This is our 1972 dodge demon 340. The car is an original three speed manual and has the dual snorkel hood scoop. The car is an original TB3 Blue, similar to petty blue car with white and black stripes, and blue interior. Contact me at shadetreevintageauto@gmail.com for information.

1972 Demon 340 4SPD. was a great car. I bought a Hemi Orange one brand new. It was the perfect match, a Demon owner born on Halloween. It ran like Hell.

When I was a kid in the 80's I remember seeing the drag cars of the time with one style of rim in the back and a different in the front. I think this is a legit, period look and I would not change it!

I have the same car. 72 TB3 340 auto. Same dress up package, but white bucket interior and white vinyl roof. Power discs, power steering, and dual painted sport mirrors. 👍

I had both years at the same time in the 90's. Both 340 6 Pak 4 speeds. I had a 4 color yellow one. Repainted the car plum crazy purple. The blue one was repainted slime lime green. And I had a 73 Duster 340 4 speed. All at the same time. Fun cars for a straight line. Not so fun around corners. 😂

If I remember right guys bought the 3 speed trans to get a break on insurance. That's what a classmate told me when he bought a new Duster. Swapped in a 4 speed right after he took it home.

The Demon stripe kit is called Sizzler. They mostly came 318 but could be ordered for 340 car. Does this car have disc brake's ? Check the background to make sure this wasn't a Mr norm's supercharged car

I live in the UK, I have owned a '68 Roadrunner for 38 years before they became "trendy" LOL, I also have a '69 Dart 273, and a '68 L code 440 conv Fury, I need the l/h/s door drop glass, but more importantly the l/h/r quarter glass, I have been trying to find it for 6 years with no luck, have you any idea where I might get them?, the shipping is the hard bit, no one wants do it at any price it seems, regards, UK

The ridge down the decklid also is a '72 change. Before that, they were smooth.

1970-71 should have the smooth trunk lid with the stamped holes underneath for factory spoiler. The ridge was added because when you closed (slam) the trunk lid they all ended up with dents. I always close mine using finger tips because your fingers will give. Not like your palms. Chrysler would use left over parts until they ran out so I bet some early production 1972's had smooth trunk lids.

One of those been sitting in front of a barn since 1978 . drag car since almost new. Barn was falling in so they dragged it out in 78 and hasn't done nothing except sink further to China . Not for sale I asked a bunch of times.

I had a 71 Plymouth duster in 74 it had a 340 high performance three speed, it looked just like this one . That car would fly, Me and a couple of buddies got on the interstate and got up to 135 with no problems. I loved that car

@@GMCTIM I had a 70 Challenger but it was a 440 & 4 speed and it was pin you in the seat it was so fast but I never got it on the interstate to see how fast it would go, in those days I was always to high and getting tickets I’m sorry to say
