Your right. I got the Gleim book too. Sometimes you still have to figure out some of the the problems yourself. Still a good book though.

Yessir, they basically tell you how to do the problem in the test booklet, use it to your advantage. Of course, you will need to study it before your written. Good luck!

But the take-off distance you have read out from the graph is the "un-factored take-off distance", I guess (wording from the CS/FAR-23). In order to calculate TORA, for example, you would add the relevant safety factors to your 1'000 ft distance, no?

for obstacle height, the chart says "Guide lines not applicable for intermediate obstacle heights." So doesn't this mean you can't use it for 25 ft obstacle?

The 25ft obstacle was just a hypothetical to demonstrate how to use the chart. When you see these questions on your written exam they will tell you the height of the obstacle.

Hello, so in real life, the ATIS does not give me pressure altitude, how do I calculate this? I have to carry some other chart in my back pocket, and is this chart standard regardless of where i am located in the U.S. ? second question, at what point did you take into consideration the density altitude, where is the density altitude calculated on the video? I have seen Koch or other density altitude charts, when are these used in these charts to clear a 50 foot obstable. I fully understand the density altitude concept, but how is it applied to this chart? Thank you for your time.
