Head adds another chapter to the Boom Pro! As the heaviest member of the Boom family, the Boom Pro 2024 packs more stability and mass-based power than the other models in the Boom family. It also has more control thanks to a surgical 98 square-inch head. Like the previous generation, this racquet features a unique head shape, which creates a more forgiving contact zone in the upper hoop along with a larger spin window. The result is a uniquely comfortable modern player's racquet with near effortless access to power and spin. For 2024, Head updates this racquet with Auxetic 2, a uniquely flexible material in the yoke and handle to optimize the response. Other technologies include a Morph Beam, which blends box and angular cross sections to combine classic control and feel with impressive stability and power. The Boom Pro also features Graphene 360+ (labeled Graphene Inside), which strengthens the frame in key locations to provide a more powerful and stable hitting experience. Ultimately, with incremental tweaks to the feel and response, the Boom Pro remains a great option for intermediate and advanced players in search of a comfortable modern player's racquet.

FYI, Musetti uses PT348.1 which is a made in austria version of the Extreme Tour. The retail Extreme tour is very close to what he uses =)

@hybrid11theory75 5 месяцев назад
Right, but wrong. He uses a completely different layup. It's still far fetched saying the ET will be a very similiar racquet to Musettis personal frame... it's not ,)
@arthurgiusi1901
@arthurgiusi1901 5 месяцев назад
I know the layup is very different hence the feel at impact and feedback is different. However, performance wise, I feel tgt348 and pt348 are very close, don't you?
@hybrid11theory75
@hybrid11theory75 5 месяцев назад
@@arthurgiusi1901 The retail ET is very fragile and has a small sweetspot... musetti uses a softer layup and ofc personal heavy specs that leads to a completely different experience. ;)

Definitely agree that the head shape on the boom pushes the sweet spot out towards the head a little. Only notable part of the transition for me

Hi TW (Mark), I know the previous generation of the Head Boom Pro was your racquet of choice, how does this one compare to that one? I’m trying to decide between the two. Thank you!

I love the matching outfits! 🙂Michelle, the 5 or 6 shots you hit looked loopier than usual; it must have been difficult to adjust.

Yea, I found if I whipped up and through I had more success. The longer more linear stroke path I normally use was leaving me a bit disconnected from my shots. Fun racquet, but def would lean into the Radical Pro over this Boom Pro. Michelle, TW

Michelle I found your reviews and comments the most accurate of all for me. Could you make a special video of your top racquets or so? All your reviews from racquets I have or have owned describe exactly what I wen through with them and how they behave or feel etc. E.g. your reviews for the Head Speed Pro 2022, Pure Aero 98, VCORE 100 Gen 7th. Etc. Maybe one day.. thanks for the reviews

Troy, good day, have you tried the new mold VOSTRA V9 Volkl Raquet….i i find no review on it, and it looks like a good Raquet with Volkl arm friendly technology , i currently use the C10 EVO, thanks and success 😊 !
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 месяца назад
I have tried the 305g Vostra V9, and I prefer the smoother more classic feel of the C10 EVO, but the V9 does provide a bit easier access to power in comparison. So I would go for the C10 EVO in terms of comfort, feel, and precision, however someone who wants a bit easier access to power (still in a control frame) might want to try out the V9 Vostra. Stay tuned though as I believe we will have some video reviews coming soon. Troy, TW

Hi. how's the boom pro compared to the new pure strike 98 16x19? Do they play almost the same?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 5 месяцев назад
Both are 98's and 16x19 patterns, but feel is quite different. Another big difference I would say is the maneuverability and plow through factors. This Boom Pro is pretty easy to maneuver, and provides easy access to power and spin. With the Pure Strike 98 16x19 it feels a bit more solid on contact, and although I found I can hit a heavy ball with it, it has a higher swingweight, so swings with more heft and plow through; not quite as fast or whippy feeling as we tend to say. Troy, TW
@kevinchu3546
@kevinchu3546 5 месяцев назад
@@tenniswarehouse thank you for your insight. How about interms of control and comfort? I know the strike 98 is pretty powerful but some find some discomfort with it, do they have the same power level and comfort?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 5 месяцев назад
Yes, that has definitely been the reputation of the Strike 98. We find these version 4 Strikes to be more comfortable than before, they feel a bit more plush and are coming a bit more flexible. That said, the Boom Pro 2024 is also at the same stiffness of 64 and did go down a bit from the last version. I would say comfort is fairly close between the two, maybe a little more dampening and muted feel from the Boom Pro, but the Pure Strike has more plow through, and feels like more of its mass is up in the contact zone, which I think helps with shock reduction. Troy, TW

Hey guys how is it compared to ezone 98 and vcore 98
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 месяца назад
I would say it has pretty easy power like the EZONE 98, however for some reason the EZONE has a bit more plush feel; maybe its the dampening system in the handle. Spin potential is pretty good, I would say somewhat in between the two Yonex racquets, not quite as much spin potential as the VCORE 98 but a bit easier than the EZONE 98. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse Thank you! Can I also ask that for a agressive baseliner who looking for low swıngweıght like 315, stable, control oriented and havıng the qualıty of respectable spin produce which racket do you guys reccomend? Ezone 98-Vcore 98-Boom Pro-Percept 97-Prestige Pro. I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP GUYS
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 месяца назад
That's sort of a tough question, as most of those are great racquets. However, it is tough to argue against the EZONE 98, becuase it is so fast and maneuverble, but also pretty stable and decently comfortable. I think most of our testers would pick it over the Boom Pro. VCORE 98 has a great feel to it and tons of spin, but maybe a little bit lacking on the volleys and slice compared to EZONE 98. Percept 97 is really nice and maneuverable, great precision, but maybe lacks some put-away power. Prestige Pro is just a beefier control frame with tons of feel, but not the most user friendly. Troy, TW

Technically no, the stiffness rating that we found is a bit lower with this update. For some reason, I found the feel on contact a bit more firm with this update, but could have just been the fresh frames, I thought they felt a bit crisper. Troy, TW

I'm not going to understand this racket. If i'm looking for spin and control I'd go with extreme tour, spin and power - > extreme mp. If your strokes more linear radical and gravity lines are great. Boom's weird hoop shape create some inconsistency time to time. Maybe it's me but I don't know...

Michelle doesn’t want to believe what suits her better, but the Boom Pro is her stick. I have no idea how the RF97 is her go-to, especially with a compact double handed backhand… baffling.

Interesting perspective :) For me, I had to change my forehand technique to get the Boom Pro to work for me and keep the ball in the court, so while I'm definitely always on the look out for the next best option, when it comes to Head racquets, the Radicals are the ones I tend to like...and there is one coming out soon I think that was not one I was expecting to like that I really enjoyed! But maybe I'll give the Boom Pro a hit today again just to confirm! Michelle, TW
