First of all, I have been a fan of this show since episode 1 and it is simply the best show on RU-vid. Even though during the last 30 years I have collected vintage and some new amps, in the last 10 years I have been building and modifying amps as a hobby and have attended both the Egnater amp building seminar and his theory/mod class. As a matter of fact, Bruce was so kind that he mentioned me and our friendship during Episode 12. Let me tell you, if Dave and Bruce do a seminar together I will be there in a heartbeat! By the way Mark, Dave is right on you letting it go sometimes. In a world of correctness, a little bit of chaos keeps it real and relatable which, together with your great topics and guests, is what we all love about your wonderful show. THANK YOU!!!

With all due respect, I think it is safe to say that Brad is as responsible for Z’s success as anything. The exposure he has given the brand over the years is immeasurable. I know he is what led me to Z amps.

Anyone else go back and watch these? I feel like a stalker at this point lol. Taking Bruce’s class in April. I did it in 2012 and the advanced class in 2014 too. Still sent my amp to Dave. This stuff is like cooking... no two cooks do the same thing. It’s so cool.

I had a baldwin exterminator late 60s i think ,, its been a while . Ur right , was huge , loud as hell and the sides were sky blue . What i remember most was it had a warning sticker concerning ones hearing , not seen 1 since.

Love the show! Its great to hear input from top amp builders, i am novice builder that started a few years ago, would love to hear some input from some well known amp builders on topic of grounding in amp building, maybe different philosophies on star vs multi star point grounding

Mr.Friedman please do a clinic with Mr.Egnater I literally couldn't think of anything cooler than to learn from two genius builders who happen to be some of the nicest guys you could meet. Icing on the cake is I walk away with a Friedman style amp .We're talking make-a-wish level stuff here. So I'm guessing we are approaching 5 figures here so I better go ahead and sign up to be a test subject for medical research when I'm not at work lol. Seirlously thanks for another great episode guys. 52 shows and counting and not a single dud in the catalog. Respect to ya Mr.Friedman Mr.Huzansky and Mr. Zaite. Cheers guys!

Hey Dave, I 've seen a amp that use Compactron tubes,would they save space on a amp that has 5 or 6 preamp tubes?And would they be feasible?

"I can work on that while its hot" I work as an industrial electrician so that comment makes me laugh because many times I, or fellas I work with, will try to make a fix or adjustment while a circuit is hot and inevitably my hands get shaky and my screw driver gets really clumsy. POW bright flash and everything shuts down... whoops!

Before this episode I cannot imagine anyone saying a humbucker into a Fender amp isn't a great sound, I couldn't disagree more!! so many of my favorite guitar sounds are exactly that!
