I grew up a few miles away from Mr Norms so this is very cool to see the documentation details of this car. A neat piece I see is the yellow dealer form used. A couple of years ago I met Norm Krause at the Muscle Car show in Rosemont and bought some signage from his website.....in the shipment used as a packing list was that exact dealer form from the 70's! Old Norm sill has a supply of those forms he's just using up! Super nice guy and perfectly willing to autograph what ever you hand him! Great find you have there.

Though the documentation does help. I agree, a car can still be very cool without it.

WOW, I had a 1970 383 road runner, original air grabber, that Galien decoded for me.I was off white with a burnt orange interior, The build sheet was under the springs of the bottom back seat. Like an idiot I sold it 15 years ago, for $4,500, It was raced so it never seen much snow, frame and floors were beautiful. These cars sold cheap 15-20 years ago, I would probably have to pay $30,000 just to buy it back,It wasn`t that quick with the 383 but sure was cool, I painted it Limelight,sure miss it.

My company restored an original Grand Spaulding Dodge 426 Hemi 4-speed '71 R/T Charger for a well-known Mopar Guru. That was about 15 years ago. The car remains at a platinum level. We mostly do Fords but this was a fun and interesting project. B.T.W. Sounds like Mark Worman is not exactly your idol. L.O.L.

@jmendo2546 2 года назад
Your a little off on GSS origin started with 1967 dart put in 383 from a C-body using mount's and oil pan is how it started that's why there are so few 1967 dart/barracuda's gss 383 and 1968 they put 440 in and are rare. The work order is real rare as dealer's kept it for their record's and buyer's never got it 14:12
@ShadeTreeVintageAuto
@ShadeTreeVintageAuto 2 года назад
Sorry, you are incorrect. 1. Barracudas were never GSS, and Grand Spaulding ONLY sold Dodge models. 2. Dodge and Plymouth both made 383 A-bodies starting mid year 1967. In 1968, Dodge sent 383 model Darts to Mr. Norm for modification and were named GSS. The GSS nameplate was NOT used on 67 models. 3. 67 383 A-bodies did not use a 383 from a C-body. They had a block specifically built for the A-body. There are so few, because they were mid year.
@jmendo2546
@jmendo2546 2 года назад
@@ShadeTreeVintageAuto They made the 1967 dart because Dodge said they couldn't be done. They used a C-body 383 because they have Bosses in front of block and motor mount look at one they are differant regular 383 has no threaded boss or provision. I OWN a 1967 Barracuda 383 4speed convertible and a 1969 Dart GTS 383 4speed convertible and own a 1968 charger R/T Hemi (3) 1969 charger R/T charger's and a 440-6 challenger I have owned and worked on Mopar's since I was 12 year's old well over 30yrs. There is a video on youtube that MR Norm say's just what I said from his mouth this "isn't" the exact one Im talking about ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0lSNKQD1o-A.html at 3:06 he say's short version of it. I do think your somewhat right but the Dodge Dealermay not make a 1967 383 Plymouth barracuda Formula "S"--"GS" but no badge I have to look into my 1967 Barracuda 383 convertible history. Hurst Cambell made the 440 dart's/barracuda's not MOPAR just like they made the Hemi Dart/barracuda's just like Chevy did with Yenco was outsourced
