A radio bought from Andy at vintage electronics repair , this radio is in the worst condition i have ever seen. Can i get this classic working again ?

Nice Radio and still repairable and it can be aligned. I almost finished to fix my good old 200ch Super Star 2000. It has about 15Watt output FM. The former owner screwdrivered it massively and now that I got some knowledge and proper equipment I could realign it almost perfectly. It receives very well. Thanks for your videos. Well seeing i couldn't get hold of a crystal for it , it seemed the only option , i was not going to let a missing crystal beat me .

Nice job mate, think I would have painted the chrome part of the bezel black but it's just cosmetics, the radio worked perfect

Got 3 versions of the storker 9, would be nice if you made a PIC so covers -5kc and +10kc as very frustrating when a stations asks to work a 0 frequency.

Yes i agree , i would need a stock stalker to play with as theres so many variables to deal with .

Honestly, mine looks a tiny bit better, but it will never work normally as i will never figure out what the problem is :D Receive is okay, but SWR is always full full with every antenna. I will just keep listening, whenever i can go outside with the GPE27 🤣

A roll of aluminium foil tape around bezel might have worked ok?

Well , im going to do a quick update video on this , after the first vid was released , i received a email with someone willing to send me a Stalker 9 front free. I have it here and its in better condition than mine , still got war wounds but that cant be helped for a 40+ year old radio, so stay tuned.
