As a very occasional coffee drinker, feeling overwhelmed when I rarely go to Starbucks, your video explained it well. Now I feel more confident when ordering, THANKS !
As someone who started working hot bar about 3 days ago I appreciate this, in the Starbucks I work at the espresso machine broke my second day on hot bar so I got set to cold bar and forgot all the hot bar I was taught. Today is my espresso skill check and I feel more confident watching this video!! Thank you 😊
wow you are truly a starbucks guru ❤️❤️ im not a huge coffee lover but still found this so interesting cuz i never knew the difference between any coffee drinnks 😂
Holy cow😦 I could take a whole semester class just about coffee and how drinks can be made. Looks like I need to expand my usual Pike Place order to something nicer.
Hi everyone! Thank you so much again for the support on this video I’m so happy it’s helpful for you all 😃 I was thinking of doing a Part 2 where I explain the whole process of ordering at Starbucks?? What do you guys think? 🤩💚
that would be awesome! i feel like starbucks has this culture to it and you have to use all these fancy terms i have no idea about and it’s making me too anxious to order anything. this part was a huge help already!
Check out *PART 2* here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X6pp6oYmbHc.html Hope you enjoy and leave any questions below. There's a couple of drinks and pointers I forgot to mention (the menu is so big!) so here they are: ✰ Filter Coffee (Pike Place) - similar to an Americano, this is a strong black coffee. However it is a brewed coffee so doesn't contain shots of espresso. It's stronger and cheaper than an Americano. ✰ Cold Brew - again, another brewed coffee. Cold Brew is an iced black coffee, it's very strong as it's been brewed for twenty hours. You can also add syrups to it or have it as a Cold Brew Latte which will be more milky. ✰ Iced Coffees - any espresso drinks, besides Flat White and Cortado, can be made over ice. Just ask for an iced latte, mocha, caramel macchiato, americano etc... ✰ Caramel Cloud Macchiato (ICED only) - an iced macchiato made with the same (skimmed milk only) cold foam used in the cappuccino, topped with two espresso shots and caramel drizzle. ✰ You can add any of our syrups to any of our drinks (e.g. to make a flavoured latte) the syrups are - caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, cinnamon, almond, peppermint, sugar free caramel/vanilla/hazelnut. There are more seasonal syrups such as pumpkin spice, marshmallow, gingerbread and toffee nut. ✰ Any extra customisations such as syrups, whipped cream (on drinks where it it doesn't come as standard), another shot of coffee cost 50p. Non-dairy milks Almond, Coconut and Oat are 40p extra ✰ If you go regularly you should become a Starbucks Rewards Member (free to join) in order to get all your customisations/extras for free (and other perks such as regular free drinks, early drink tasting etc). ✰ Other ways to customise your drink; changing the number of shots of coffee in a drink (add more or less), changing the temperature (ask for Kids Temperature, Extra Hot, or a specific temperature you like e.g. 55 degrees Celsius which is my fav temp) Control how much foam is on your drink- WET means no foam, DRY means extra foam ✰✰ I think that's all! Thank you guys for all the support it means a lot :) ✰✰
thank you. helped me a ton. My trainer didnt tell me this info so i appreciate this a lot! its my 3rd day and its been so overwhelming because i’m not confident in steaming the milk and the hot bar
Sarah Emily Amanda I don’t think it would taste so good as it’s designed to be blended into the frapp’s! I’d recommend just trying the regular coffees with less shots, maybe half of one shot? That shouldn’t be too strong 🙂 and also the ‘blonde roast’ is a lighter one which you might prefer ❤️
Sarah Emily Amanda no worries! Originally I never liked coffee either then I started out with the sweeter ones like the white mocha, the coffee is kind of masked with all the sugar haha so you’d probably like them 👍🏼
Iced green tea latte with soy mill and unsweetened foam on it 👌🏼😋 For all my non-coffee drinkers. It's the perfect amount of sweetness like that. If you want more sweet, add a scoop of vanilla bean powder or get sweetened foam instead of unsweetened. :))
update! i felt out of place for the first 2 weeks or so, but after a while i’ve made connections with coworkers and customers and found and my confidence. today was my first day on solo bar it was crazy busy but it went so well! it’s been so fun! i love everyone i work with and i love being a barista!!
Aww thank you! And the regular syrups we don’t sell but at Christmas time the Christmas syrups like gingerbread and toffee nut are usually sold in little gift sizes! ☺️ I do know of times when we have sold the large syrups to customers but it has to be put through manually and isn’t a standard thing to offer so it would be up to the store manager ❤️ it’s worth asking if you really want one though!
Great video!!! My sister and I actually just filmed a video about Starbucks drinks because we used to be baristas as well❤️! All of your descriptions were spot on 🤗! Thanks for sharing 💕!
