1. I enjoy doing any kind of physical activities, especially in nature (running being one of them) but, "that" lately I've seen that is “a luxury” for me. For “that” we need to have free time and to feel rested to do it (I have too many long shifts, just to be able to pay the rent every month and survive basically).
2. To be able to afford myself one day to have a KID.
If like me you don’t come from a family that left it you any money, or you didn’t inherit anything from them, nor you have important studies… this is almost impossible for some like us.
The banks won’t even allow people like us to take a mortgage (no matter the interest that they are asking, I did try it), so we can’t buy a home (because we don't have significant amount of money “for them").
This is how the idea of this channel came up.
We value the money because we never really had it, I do care about the future (of us and and our families).
Lots of detail here. The outsole started peeling off of my Pegasus 33s after far less use than my Winflo 5s, which is also coming unstuck, so although I need walking shoes, I've been wary to purchase ever since.
I tend to avoid everytime I can sneakers that are having the rubber outsole "scattered" in many pieces, because those usually are more likely to fall than just 1 full rubber outsole. The biggest challenge these days remains to "find them" with such kind of outsoles. My relative recent find was Adidas Response (Ep142) that were a very nice "surprise" for ME. I mean something that is so NORMAL they made it to be something so rare these days to find. If you want, give those a try (maybe in a physical store first) and I believe you might like them. Be sure to be Adidas Response (NOT Response Super that are very similar except the outsole).
As a daily trainer they might be a bit fragile. Maybe used a bunch of them in rotation could do that job well. But just one pair I can't say how they will hold over time. Also that partial rubber outsole can be a problem for intensive use (it will get poked with something and that can be a handicap while running). Something like Adidas Response (Ep142) could be a much better choice for a better durability, more cushioning for the joints.. although is a bit firmer (the stack still helps) and a real outsole although isn't as tick as I wish to be. For ME they are an easier recommendation for most of the people.
@@EasyLifeES Thanks for the response, appreciate it. Adidas response has been one of my option after watching your review. Will be looking for a shop here in Manila where I can fit it. Thanks again!
Sure, you're welcome! Currently I believe that are even on sale those "Response" (at least here in Spain I know they are in few colours), so they are even more affordable than were before. Hopefully you can find them because they pretty good option IMO. As alternative Adidas Questar "2" are still a very good option. The outsole is not 100% rubber, but still not as bad as others are.
Come on, man this is ridiculous! How high of a stack do u want??? They are all ready look like 70s platform shoes. I mean they almost have 4 cm in the back hill. Sneakers should not be Elevator Shoes for little men.😊
😊 Ridiculous IS to see over 40mm of stack in exterior (on the heels at least) and the internal stack doesn't have over 22mm... What exactly we buy then ? (I suggest you to check in "runrepeat" webpage how the midsole interior looks actually, maybe you will understand better my point of view) In forefoot is even half of value found on the heels! How can someone be OK with "that" ?! BTW, who said that sneakers should have big stacks than this to make someone taller?!? Because I know that I never said it in any of my videos and I never recommended to use them for "that". For me running sneakers have only 1 purpose and that one has nothing to do with the height of people. Is normal to expect good cushioning when we see very generous midsoles, and more so when it has BOOST foam in them ! I don't see anything wrong in that! I believe you completely misunderstood the point of my videos and get it wrong conclusions that has nothing to do with my REAL way of thinking. I remember more than once when people asked me if a pair of running sneakers can make them look taller and told them that is NOT for what they were made. I even suggested to drop of the idea that they should be taller or not. For me cushioning in sneakers is a must, considering that I have plantar fasciitis...
@@patricio3841 I also prefer the look of "classic" Ultraboost models over the ones seen in the past 3-4 years. I repeat it in many of my videos. The new UB they aren't the ones that I use to wait outside the store till they open just to get my "new pair" (like I use to do it years ago). My only complain with the UB was that the stack in forefoot is way too thin in comparison with the one from the heels and that creates a big drop that can create discomfort in longer periods of use. Normal will be to have a drop equal or smaller than 5 mm in order to have a decent comfort and a real cushioning effect (best for me will be "0"mm). A shoe with good cushioning should have in between 20-30 mm Front + Back (and the stack obviously to be equal). Maybe is special occasions a max of 35 mm (but I don't really think that is needed that much if the foam is responsive enough). Over these values is a bit unnecessary, kinda overkill.
