You don't have to be sorry (I wasn't offered)... I just don't particularly recommend those kind of channels because are made "for commercial purposes IMO", not for the people (if you are looking for advices in sneakers). For them is no bad shoe, nor they have an important problem ever... I mean they always are... Great! Somehow... :) Otherwise they might be a good source to see "new stuff" that is coming out. Mostly if you don't find any other videos but, you are curios how they look in other than some official pictures seen on the webpage of the brand.

My focus always goes back for "value for money" in footwear (and not just). Sometimes I do get "distracted" or curios with awesome cushioning or maybe "great colorways" but, in the end... what I care most... remains how much time can I get from them till they have to go to de recycle bin.

"Love your review!" - Thank you! "Very detailed and unbiased." - I'm trying to show everything the way I found it. Without hiding details. Basically as close and as natural as it can be discovering a product, but thru my eyes. Some are thinking that I'm a bit too harsh or too picky, but its our money and is not easy to make them. So, of course I do have some expectations from every product. Buying online is not the same as buying in a physical store where you can check everything before and see well what you are going to pay. "I ordered one and can't wait to try them." - Try to lower down your expectations, I'm saying this because sometimes the people think that just because they've seen it on the channel they might have to be ridiculously good even though the price is at the lower end most of the time. Also remember that at first they might be a bit more firm (it depends what you had previously), but usually after 1-2 weeks of use, they will start to get softer and softer. Because are made with foam and foam tends to mold over time. Also a softer alternative it can be adidas Questar 2 M, those are even little bit better than these ones, but with more exposed foam unfortunately. "I just started jogging 2miles and walking 1 mile three times a week." - Sometimes the biggest thing is to... just... start. Next, is to make it a routine. " I am trying to improve my time and distance." - Normally is better and easier if you can find something "to do" while you are exercising. Like listening music, radio, podcast etc. That will animate you continuing without even knowing. It works great for me. "I would like to do 10 miles per jog, but I know I have to ease into it." - Nothing is impossible. In time you might even do more than that, although now it might sound to be a lot. Good luck btw!

The truth is that they are many sneakers on my radar these days and also people are requesting new models all the time and I want to try them gladly but, the problem is that I don't have much spare time for adding more sneakers and new sneakers are coming out like "the mushrooms after the rain". Is very hard to keep up with everything that is on the market, which is giant. I will try to add your request also to the list but, I can't promise you anything because they are way too many already there. I do large numbers of hours at my job and is hard to find time for everything I'm planning to do for the channel. If the viewers will be more solitary with this channel in the future and decide to Subscribe more often, maybe one day I will do only RU-vid for living and use all my time for the channel, till then... I will have to struggle like now and do as much as I can... although I know is room to improve this channel quite a bit... unfortunately. I'm sharing these thoughts with you guys, because I feel that is in interest of everyone to help this channel a bit in order to be able to help more of you in the end and find REAL thoughts NOT just paid by the brands "to be positive/friendly" no matter how many faults has the product! Is very important these days to find the truth from the content that you are watching and NOT to "consume" just another "hidden Ad" like many channels are doing, without any remorse... Just because that will help "his life" to be better. I want to be with the PEOPLE and NOT with the brands... The future of our kids depends of us in some ways and we have to do the right thing and not care "only for us" and be sure that we won't allow to have worst and worst more expensive products every year, from now on. Because that is what is happening right NOW. Maybe I wouldn't even knew myself "this" if I didn't had this channel but I can promise you that every year the products are less durable but the prices are always bigger than in the past!!!

@@EasyLifeES I understood your situation and thank you for replying. What you said is absolutely right. Brands, instead of creating durable shoes they are changing 1-5% compared to the previous model and claiming all new revolutionary model with increase in prices.
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 9 месяцев назад
The problem is that "the changes" are made to reduce weight = amount of materials used in the shoes. For a while the big channels were trying to make us believe that everything is done for the consumer to have a better lighter shoe to run... But the problem is that NOW all of them are this way not only dedicated running sneakers that they are made for marathons!!! So the durability went to the garbage for all the sneakers, not just "Pro-ones"... There was the trick... They are lying us in our faces.

