Membrane must have still been a child back in the early 2000s haha, because I re-watched earlier episodes and I could definitely see that he still had human arms underneath his gloves.
If we going by D&D logic then he is technically Lawful Evil because most D&D stories have multiple gods, and science is considered morally wrong in most religions sooooooooooo, pretty much Zim is chaotic evil, irken empire as a whole is neutral evil, and membrane is lawful evil, though to be honest this is mostly just getting into semantics by this point since on the other side of the spectrum they could be considered good as well, so do not mind my babblings.
@@funkmantim2661 WTF are you talking about. Christianity invented science and the scientific method, and Islam has a rich history in science. And if we're talking fantasy not reality, look up the "Adeptus Mechanicus" from Warhammer 40k. They are literally a religion that worships a machine god. Religion has always had it's roots in science.
@@Mechagodzilla128 wtf are you talking about? first off it was the Greeks and Romans who were into Science, meanwhile then Christianity came into the picture and became the mainstream religion in Europe anything science related or too advanced for most to comprehend was considered witchcraft. At most you would find physics in the construction of buildings and weapons/armors, but the mainstream sciences were all but considered dark magic. Then there is D&D, NOT WARHAMMER 40k, because Warhammer 40k is a generally messed up universe and the only side that is good is whichever side you are on, the most you are going to get is if you are lawful or chaotic evil because that is just how it works, infact at most the tau are lawful neutral and the orcs who were bio-engineered war machines could be considered chaotic neutral. But for real, do not come into a comment section being all Uppity and not expect to have a argument.
@@funkmantim2661 To start off, Tim I don't think poorly of you. I think you were told false information, and you believed it. I am doing this because I'm tired of people believing lies, when the truth is accessible. I've listened to multiple professors on this topic, including a History of the Middle East, and a Science and Technology Professor. Religion and Science are, and always have been on the same side. For some reason, people are being taught the opposite, which is a fabrication. Roger Bacon, a Franciscan friar was credited with formalizing the scientific method. I liked professor membrane more in this film than I did in the show because I barely remember he exist, and whenever he does exist, he’s just a jerk ass.
MAYBE there's a good chance... The ending of the movie was left open, there's the comic series that it could go off of, there's been attempts before to revive the series, and the movie did pretty well.
HEG's Graveyard of Garbage there could be a problem with the fact the tallest are gone, but considering it’s zim we’re talking about he probably wouldn’t really even notice.
@@survivor6366the second one was too till they added those stupid loot boxes, and then never out in balanced matchmaking so when I tried to pick up the game years after it came out I was going against people hundreds of levels above me
@@survivor6366 😑. Then you have REALLY low standards. If the game that has: no single player of any kind, less 5 game mods, only settled in original trilogy l, f***ing season pass that locks half of the content is a good game then I lost any hope for the masses.
@@liamhunt1631 CEO: As you know we're canceling this near complete project among other budget cuts. And no one is profiting from it as much as I am. "I am" NOT CAPITALISTICALLY POSSIBLE!.
i think the man knew what he was doing, i mean before zim he made a comic series about a maniac with a head injury who kills people and uses their blood to appease a monster that lives in his walls.
Everyone: saying this movie is much like the original show and is actually good. Me: NOT SCIENTISTFICALLY POSSIBLE! Also me: *Watches movie* I know better know..
I never realized that Professor Membrane’s weird hair is actually a giant M because you know.. “Membrane” The fact that it took me this long to realize this is making me question my own intelligence.
i remember my first moose... it was a room... all white. and endless void too bright to see anything... except one thing.. it was...... A ROOM...... WITH A MOOOOOOSE!!!
@@techissus7449 i second that notion! I love Dbz even though it made a lot of mistakes and did some stuff I don't like I still love it ^^.... it's just I love JoJo more
I feel like Membrane knows what happened wasn’t actually a dream, but he doesn’t want Dib to know because he wants his son to be able to take on Zim without his help. For all we know Membrane may have taken on other insane space conquerors in his youth, so maybe he just wants his son to accomplish the same.
Hashid Yunan I mean sure, if Membrane told the whole world that all the stuff Dib was real, they’d probably believe him. He just wants Dib to be able prove it without him, just like how he’s made his own accomplishments for himself in his other projects.
