Enshrouded vs Valheim - Details and Physics Comparison 

Exactly my thought and it annoys me a lot, game is really awesome but the characters looks like small halflings! :(

What about the actual world? Which games do you feel have a more Immersive and enjoyable world? Valheim feels kind of empty, even though it’s big and full of monsters, I feel like the lack of peaceful towns and NPCs make me feel like I’m in a solo survival situation rather than a world that has NPCs that I can synergize with.

Agreed. I Really like enshrouded, but art style, atmosphere and music is Valheim! Gameplay, and graphics go to Enshrouded.

Enshrouded Animations look like a year old game. Valheim is way better.

@@ZacklFair Enshrouded has been out for less than a month and yet it runs way better than than Valheim, melee combat is much better and building is way better. The only thing Valheim clearly wins is the art direction. But when it's night time and the moon starts the light up the world, that's where Enshrouded shines. I see your multiple posts on this video alone, stop sucking off Valheim.

Forreal. If graphics are all you care about just play real life. Near perfectly realistic graphics and the faces and dialogue of npcs is super realistic. Gameplay sucks but best graphics there is.

I showed a friend of mine Valheim and he didn't like the style first. But now he is in love with the game. We had to get a few Quality of Life mods (equipment slots with quick slots, PortalX, smart Containers, Craft from Containers). Currently finished the swamps. And I have never visited Mistlands, so there is still stuff to explore for me.

Enshrouded is amazing for real. It’s well worth the $29. Combat, building and obviously graphic are significantly better than valheim and I love valheim. To each there own.

The individual pieces are better but I'm not yet sure they work as a whole as well as valheim does. Valheim's roaming enemies made building feel necessary for survival. In enshrouded it's just for the rested buff and crafting

@@taylorwhite2751 Enshrouded has only better graphics , but then again its very subjective opinion. Valheim in terms of atmosphere , sense of journey , building a cozy house on the shore , music.. nothing beats it.

@@axiommoix9404 I think they both have their own unique experiences and styles that makes them good. Valheim is definitely the more difficult and potentially frustrating game, hands down. Enshrouded is quite a bit more relaxing, not in a sense of overall vibe (because Valheim music/lighting/weather/and general sounds are amazing) but because the game isn't quite as harsh. You aren't constantly worried about your base that you spent 20 hours building getting raided and destroyed in Enshrouded. Both games have fantastic building systems that, again, are different and good in their own ways. Enshrouded's voxel block style building mixed with the amazing graphics and ability of the blocks to adapt to their surrounding blocks to make smooth textures makes even simple builds look really clean and cozy. The amount of depth and detail you can add with minimal effort is super nice and the lower requirement cost of materials to build reduces the resource farming time a ton allowing more building/exploring time. Valheim on the other hand makes building like an enjoyable puzzle. In your head you're constantly considering the structural integrity of a build and the limitations of the pieces you're using. You often have to find ways to overcome these limitations which pushes you to be more creative and is rewarding when you're successful. Making something look really good in Valheim requires much more effort but also makes it feel that much better when you succeed. Combat in both games is a joke, I'll be honest. That said Valheim is a lot less forgiving due to dropping everything as opposed to just the random mats you drop in Enshrouded. Neither game is particularly hard if you play it safe but both games are hard if you jump straight into the end-game zone with beginner equipment. Valheim has better boss fights though, Enshrouded boss fights feel more like you're just fighting elite enemies as opposed to a big grand boss. So overall I'd say Valheim is a much more hardcore gaming experience with a higher level of difficulty and pressure while Enshrouded is like taking a walk in a very beautiful park. I think it's good that they are different like that because it allows me to pick one depending on how I'm feeling.

Imagine wanting to play the same game for another 40 hours but on a different map lul

@@snakebebop It will take you well over 40 hours to play through the Enshrouded map. ~30 hours in and I haven't even explored 20% of it.