Thank you so much for video! There is a really much effort that I can see, keep it up! I would like to ask, what's your long term use thoughts on Duramo SL? And do you think which one is better and you prefer between Duramo Speed and Duramo SL?
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 7 месяцев назад
Sure, you're welcome! Most of the sneakers seen on this channel won't stay... So they usually go back after checking them. For a while I keep it them... But, in few months I was having way too many pairs. Since I don't want to loose living space for some sneakers, now are staying only the ones that I really need. None of those Adidas models went on my wardrobe. I have New Balance More v4, because I need it the extra cushioning... Duramo SL is a good sneaker for the price if you buy a pair without any quality issues. Duramo Speed I can't recommend them, because for me they were really uncomfortable. The front end has an arrow shape that "kills all the fun" in them. I hope this comment helps you somehow!
@sirac.kasgarli
@sirac.kasgarli 7 месяцев назад
@@EasyLifeES Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and useful thoughts! Yeah, it definetly made me decide easily but I have a last question about that. Do you think Duramo SL can fit for run 5k-10k? I'm a cyclist actually but I'm want to run in winter. So I'm a beginner runner, it will okay for me I assume. In meantime, I found Adizero SL model which is more expensive than Duramo SL. As far as I browse the internet and read the comments, it seems like to not perfect at all. Accordingly the comments, they has the front end has a narrow shape and really uncomfortable.
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 7 месяцев назад
Sure, I'm trying to be helpful every time when is posible. About Duramo SL for 5-10k. I can't promise you that they will be perfect but, they are a bit better than other tested on the channel as this price point. I don't know how is the durability over time with all these sneakers. I try to find major flaws without checking them and these way help the public to avoid some bad buys in running sneakers. Basically this channel I want to be like a filter (if you like) for thw bad value for money footwear that is available. I know I won't be able to find everything without trying them for longer periods of time outside, but if at least I can give a perspective to viewer's of what they should expect from this models that are interested without going in a store to see them... For me is mission accomplished. All my thoughts they should be take it "with a grain of salt"... Even I sometimes I buy products that after some use I see that maybe they are not worthy but, I'm trying to reduce that percentage a bit more every new day of my life. They are "hidden Ads" everywhere around us... Hopefully the footwear that gets my approval on the channel has a lower percentage of unsatisfied people and help them to skip the ones that are a "bad buy" or lower value for money. About the Adizero SL I can't say much because I haven't tested them just yet but, so far... With just taking a quick look... The outsole is thin (durability can be affected) and made from pieces (same problem here)... And what worries me a bit will be the upper, very perforated (not sure if it has padding)... So in winter will be a bit too chilly with them in my opinion. Unless you planning to wear them with some thick expensive "merino wool socks" that will deal well with the low temperatures and still are able to eliminate nost of the moisture with success while they are keeping your feet warm enough at the same time. Just a heads up on these issue! Otherwise about confort and cushioning in those... Unknown... So far.

@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 7 месяцев назад
@@sirac.kasgarli Thank you! I really apreciate it! Yeah, they are hard decisions to take these days, when nothing anymore is made to have a decent value for money... In the past we still had to make some compromises in between being "affordable", "lightweight or to have "better cushioning"., stability etc.. BUT now the "Safety & Durability" became also a serious problem to take it in consideration when we choose something new. The annoying thing is that with every new model "Durability & Safety" is even more problematic than the previous year (after "the price" issue, of course) than "the cushioning" or being "lightweight"... About that "ASICS PATRIOT 13" - after being "stab" 2 times (so far) in my exposed foam parts of the sneakers, because of "the exposed foams" from the outsoles that don't have full rubber while I was running in a park, now my first concern remains the "Safety & Durability". So, more rubber on them is now my priority... My health is more important than any of these brands! Why? Because the cushioning we can control it with a new pair of thicker insoles if we really want. I.E AliExpress is "flooded" with them (for 1-2 € are quite OK especially those that imitate "Boost material") or any other dedicated running gear store at this point. And the "lightweight issue" is not an "issue" anymore... all of them are extremely light weight. I don't need lighter than "this", because we lose in quality materials and durability... "Stability" usually is OK in most of the time, if they don't have very soft midsoles or they are made really "weird" like those for marathons, that sometimes have some EXTRA pronation that 99% of us... we don't really need it anyway!