I'm currently researching tips and basics about Starbucks cause I plan to work there. I have a whole notebook full of notes about Starbucks lmao. Do you have any tips for future Starbucks employees? especially during the pandemic?
Check out my video called “What it’s really like to work at Starbucks”! I cover everything about working there! 🙂 my tips are to always try and remain calm, don’t let customers get to you too much and be vocal!
Hii 😊 I’d probably recommend a decaf iced caramel macchiato, it’s quite sweet so you’re not going to have a really strong and bitter coffee taste. I don’t think it’s the sweetest of the drinks but if you find it’s too sweet for you, you can ask for half the syrup or the sugar free syrup 😊
@@juliagozar9900 no worries! It actually has vanilla flavour inside and it’s just caramel sauce on the top 🙂 but if you don’t want the sauce, maybe just an iced vanilla latte? (decaf)
Hi it's me again! I tried a hot vanilla latte but it wasn't sweet enough. Some things that I need in my coffee are decaf, and no Carmel, but still sweet. What hot drink do you recommend?
A latte is 1/3rd espresso with 2/3rd steam milk and 1/3rd foam, but you don’t have to have foam. Cappuccino is 1/3rd espresso, 1/3rd steam milk and 3/4 foam; it mostly foam
Hi I really love those bottled caramel Frappuccino’s you can find at stores and on the actual Starbucks menu I really love caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino but it’s a little too sweet and doesn’t have enough coffee so what would you recommend ps I also really hate chocolate
Hey! I know the ones you mean the bottled ones from supermarkets, it’s funny that those are called Frappuccinos when they aren’t even blended or icy like the real Starbucks ones 🤔 but they are nice haha. Okay I’d probably recommend having a caramel Frappuccino with a shot of espresso and half the amount of syrup 🙂
I thought the caramel ribbon was slightly to sweet too, so I just order a caramel Frappuccino because it’s only slightly less sweet and I notice the coffee taste only slightly more.
Can you get a caramel frappe made with real coffee instead of that instant kind? And if yes, how much will that cost vs getting a normal venti size one with a shot of expresso?
Wait is the menu different from where your at or does it have mainly the same! We have coffee fraps decaf bagels croissants and a lot of other things! Also seasonal drinks! It’s prolly my 5th time having Starbucks and I still don’t know what I want!
Jesus, I should have watched this 10 years ago. I've been just kinda randomly picking things whenever I go all these years lol. This morning I got another cafe late and was like "...... what IS this?" hahahaha. Why did I wait so long to look this up.
hi so i'm new to coffee but I really love it. I usually like coffee that's not too milky or too strong, but the coffee taste is slightly more prominent than the milky taste if that makes sense. at other cafes I just order an iced coffee which Starbucks has as well but is there anything else you would recommend? also what's the difference between the cold brew with milk and an iced coffee?
So there’s not really a such thing as just an “iced coffee” because there’s so many different types of coffee, but we tend to say a standard coffee is an americano so what you’re getting is probably the iced americano (water and coffee shots, with a little milk added if you like but not nearly as much as a latte which is more milk than coffee) So the cold brew is a different blend of coffee and it’s brewed for 20 hours to give it a strong unique taste, whereas if you ordered the iced americano it would come with regular espresso shots poured from the machine 🙂 hope this makes sense! I’d recommend trying the cold brew over the iced americano if you do like strong coffee 🙂
@@EmmaNicole thank u so much for responding. Is the cold brew and Iced americano really strong? If so what’s something weaker? I like the taste of coffee but If it’s too strong and bitter I don’t like it. And in a latte is the coffee tastes very weak?
You can consider it this way - If you take an espresso shot, water will increase quantity(but not so much the bitterness), and if you keep adding milk, it'll be less bitter. So you can go for latte rather than americano or anything with less milk(or any water).
I know what to order, I just can 't figure out how much it will cost. I paid as much as $2.36 to 3.09 within one day depending what store you go to. $$???
hiii thank youu so muchh this helps alot for someone who has very bad social anxiety but i was wondering about different iced coffees and can i just ask for a venti iced caramel machiato?
You’re welcome I know it can be very stressful haha glad this helps! Yeah venti iced caramel macchiato is fine or you can ask for an iced latte, cappuccino, mocha or white mocha 🙂
I’ve never been a coffee person but I wanna start drinking coffee to help me stay awake after I wake up ( so not feel tired so I can be productive all day for classes I’m a college student help!!! and work )
When I started out with coffee and I didn’t like it either I used to have white mochas with a syrup like hazelnut because they’re sweet and you taste the coffee less. Or coffee based Frappuccinos because it isn’t real coffee shots in those so it’s more mild 🙂
Im gonna order probably caramel macchiato or caramel late probably. I really like vanilla laté cuz its simple and sweet so i wanna see how good the caramel coffee is.