My theory is that he knows that Zim is an alien, but if he were to capture or defeat Zim, it might mean the guys who sent him might destroy Earth. So, Membrane is letting Zim be in the hope that his incompetence will keep him from taking over and his presence will keep the real threat from setting their eyes on Earth.
Not the best dad in the world, literally thinks everything Dib knows is insane and untrue when it’s literally punched in his face, but he still loves him, and would fight a pudding obsessed clone for him using his cyber arms from making friends with sharks😂
He probably just has things he's more interested in, and doesn't think much outside of that. He doesn't care much for aliens and ghosts and prefers to think of it as fantasy then reality so he can focus. Then again he's also a hardcore believer in Santa Claus. 🎅
I heard a theory that he knows what zim is, but prefers calling zim dibs *foreign friend, since most of humanity is dumb and prob cant handle the fact aliens exist and possibly trying to take over the planet, also the fact zim is really inable to do anything due to his own incompetence, or his minions incompetence, hes so smart he knows that things are better off with the current state humanity is in to not know. Second he doesnt admit it to dib because he wants dib to stop trying to expose aliens to humanity and work on "real science" to help humanity. Which in past episodes weve seeen dib really, really enjoy that despit his need, no, obsessed nature to believe in paranormal and trying to find proof on stuff science turned its back on. Hes just a smart kid being a bit rebellious to his incredibly smart dad who still loves him but is trying to push him to do things that he sees will better help everyone, tbh why i kinda like that theory in gen. Edit, grammer.
@@MrRuner45 I really do need that little bit more fun to laugh at a joke I already saw 30 seconds ago from the video repeated but with some boldness added to reinforce the punchline that someone else thought of.
It was a huge mistake mate... You can see the series, however... The essence when the show was being aired in the early 2000's to around 2008-10ish... and seeing it as a child overall made it a great experience... Our Brains were *Too Tiny* for its Awesomeness back when we were kids, but Jhonen Vasquez still managed to have Nickelodeon air the show for us to see its dark humor. Turning some of us into Twisted and Wicked Great People with Amazing Likes... Making our lives so much more interesting and satisfying because of the show we saw as kids.
Membrane: Nobody is as excited for peace day as I am That random guy in the back I AM!!! Membrane: *NOT SCIENTIFICLY POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!* Best one liners ever.... Lol
Im sorry to say this, but netflix has a budget situation, due to all of the show's they make, and the main reason to why invader zim no longer runs, is because the animation was rediculosly expensive..
@@krysisadvocate1926 Maybe he will continue the series in movies, like Netflix replaced the anime itself of Godzilla to do a movie trilogy. After all, this is the best aclaimed special of Nickelodeon of recent years.
@@mireya0269 It'd be nice if he did that, but I don't think he wants to. From what I can tell, the guy just wanted to make a movie and end it with that.
Well the movie did just get released, so if high demand and views can bring sponsors and people to actually donate, there may be hope. After all a series releasing a movie after years of absence, I have high hopes they will make more soon. Don't ever underestimate the power of fans.
For all the times he’s dismissed what Dib has said he’s never hated him or been disappointed, embarrassed and exasperated for sure but never disappointed. Dib is a genius even if he doesn’t like the same field as his dad, Dib is responsible and Dib is absolutely his Fathers Son. Theirs no way Membrane could ever be not proud of him.
"But I've been waiting all night for this episode! Gaz can wait to get her stupid game." "Son, video games develop hand-eye coordination, shaping kids into better human beings!"
I watched Invader Zim a couple times when I was younger. It really freaked me out and I was never able to get the humor so it really put me off. I've tried to get into it a few times after that but I just never could. It was a mix of the Hot Topic breed of fans and the childhood memories lol. But watching this... I like this guy. Like. A lot. The voice acting, the animation, the character design. It all really works. I enjoy this very much.
I spend years wondering why on X-Mas special he shot a laser trough his hand destroying the front door. I knew it was Zim so I didn't question it much but still sat on my mind for OVER A DECADE!! Now I know it's for his robot-hands. Thank you Jhonen... thank you! You brought peace to my mind.