@EasyLifeES 9 месяцев назад
Hmm... Hard to choose... Both have partials rubber outsoles... if it was only for gym (treadmill) would had been a very easy answer... but... both... combined... none of them are decent IMO. Safety is NOT there and the stability is not good enough... not to mention the durability. Adidas Ultrabounce and Duramo SL are both better options... they won't have the soft midsole you find in Nike (I'm imagine, never try them though) but, in your case... that might be an advantage doing gym with them, because they have better stability with little bit more firmer midsoles.

With Duramo Speed I really encourage you to try them before placing an order in a physical store for +5 minutes, because although they look good and they are well made (the materials OK) they have a very important problem... And that is... the fit... I will explain... The end of the sneakers is more narrow than the one in Boston 12 (those are coming after I release the Ep132 Adidas Duramo Speed) and basically they look like an arrow and it will create pressure points to my toebox after few minutes with them on my feet. For the shape of my feet feels ...unnatural. They went a bit too far with that design this time. Boston 12 looks similar but, there I didn't had absolutely no issues with the fit! So, just a head up for you... Thank you for watching this episode.

@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 2 месяца назад
At 17:16 we can see the movement (also called "rocker") of the sneakers. Being dedicated "running sneakers" they have a special cut under the heels that is adapted for running. In this particular model is not too pronounced as is in newer Supernova models (for example) that come out recently, but is still there and will affect your walking and standing with them in your feet (aside of that they also have a bigger stack that the normal shoes). That cut will affect the equilibrium of the person if they aren't used as intended. So... My advice will be to look for something else for gym activities or use them with serious caution if you are planning to use them for lifting weights because is a real chance to get injured if you use them for that. It's up to you but remember that for weight lifting they are dedicated shoes also that normally have firm outsoles and midsoles and much lower stack in order to control better the balance when we use them. I know that we all like to use 1 pair that does everything but that doesn't really work in real life. I hope you find this answer useful somehow.

Which one you prefer ultrabounce or duramo sl?
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 7 месяцев назад
It depends on your personal needs. Duramo SL better cushioning, less durability on the outsole being thinner. And Ultrabouce less cushioning but, more durable outsole. Otherwise the comfort is very similar. Ultrabouce might have a little bit more padding (better in cold season), Duramo SL has a medium thickness in padding. So... That's why is more of a personal taste. Myself... Duramo SL because I need the extra cushioning... I have fasciitis plantar... So, I don't get to choose.

Most likely not. They don't have the grip that you will need there, nor the resistance to dirt/mud and even the stability won't be the same (having a extremely big stack for that sport, you might end up twisting your ankle). They are designed for asphalt... so... they need a firm ground. This pair will be like a normal pair of shoes, but on ice. Your not skating... you are surviving. That will be completely opposed for the conditions that they were made to be used. For that sport Adidas (like any other major sneakers brand) has a dedicated line. I.E Adidas XCS are giving you exactly what you expect for that kind of running. As an alternative Terrex Speed could be more closer to both worlds. I mean running & trail. Is good that you are asking, because I'm almost certain that it might be someone else (somewhere in the world) that finds these questions/replies useful.

which is softer cloudfoam or light motion?
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 5 месяцев назад
In theory your question is correct, but really in practice is more of HOW they are made those models. I mean: - internal stack thickness of the foam, - footbed material, - perforated midsole etc. Short answer will be" Light motion". But it MIGHT NOT be always the same, in the future models. What I mean is that you can have a softer foam, but the model of the sneaker to have less stack and a more rigid foam material to beat the softer one because is simply has more stack. Best recent example Questar 2 vs Ultraboost Light (Ep140)... Where 80€ "Questar 2 M" has more cushioning than 220€ Ultraboost Light COLD.RDY !!! Questar has firmer foam, but with thicker internal midsole and the overall effect is more cushioning than UB Light....

