Perri's worked all over the interwebs covering movies and television at sites including Movies.com, Screenrant.com and ComingSoon.net before settling down at Collider.com and Collider Video. She also has a Film Producing MFA from Columbia University. Her very first feature film, Child Eater, is currently available on DVD and VOD!
Hey! Random question but how much nudity was in the movie? I’m taking my date to it, hopefully there’s nothing too crazy. Hopefully not a lot of full frontal. lol.
You're voice in infinity pool was Horrible!!! Omg I can't stand this girl after watching her yell Jaaaames 50 times!! I couldn't even finish the movie which was horrible but you ruined it.
i’ve seen people compare the movie to lots of other movies, and while I haven’t sinister, i just saw a video about it so i made that connection but i haven’t heard anyone else!
The order of movie release was X and then Pearl and now Maxxxine. Watching X though will bring you the introduction of Maxxxine. This new movie is a continuation of her story.
You definitely want to see X before watching this. Pearl is optional. I just came back from the theater. there aren't any major references to Pearl in it but there are many flashbacks to X.
Confession time: I've never actually watched the Quiet Place films. I guess I'll start with this one. I dunno. The premise never grabbed me and I usually love horror gimmicks. In other news though, the First Omen was awesome.
Yeah A Quiet Place Day One as far as The Camera Work Set design and location in Manhattan during an Alien Invasion felt very essentric, chaotic and how they got the look of them as they're jumping on cars and you saw close up once they're hearing noises from the rest of the humans. Was pretty sick also the fact that they're Samira and Eric we're able to discover their was a Hive of these creatures and how they lay their eggs in order for more of them to grow is intriguing also. Couple of things we still don't know who these aliens creatures are what they're after & the names. Couple of decisions at the end felt anti climatic overall still a solid horror movie. Nowhere near the first two installments.
Fantastic review as always Perri cannot wait to see MaXXXine one of the most anticipated movies so far. Ti West one of the more talented Upcoming filmmakers love the themes his films tackle.
57:20 A Quiet Place Day One Review Starts. My fav of the series, love the character arc for Samira and Eric and thought the actors had the best chemistry I’ve seen in recent memory from two leads.
I would love for Joseph Quinn and the cat to return for A Quiet Place 3. If they're on the island, then they can be there when the movie kicks off. I thought his performance was great given what little he was given other than being a sweet young man. I would love for his character to be explored further and have another companion for the Abbotts.
Ryan Gosling New Zombie Comedy Gets The Best Title In Years you is on board to produce the wonderfully-titled zombie comedy I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale🎉🎉🎉
Views soaked in and appreciated🙏🏽 Will be watching of course, cause the overall components to the movie feel perfect. 1 Only thing I'm apprehensive of is the "killer" being too tropy since being modeled from real life person, no spoiler. Just what I've read in articles.
Annnd then spyglass got greedy, didn't want to wait of Radio Silence so they lose them, bafflingly didnt want to wait on Jenna so her role was reportedly already being dramatically reduced before they did Melissa dirty, which not only ended her involvement but killed talks with Jenna and ran Jasmin and Mason off aswell. So now what? We're back to the original cast whose real stories ended 3 movies ago and I have zero interest in Scream 7. None. I wanted more of the core 4, they were fresh, new, and exciting.... alas.
Why are you posting a MaXXXine review when for us normal movie goers it's not even out yet???? I'm scared to watch this because I don't want it spoiled.
Critics have been making reviews of movies before they're out for forever. The idea is to help you understand whether you should see it when it's out. (Spoiler reviews on this channel are clearly marked as spoilers)
I agree. She’s the reason I’m concerned about del Toro’s Frankenstein. He’s going to pull out something incredible, but she’s the weak link in that casting. Maybe she can pull something unique out.
I watched the Maxxxine sneak peak after a screening of X and i think the studio door opening is a reference to the barn doors opening in the beginning of X and Pearl! loved that callback
Longlegs convo doesn't come up till 45th minute for anyone else who came here just for that. I like creators other content previously but this hourlong chat (perhaps I'm not as familiar with this format) seemed highly misleading when you know people found their way here via Longlegs review search. Ngl this really bummed me to feel like I was clickbaited.
