The only thing that came to mind when I saw Failboat's name pop up was just me going "HEY THARE DANANA WHATS IT LIKE IN NEW YORK CITY IM PEELIN BANANAS WITH ONE ARM YES ITS TRUE THIS STREAM IS MESSED UP WHAT TO DO THIS ONES FOR YOU OWO ITS WHAT YOU DO TO MEEEE OWO ITS WHAT YOU DO TO MEEEE"
The SMW goal’s issue of not giving a 1-Up is that when you go to touch it, the tape moves down and Mario ends up touching empty space, providing no reward at all
I love this format, very suspenseful. I like that it still feels plausible for you to lose (as we learned from the first short attempt), but also possible for you to complete a bunch of stages first. Keep up the good work!
1 minute in and mad props for actually playing the level blind at 1 life. If there were any coins when you started life 1 we would have known you tried out the level first before getting to life 1
8:37 this is giving me flashbacks to a level I created called “the ten coins” (I don’t have Nintendo switch online yet so it’s not uploaded) It starts out as smb3 in the plains with the goal at the start but you need ten coins to clear the level so you go through a pipe to a ghost house then the level gets HARD (haven’t beaten it yet)
I love these. I find the expert category overall has more interesting levels and the restriction of starting with one life keeps the suspense going where otherwise you might go on forever. I would really like to see this become a regular series.
Really like this setup I miss super expert no skip and really enjoyed seeing you play it again recently. This is kinda the same feel watching it, I like the suspense. Thx
That drop door with the needed key was a super expert move. The rest of the level was about normal. That's why it wound up in expert. Thanks for the video Ryu.
I just watched this video, about ten months after its premiere LMAO. It was a really super fun concept I hope you made more of these, it had me on the edge of my seat too.
About the "dont get live after stage finish in super mario world": TLDR: You have to touch the moving bar (at the top), without touching the "end of stage" hitbox first. Detailed explenation: You sometimes dont get the extra life from the super mario wolrd flagpole because you touch the "level finished" hitbox instead of the "flag height" hitbox. Think of it like this: when you go under the flagpole it tags you as finished end you get nothing from it in super mario world even if the moving bar is at the very top, because you finished the stage below it and hit the "stage finished" hitbox. The same happens from above too: you where higher than the flagpole (instead of below it) and hit the "end finished" hitbox. In super mario world you have to touch the moving bar to get the life, if you get in between the 2 rods without touching the moving bar, you finish the stage without the "end of stage reward" (in the original you gathered star points to get more lives).
