Nice work! That's a beautiful 911 with those Fuchs. I did pretty much the same thing with my 914. No mechanical experience only a Pelican Parts tech article. For a one person removal they suggested using all thread on all 4 corners and lowering it down slowly with a nut and washers so as not to catch the fuel rail on the body when dropping it. I felt your pain when that motor tipped.
i have done this job without a lift a hew times and i would not do this alone you made it look good but i do not think that you will not do this job alone agean fun to watch thank you for your time

I have an 88 Carrera but also love these early cars, would love to have a project like this but they have become really expensive and hard to find here in Australia. I look forward to the engine rebuild and the rest of the videos!!
That worked, but its the wrong way and takes to long. Jack up car real high, unhook everything, lower car back down, put jack under motor, take out motor mount bolts, and then "raise" the car off the engine, much safer and faster.
Hey Paul,,,,,I’m removing my engine today.....or going to try anyway....I have removed an tucked away all wiring.....I see you removed the fan...is this necessary and do you have to remove all tin ware around engine?
Hi, Great video and very informative. Question, what engine oil and viscosity did you use for those 190K miles, plus change intervals? Engine looked well lubricated and clean internally, the oil surely performed OK it seems. I enjoyed following this, thanks very much.
