I'm a great fan of Top Gear. After Jeremy Clarkson, James May & Richard Hammond exited Tog Gear, I really missed a car show. But then, I was really excited about the Grand Tour. Those are large productions houses and we wait weeks / months for an episode. Talking Cars have been nothing less than that to me.. (just my perspective)... Your every episode is anxiously awaited ❤️.. There are miles to go and its just the beginning...
I was just revisiting some of the episodes, especially since there's no new ones. This one, watching after a long while, makes me realise, really there's no one else who could have made this video this way. And during those times. All of your hard-gained knowledge and good mutual chemistry channelled in to such a general, simple topic makes it such a treat to watch.
had used a 2007 sx4 zxi for 13.5 years till 2020 last...havent driven the vvt model but havent ever felt that the non bvt version was underpowered...loved it everytime i drove it...coz of its tyre size road grip was amazing but the steering was a bit tight and the 190mm ground clearance gave and oppurtunity to take it to all roads in kerala without worrying about underbody damage and the seats was also too comfortable...even though the car was silent on the outside, the engine noise felt inside the car was very attractive for an enthusiast...mileage was 10kmpl in city and for long drives max was 14kmpl...never in the long term use the car ever gave any trouble or part problem...literally the car had just wear and tear parts replacement only...sold it only coz father wanted an AT car🙃..and after buying the 5th gen city AT, i regret selling the sx4 and miss the fun it gave while driving...since JD is saying that he hasnt driven it much, i really sughest you guys do a review on that for your coming episode.
JD and Vivek We must appreciate their effort put in by finding old cars and the different usability they show with different cars. Even the pros and cons are also mentioned in their videos which gives the viewers an exact picture of a car. Appreciate the efforts put in by you people.
Loving your work so far! I have been very reluctant to start watching your channel in the beginning but now I’m so incredibly interested that I’m sitting watching all your videos so far! Very different videos done with a lotta variety. In fact in this particular video, only after watching it for a few mins I noticed that u guys are sitting in two different cars. Good editing!! Keep up the good work guys!
Over the last few days, after having decided to sell off my Civic 2007, I keep on considering what I am going to miss. The car has been more and more expensive. After a late night drive tonight, I fell in love with it again (a Cougar love story?). Seeing this video immediately after the drive, JD and Vivek's statement that enthusiast cars are not to be considered for practicality, makes perfect sense... These are toys on which money and effort are worth spending, so that you grin ear to ear the little time it runs perfectly... Really wishing I could reach out to you for advise...
Great episode, pride to own a Baleno 1.6 2005 model for the past 8 years, re-registered it and planning to keep just because, replaced all the parts except the engine and gearbox :) , jokes apart quite a car to drive and own, still turns heads :)
Another lovely one 😘... I am sure, many will be still puzzled about seats, buckles and doors 😂. Swift 1st gen/baleno 1st gen would have been my next update from Zen tiger, if it was my wish, my money, my rules 😂. Sx4 maruti didn't marketise as it did with other cars... I really liked travel in it... Even for new across, till 2year back it's marketing was also low, now a little increased. Laura diesel felt like chariot in 2008, had experience with brother car... But he was forced to sell due to skodaish service issues and rattling sounds. Corolla is a great car, felt luxurious for its age, when friend got one of that era, 2 year back. Cousin brother now has the first corolla altis, love it. Etios & Etios liva are available in price range, but high runners.
Would add the Hyundai accent 1.5 petrol here. Underated but fun to drive had 90 horses and is dead reliable. Have one that clocked 2.5 Lakhs, have done a long Hyderabad to Trivandrum trip recently with it.
VW Jetta tdi 1.9 & Chevrolet cruze can also be considered who wants more power. Now a days 2009 -10 models we can find in this price range. But maintenance is little expensive.
I am always excited to see your videos. It's always new information whenever you guys do it. Love it ❤️❤️. Even mechanical details are discussed which are impressive. Why aren't manufacturers giving us these minute details. Like the different sound dampeners in swift models. Can you do a video on topics related to these.
Please add the list of cars in the Description know? Will help after viewing the video to search it and find on internet. Very nice video as always. Great job guys.🔥
No cars come even closer when it comes to handling, driving dynamics. Still a proud owner. Requesting you guys to make a video on Fiat cars I know you both own ones. Please share make a video to share your feeling when you drive them.