@@EasyLifeES thank you for a very detailed explanation. Would you say Duramo SL is good enough for a newbie in running? or should I go straight with Duramo speed or adizero SL?
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 5 месяцев назад
Duramo SL - is one of the best releases in dedicated running sneakers from the last year. Just because it has an affordable price, it doesn't mean is a bad sneaker (by no means). Actually is way better in many ways that the some others that are even more expensive than these ones. The running sneakers that I recently brought on this channel in the past 2 years or so, was an personal effort to bring something that has a very good value for the money. From time to time I bring some expensive stuff too because of the curiosity, but most of the time I'm trying to find a good balance in between "price-build quality-performance". P.S: Duramo Speed - are a model that IMO are a *big fail*. So those I can't recommend even if you can find them for a price close to nothing. Those have a serious design issue... On the website they are advising us to go +0.5 size up, but in this case that won't solve the problem... It will just make it worse. The frontend is way too pointy (in an unnatural way) and it touches the toes constantly creating pressure points were normally that is never happens with any regular well done footwear. Adizero SL - are oriented for hot climates, or hot summer days and Duramo SL is more of all year round weather (except maybe very cold days of winter and rainy days for obvious reasons). In other words some are more breathable than others, but that is not a good ar a bad thing is a difference because in our collection of running footwear we kind of need more than one pair if we run the entire year. Same as we need "recovery days sneakers" a.k.a. "max-cushioning sneakers", for those days when we feel too tired and our feet are "against" of long run for some reason...

Thanks Orion for your input. It depends were they chose to use the reference points when they do the measurements in comparison with mine. In real life sometime may differ though... I've seen it happen in others channel's, discovering different dimensions. Also Adidas is posting the dimensions for a bigger size than mine... not sure if them are adding the insoles or not... I use ES 41 1/3 or 8 US. And them are using ES 42.5 or size 9 US, if I'm not mistaken. "That" might be a factor too (just speculating here), but take everything with a grain of salt anyway. Everything I post is only orientative, is not chirurgical precision. :) At the end everything is a bit relative/approximated. All the footwear tends to take eventually the shape of the feet of the person that is using them. Usually they will mold to our feet after few runs, the softness of the midsole is a big factor here. Probably even with just one run the dimensions will already be different, if we will cut them in half to see how they are in comparison with a pair new out of the box. I personally prefer less drop... That will allow me to still have a decent cushion under my toe box.

Can adidas duramo sl be used for running 5km daily? Please reply
@EasyLifeES
@EasyLifeES 6 месяцев назад
For 5km I don't think it will be a problem AFTER the break-in period, but the cushioning is not the softest obviously... for that price. IF you have the chance, try them in a store to see what to expect from them and then, buy them if you like them in an online store at the smallest price that you can find. As alternative you have NB Arishi V4 "with more exposed foam in the outsole"...but, quite a bit softer foam in them (those have Fresh Foam in them, which I really like). We always have to make some compromises... nothing is really perfect, even if is more expensive! So, "we have to pick our poisons"... :)

So guys, today I got my pair of Duramo SL M in gray color. I am using Puma Scend Pro since October 2023, 2-3 days a week running sessions for 6km on asphalt. Adidas is lighter but also looks cheaper. The sole of the Adidas is thinner and protector is not glued very well. I didn't run in Adidas yet but I can already do a conclusion. This sneakers are good for everyday use but if you want run you should look for something better.🧐

They are always compromises. That's why choosing a pair of sneakers is something so "personal". Everyone knows his/hers own needs... Idle will be to go into a big store, see what they have and tailor your choice after testing at least 3-5 pair in that price range.

Aqui No Brasil, nao tem review desse tenis, julgam o Duramo Speed melhor que o SL, e nem o qualificam, justamente os mais caros sao analisados...

Yeah... is hard to find the truth these days... all of them trying to be *friendly* with the brands, that way they get the attention that they need. I... just try to stay honest and give a genuine opinion of the products that I try. And sometimes to give some advices when someone needs it and I feel that I can be helpful somehow. They can say everything they like about Duramo Speed... I cant recommend them... The front end is badly made so for me they arent an option. Duramo SL if is checked well before buying it could be a good running sneakers option for many people with lower budget.

O que é justo para a população do Brasil, que em sua maioria de classe média baixa... onde os preços convertidos em dólar são absurdos, o asics gel nimbus 25 mesmo, custa quase um salário mínimo 😢😢😢

@@FabioSilva-rw4kj Yeah... they (ALL) won't hesítate to increase their prices from a last year version to the next year version... is just sad, sincerely. The annoying part is that the newer versions will have even less value for money... because the rubber outsoles are degredading even more in order to reduce the use of rubber. That means this will bring a serious increase in garbage (and oportunities for them... again) and more selling products for them. That is why we need to look for better walue for money & safer sneakers, not just the ones that only want to be lightweight... We can NOT aford to be fooled with nice ADS. We have to be smarter than that!
