Just my opinion, but I would guess that what Amon does is he uses bloodbending to block off chi channels that are being used for bending, but since she didn't have active airbending, there was no chi flow to block for airbending.

Rollercoaster of emotions in the season 1 finale. Amon's end was so dark... bu then Aang showing up blew my mind. Overal i was very impressed after the first season, it wasn't easy to follow the original series but they did very well as far as i'm concerned.

Enjoying your reactions to Korra. Agree that a couple more episodes would have been great but they were still able to give us a compelling ending. Looking forward to your reactions to book 2.

this episode was a ride. I remember these last 2 episodes being so hype cuz they released on my birthday that year. They gave 0 fucks with just a casual murder-suicide on screen. We all wish book 1 was longer but its one of the better paced seasons as a result surprisingly, since at the time it was meant to be a miniseries and they didn't even know if they'd get to make more at the time.

Tarlaq and Noataq are dead. Tarlaqused the Equalist glove to zap the fuel tank of the speedboat they were on. They are like, SUPER dead.

Nickelodeon was greedy and treated the writers bad. Originally nickelodeon only gave them the permission of one season with 12 episodes, so it was planned that the twelfth episode of season 1 would be the last one. Then the show went so successful that nickelodeon spontaneously told the writers to do a second one. And in the middle of the second one they got permission to do two more episodes. That's the reason why the first season feels a bit rushed sometimes and why there are no cliffhangers for the next season

This was great. I loved feeling the low lows and the high highs with you. I loved when you called Amon a liar just before Korra did, lol.

Please stick with all four seasons! This show is amazing! Korra is quite a bit different than ATLA. Its amazing all on its own

14:06 I do nor think, that is a small nitpick. I think, that is a major flow. but your are correct in how it came to be. seeing what happens in later seasons, I would say, the authors of the show saw that similar. the other big flaw here is, the conclusion to the equivalist situation. The hole thing is interesting, because they do have legit grievances. And now there leader is dead, and that's it? A political movement, that was strong enough to take over the hole city just disapears? that is a bit undervelming.

I never really understood why Amon being a waterbender was relevant to the correctness of his cause. If he's a bender, then it's okay for benders to oppress non-benders? I get that it seems strange that the leader of the Equalists would be a bender, but he could be a bender who's passionate about the rights of non-benders (and they didn't establish that he was secretly in it for the power). It's a good show and he was a cool villain, but I feel like he was cool in part because the Equalists were _right,_ and that could have been addressed more directly than it was.

Avatars bending is in spirit, not in body. You can take bending away from body of Korra but not from the spirit.

The last two episodes really, really feel like they could have been 4, yeah. In general the first season felt like at some point they thought they had more episodes, or might even be doing the entire show with this overall plotline then had to change course. The final result is still solid but it has a lingering sense of there being something strange behind the scenes.

I admit we did not see Amon's body so there is a chance he escaped, but so far as we know at this point - Amon and Tarrlok are dead ... that said, in ATLA it looked equally bad for Zuko when the ship he was on was blown up and yet he came back, so who can say?

The anime in the season ending is incredible! The characters' movements, the angles of the plane and the equipment, "forklift"😂, are super. I like the last time we see Amon he has a tear in his eye. Why was he crying? As they say, tune in next season. Bunny's reacts match the episode; bright, intriguing and informative. Thanks for the first season 🎉!!

Still a Nickelodeon show. They wouldn't outright show deaths on-screen.

I liked that Korra and lin got thwre powers back straight away and you would not have seen anng again if Korra did not get the rest if her elements back l understand that she was veru low that is why helped her out maybe Korra was contemplating suicide at the end

From what I have read, apparently they weren’t sure if they’d be renewed for a second season and they were under tight constraints around how long this season could be. With all that in mind they really nailed it with season one. It’s so satisfying. The show is very much about loss and coping with loss. That theme carries through the whole series. And each season introduces a different threat.

Zombie Ammon comes back in season 4.

A couple of points of order Even though there are 4 season that was not that plan. Originally the show was supposed to be only 1 season, so the story was written to have an ending. They were not planning ahead at the time. Nickelodeon ordered a second season, when the first did so well. They later order a 3rd and 4th season. Sadly Nick handled the show as poorly as they did ALTA and even for awhile took the show off the air and only show it online (this was before streaming was an everyday thing) Second point, maybe you stepped out of the room or just forgot (since it's not in this edit) Tarrlok and Noatak went Kaboom!!