@@meikgeik i have well over 40 hours since release. Stopped once we explored everything. I don't have the end game gear you get from random chests but I don't like the idea of reloading a map and opening chests just to do that. I went back to Valheim and it's a much more satisfying game.

Seems? Give enshrouded a try it’s significantly better than your speculating. The building, combat and obviously graphics are much better.

tbh valheim should be better now and its still the same as some one who played about 100 hours on both games i think enshrouded is the valheim killer the great thing about valherim is the atmosphere and great landscapes. valheim just kept enjoying the money after the release.

@@jorgecortes8448 I'm just happy that both games are great and looking forward to the release of Nightingale as well. I don't look at any of these games as the one that's going to kill the other, they can all be good in their own ways. I have 1,600 hours in Valheim and just hit 140 hours in Enshrouded and I'll continue to play Enshrouded until Nightingale comes out. If Nightingale connects with me the same way the other two have I'll likely play it, or a mixture of it and Enshrouded, until the release of Ashlands. Then I'll either play Valheim until one of the other games has a big content update or I'll find something else to play until then. A lot of people seem to think that they can only play one game, or one game of a particular style at all ever. You can jump around from game to game, it is not a sin. I'm just glad to have more good games to fill my time, and if I get tired of playing one I can just jump to another for awhile. Hopefully they stagger their content updates though, choosing between which to play if they release updates around the same time would suck

@@jorgecortes8448 Enshrouded is technically much better than Valheim, it has all the best features survival games have implemented over the years, features Valheim Devs will never do because they know people will make mods of it, Iron Gate is just like Bathesda, Valheim has a great theme, that is a lot more appealing, that is why people go back to Valheim....

@@adoniasts imo valheim has the ebst building features tbh when i play valheim its mainly because i want to build something epic but you are right on the modding and there are some great mods

Enshrouded feels like a cheap, soul-les JRPG copy off Valheim. The fact that its a 5 person team versus a company makes it even sadder lol.

You can turn on 2x Resources in your World settings. No mods required.

@@ZacklFair considering this in resulting of having just half the work to do it's still pretty much to do to prepare yourself for the next biome. i liked this system pretty much during the first hours of playing the game first time, it added to the immersion, but as soon as it became routine, it became annoying cause it's necessary but repetitive tasks, often disturbed by curious enemies who often come around to make the repetitive tasks even more time consuming. :D meanwhile i have some mods installed to enhance the qol of the game, but i'd never install rather cheater mods like valheim plus, it would just break the gameplay loop.

Agreed. In my opinion Enshrouded will never become as popular and re-playable as Valheim is. A year will pass - and Enshrouded will be forgotten as many similar games. Bcs Valheim is based on items, mechanics, food, mobs etc. taken from REAL world (and real world's mythology). And because of that a player can fully dive into Valheim's world and feel himself as a true viking, he can BELIEVE in this world's reality. Enshrouded is based on FICTIONAL world, and that's the main issue. It may have much more better graphics, mechanics etc., but the player will never dive into fictional world based game as deep as he dives into real world based game.

@@user-tl8jh7tw5w True. Valheim is way ahead and has a great replayablity. I got bored after playing 30 minutes of Enshrouded.. No sense of journey , the world is not appealing and doesn't attract you to build something. Gameplay itself feels arcady and easy.

@ZacklFair I've owned it since it was first released in EA. It's the most overrated game of all time. It's god tier only for people who never played any other survival games. Conan Exiles is much better.

Are you joking right? Easily wins? Have you checked on RU-vid what people are making in enshrouded? Have you done some terraforming in enshrouded? I think you are talking and never tried the game at all...

@@NoxusGr01you don't HAVE to. The base experience is good enough. The mods are just extra QOL stuff you can add pretty easily through Vortex. Enshrouded however is still in early access so I'll reserve judgment for now. Hopefully they'll have Steam Workshop for it, something Valheim is lacking at the moment
