Endless Space 2 - The United Empire - Prologue 

Dunno why everyone keeps saying they're communist. The United Empire are a hardcore monarchy with a strong focus on industrialisation and expansion. The propaganda looks like it's from the Soviet Union because the Soviet Union was very good at making propaganda, and good propaganda is good propaganda.

"We will greet new peoples and turn them into new patriots." While showing half-naked alien slave - just beautiful.

"We can become anything our hearts desire" So you have 3 choises: Military-Footsoldier, Military-Mechanic, Military-Researcher

Looks like someone took "Humanity, Fuck Yeah!" to the extreme.

This is how imagine the Golden Age of Mankind was in 40k.

We're gonna construct great fleets. They're gonna be the best fleets, with the best crewmen. We will use the best technology. And the Sophons are gonna pay for it. 100%. They don't know it yet, but they're gonna pay for them. They're great people with great leaders, but they're gonna pay for our fleets.

Basically my every playthrough of Stellaris.

I was once playing lumeris and focusing on peace, influence and trade. Naturally I made an alliance with the vaulters, the sophons and Horatio. The unfallen also joined out of nowhere taking the final spot instead of the united empire like I was planning. But it didn't matter because I was at peace with em and even had a trade and science agreement... Until Horatio declared war on the UE... The same round I received 4 notifications saying "an obliterator had been fired", at Horatio's home system. What a day it was.

Desire to know more intensifies.

I like this new art this faction got.

While the devs may not be the best at doing *a lot* of advertising for their games, they are among the very best when it comes to making *epic* advertising. I'm getting chills running down my spine at near lightspeed whenever I watch any of these prologues. Furthermore, I cannot decide which species I'm going to play as for the first time. The United Empire seems just as interesting as the Sophons or anyone else.

I don't see what's dystopic about rain and factories with smog? Those factories provide good jobs, and goods for the people!

Reminds me a lot of Imperium of Man. Also I was thinking more like a Eurasia in 1984 book by George Orwell. I really love the "turning into new patriots" part.

I like how at 0:56 it looks like he's kind of accepting the gift, but then if you look at the scene after it becomes clear he was actually just laughing at the alien. "What, you think you can save your species by giving me FRUIT?!"

The slick propaganda video followed by a Fallout-style zoom out of what an Empire city actually looks like was pretty clever. Same with the "making new patriots" section where the Empire flag is planted on a pile of skulls (presumably from the alien faction seen before).

The 0:36 ship's front, those commisar hats and the end bleak scenery are SO WH40k. And this United Empire is the best Empire.

LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! THE GALAXY IS OUR BIRTHRIGHT! EMPEROR ZELEVAS GUIDES US ALL! Oh and by the way, the Empire isn't communist, it's a crony capitalist absolute monarchy. The propaganda looks Soviet inspired because all autocratic nations have a tendency to use the same extremely catchy aesthethics, to demonstrate the empire as great, cool and all that. No wonder why the Soviet/Russian anthem is so good.

Actually it's more like Dominion Empire under Arcturus Mengsk and not Starship Troopers or WH40K.

I'm happy the the spaceships form the united empire were completely redesigned, the old ones in Endless Space 1 looked kind of bad, but now their ships look awesome, they reflect the strength of the United Empires.

I once made a UE custom race...started the game If you know the killzone series, you'll understand this... I started with Helghan...irradiated, dangerous fauna(or was it flora?), And deadly storms (or something just as bad)...I ended up with fleets of super ships, each fully kitted with the one shot per battle lasers that just ended every fleet they faught....it was beautiful

STARSHIP TROOPERS HELL YEACHHH

Earth, basically. This is the Earth civilization.

I’ve found that the best way to play the empire is with sheer force of numbers which can be very easily done with the Karga being that the ship has Access to four utility slots which can be used for either a jammer of space for extra troops, the other three can be taken up by standard warp engines although you could jump up to the yellow warp drives to give you a much larger area of operations, but it means that it will cost you more in the ways of time and resources, vs the standards which I would only recommend installing only two rather than three because we’ll get to that later on and lastly weapons, when it comes to the hoard build, you’d simply go kinetic all the way, this means that you can gain access to things like the torpedos which at the start of the game already does sixty plus damage, which only increases over time with more research, but that being said, the standard one does a max damage of about seventy which is a lot, but it just has terrible reload and can only have one weapon at a time, however that’s rather inconsequential when when you consider that if you’re civilization is already highly industrialized and industrial based, then you can basically turn what most factions would usually have to wait say about forty turns just for a destroyer, vs you constantly pumping out new ships ever two turns, and if you’re really good and high tiered you can basically cut the space time to basically one turn per ship, yes they’ll explode as soon as they’re hit with anything larger than a politicians ego, but it ultimately doesn’t matter because at the end of your turn you’ll be respawning new and more ships all the while they’re waiting to build their replacements, plus the overall fleet cost is actually staggering being that they only cost about two credits each means that overall fleet costs can be lowered all the while ships like the Zolya make for fantastic interdiction/ interception ships making them perfect for rapid expansions or redeployments.

I LOVE this video, this is my favorite faction video by far with cravers coming in as a close second.

I love that Amplitude had the guts to make humanity the bad guys in this franchise.

Despite the low budget, your videos are a real art. Watching the intro, you are deeply immersed in the conception of the faction. I've reviewed these videos many times already.

This video sold me on getting the game now. I loved ES1 but was reluctant to get 2 early access with so few factions, but wow the aesthetic of the Empire looks great and I'm going to have to get it now.

There's some strong orwellian vibe going on here.
