is a lock for a nomination. Personally not my favorite Star Wars but the Emmys have actually been quite open to Star Wars series. The Mandalorian has been nominated twice for Outstanding Drama. Star Wars is not ignored by Emmy voters at all. And do not be surprised if The Mandalorian is nominated as well (like Jeff said).

I find it shocking that Better Call Saul has basically won nothing despite some saying that it's at least as good as Breaking Bad or even better.

House of the Dragon is def getting in. The Academy loves GOT. They gave outstanding drama series to their horrible last season.

Melanie will not win. She was good in the show but not as good as Sarah in Season 1 itself. The teenage Yellowjackets actresses act better. And with the mixed review that Season 2 seems to have received and with Sarah shattering every barrier in the final season, Sarah will win.

Better Call Saul if there is any justice in this world! A perfect series with NO Emmies to show...
