It's another kind of fury entirely when it's a mother desperately trying to cling onto her daughter by pushing a color onto her that's been forced onto her for a good chunk of her life without ever considering she might want another color at her wedding.

Well. Bridesmaids always need the mothers approval. We'll most of them at least. And Maybe this bride wanted what she wanted with what the mom wanted by a mix of the beauty of what the dress looked like by what the bride maid wanted. And the colour or shade for what the mother wanted.

My thoughts exactly!? She's wearing WHITE it's the bridesmaid who are wearing the the pink. Really wish the bride would have stuck to peach. I think it would have been far more beautiful. The Consultants should have at least let her see some shades of peach in that dress. So tired of the Consultants pushing mostly what makes the Entourage happy. The only time they focus on making the bride happy is when the bride is in tears, emotionally hurt, or if she's being a meek and mild pushover and being taken advantage of. Otherwise, it's all about pleasing the Entourage.

Her mom wanting the bridesmaids to wear pink dresses symbolizes what her daughter has always meant to her. She's her little girl, her baby. Always, no matter her age. The daughter's aversion to pink has less to do with her hating pink. More to do with her wanting to be a grown up and her mom to see her as such. That she's not a baby anymore.
That’s just how mothers are. I can’t speak out of personal experience because I’m no parent but I can only imagine how hard it is to think you won’t be seeing your child every day this little person you’ve raised from baby to who they are present day it has to be tough on the mom but she’s being a hit too sentimental about the color bullshit with this dress. Like I get it but I don’t because despite this kid life crisis the mom is having over her daughter getting married it’s her daughters wedding day

I think it’s very telling how at the end, she said she was happy she could please her mom because she knew she would give her hell about it if she didn’t, as opposed to pleasing her mom because she wanted to make her mom happy.
The groom would probably either be in a pink tux or forced into blue only, since that's a "boy" color I'm sure his parents also dressed him in as a baby.
It’s actually my hope that she lets her wear white with a pink sash or pink flowers and doesn’t try to push a blush dress on her! But I think even she will know her limitations there. This may be her only child, and I have a feeling maybe the Dad has passed away....? Not sure. This color is comforting to her. Makes her think everything will be ok; let’s her have her little girl for one more day. It would be interesting to see a follow-up!!
@@maybudd5793 Most mamas in that area go a little crazy if traditional white isn't worn, it's very frowned upon. I'd be very surprised if she wanted her to wear that down the aisle.
Honestly the daughter compromised when she didn't need too. She wanted a peachy color and ended up with a total!y different shade. The mom needs to learn to take a back seat. I get that its still technically the same color since it's shades of pink but man, this bride technically compromised and we don't know if she truly wanted this color. She gave in on having pink bridesmaids dresses so that her mother would leave her alone when it came time for her to have her desired wedding gown. At least, that what it sounded like to me, but I got a bit confused with all the silly dramatic statements being made.

I don't understand why friends and families feel entitled to dictate to the bride the choices she should make based on THEIR preferences - especially mothers of the bride. It's the BRIDE'S wedding day. It's HER dress. It's HER day, and HER decision. I think the way these mother's bully their daughters into picking what THEY want is disgusting and pathetic. It shows that they are making this about THEM and trying to relive their own weddings. My best friend made me wear a bridesmaid dress in a hideous shade of blue, not my style at all, but she had her heart set on them...and what did I do? Smiled, told her they looked beautiful, and bought the dress and wore it. Why? It wasn't about ME!!!

To have a sweet remembrance of something is different but carrying a cut out figurine like a cross keeping away evil spirits while dress shopping is a bit too much!
The blush just would not have worked with their spray tan complexions, esp the bride. The deeper pink was a much better choice, though I really liked the original purple the dresses were modeled in.
If mom is this emotional over the selection of the bridesmaids dresses, what is she going to do when Sarah picks out her own wedding dress? They gon have to call the medic!