Really want to watch behind the scenes episode , the edit is so neatly done . If it wasn't for the different seats, we would've never known you both are sitting in different places and shooting this video
One of the best car channels , very informative and no gimmicks, could you do a video on Mitsubishi cedia ralliart that was launched in India sometime back,I believe it's a forgotten car like many Mitsubishi sadly
Awesome content😍So happy to watch amazing contents on a malayalam channel🥳. Btw what about cruze? 150hp for 3 lakhs is a good deal, isnt it? If we are lucky enough we could even find the 164hp ones for 3.5-4L.
The first-gen S-Cross 1.6 Diesel would be an enthusiast option, right? Great content as always team. SX4 VVT is an absolute beaut! Spacious, practical for our roads, efficient for a 1.6 petrol and hopefully not a boring car to drive.
Nice watching you guys 👍Both JayD n vivek were visibly enthusiastic 👍🤠. Ikon 1.6 is an awesome car.my cousin still drives one which is a 2005 model bought by his dad.The black beauty is still kicking and maintained in pristine condition. Of all the cars you reviewed, I think a polo 1.6 , honda city (arrow)AT or a swift zxi would be a wise choice, ryt?
Love you bros...... Thank you so much for including SX4 petrol. I am a big fan of SX4 petrol. However, I wasn't aware of the VVT thing. You saved my a**ss. Thanks to you both...Kudos :) :) :)
Arrow shot started from 2009 I guess. I own a 2007 ZX IDSi . Bought for 1.45 Lakhs from Mumbai in 2017. It was told to be more mileage focussed than performance. Ippo pakshe performancum illa mileagum illa.
This was the segment I was waiting in your last video. Was wondering why you didn’t include some of these cars in your last video. 😬💪🏻🤞🏻 ippo oru relaaaaaxation und
I owned ford fiesta 2010 model Service cost : 3600 to 4000rs Parts were readily available in ford spare parts store Parts cost were average Rides beautifully.. steering accuracy was really great and the feedback too. Good car for enthusiastic drives . Suspension was a bit on firmer side so all potholes were felt at slow speeds but car was able handle them at high speeds. My friend was planning to buy tata Tiago and I opened the world of used cars to him. He now drives Skoda Laura . Initially he was hesitant but now he wants to remap the engine :) . All it takes is a risky move .. I am now looking for used boxters but prices are still not falling for that car as I expected. By the time I am capable to buy those cars at the price they are asking, world would have turned to electric and all we can do is add a speaker to the exhaust for sound and mobile vibrator to steering wheel for the feel :D
@@TalkingCars I can see cars from Delhi that are cheaper but staying away as I don't know the procedure and amount that will incurr for bringing it to Karnataka. Thank you guys for your reply.
Had the same feeling when they are hyping up our dream cars...but then the lesser evil...do you want the value of the cars to go up or no one to care for them and they end up rusting in peace and lost forever (especially the imports) 😁
@@TalkingCars Haha. Athu point anu. Parts are getting more difficult to find, and are expensive. But I've kept one for the past 12 years. Oru review cheyyan thalparyam ondo ningalk ? 😂
@@kudariii my frnd bought a cruze due to this vikaram .oru clutch, 4 breakpads ,suspension arm and bushes replace cheyth.. annu thottu aa vikaram maari kitty 😂😂 clutch was very expensive 5 years back ..
I think the 2012- 2016 models is good. Becouse of lot of engine modifications done on this models. ( DOHC, Fuel pumb, FUEL INJECTOR ,Well packed engine etc. And the engine is super silent.
Athe, I had these in mind too. Painfully "MY" Cruze is also in this price range now and yet not mentioned. especially since maintenance was not a major criterion in this video.
Lancer is a best enthusiast car which is coming with a evo based platform like cidea. Its diesel natural asp is best reliable car.And can buy under 3 lackh. And parts are avilable in the market too in 1st &2nds market
Kuddos dears👍loved it Front doorpads & rear headrest videote edakku eppazho kandapol ente kili poii🐦 pakshe video ending vere njan videoil muzhuki irunu😍❤️ Editing💯