Thank you for all your videos. I have never seen such a detailed analysis. Love it! I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size. I'm new here and wanted to ask your opinion about right sizing. My left leg has length - 26,6 cm; right - 26,8 cm; I bought different sizes and saw that 28 cm sole is to long, and 27,5 is to short. The leg is neither there nor here. What to do in this case and how to be? Maybe I should look in the direction of narrow sneakers, which will hold the leg better and will have a 28 cm insole. What do you recommend and what brends do you know that make narrow running shoes? Thanks for the tips.
Hi there, Let's take it step by step with this reply. "I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size." - My feet have in between 25.7 - 25.9cm, BUT depending the hour of the day they can go up to 26.3 - 26.5cm. For my feet the insole usually have in between 26.7 up to 27.2 cm (in some rare occasions they had 26.5 and still not be too small, but that is not happening too often). For me "the free space" (in length) inside of the sneaker to have a decent comfort should be around 2 - 2.5cm (spme will give me that but won't be able to secure my feet well with the lacing system and then the solution is to SKIP IT that model, Asics Nimbus 25 was one that was in that situation). Back on sizing, is very important "when" we measure our feet. Idle will be after 8 PM or after a long shift at work, because we want to see how much they have when they are exercising (or under stress), then is when are starting to swell and in order to keep the right comfort for our feet we need the right sizing for them. I.E: When we take a long flight it happens the same they are much bigger in size once we arrive home, or a long drive and we go to the beach and we can physically see our feet in sand much bigger than in day to day life (same think there). "I looked at a couple of them and realized that you use a slightly larger running size." - I normally don't pay too much attention of the sizing as the brands are describing in their "size guide". And I will explain why. I normally only care IF they are in my size ES 41 or US 8 because that is my correct size in footwear. The size guides are a bit irrelevant because every model is different and it will be like comparing apples with peaches with watermelons. As long the shape is really different from one shoe to other, I can't use that as a "correct info". Some will be too wide other too narrow, others made for flat feet, others for high arch and so on. People will write comments and some of them will make us more confused than before, because some pages don't allow to specify the age that is sooo important. Someone over 55-60 years old will not have the feet as other that are under 30's. Elderly will have them usually wider than before. Because of "that" they will say that are too narrow (for them) and they will recommend sizing up. I.E: My mom always was a Size 36, very small and supple feet... nowadays she has to go +0.5 just because she has wider feet than before (because of the age). The feet aren't larger in length, but are wider so she is obligated to go size up even that is NOT the right solution (because she will have a bigger footwear that will give to much space in length). Not every model will offer "more widths options" (some are in Narrow, Normal, Large, Xlarge etc) and people will want to size up in order to have a chance to wear those shoes. Sometimes I receive it questions from people asking me if they should go size up or size down because they are too narrow or too wide, and sometimes going up or down is a solution and other times SKIP IT the model will be the REAL solution. I know one thing... they are plenty models to choose in the market right now and I'm not forced to buy something that is not made well for my feet. Of course NOT everything will fit me well and I'm OK with that. IF I'm not convinced with the comfort that I get... thank you... NEXT please... and so on. Adidas runs "usually" slightly narrower than other brands, NB & Asics is more roomy in toebox (and I do prefer them for my feet), Nike has a correct width, but sometimes can be slightly narrower. Nothing is an absolute truth, but we HAVE TO check as many pairs as we can (and no matter the brand) in order to find "the right one" and SKIP the ones that are the best fit for us. Are much more things to say about footwear and sizing but in other occasions. I'm not sure how much this comment will help you, but hopefully it will be useful in some ways!
@@EasyLifeES HEy! Thank you for the quick and honest answer. Yes, I understand that it's normal to wear sneakers one size larger (if we taking into account all the parameters). Then, what if a person chooses to run in the morning, when the leg is not yet swollen? Do you need to lace your sneakers tightly so they don't fall off? Or Is it better to choose a run in the evening? How do you handle it? Thank you.
@@xlista1543 "Yes, I understand that it's normal to wear sneakers one size larger (if we taking into account all the parameters)." - I don't think I have a size larger than I should have! IF you ask a podiatrist will tell you that you should use a Brannock device or even more simply... use the rule of thumb. Add a thumb in between your heel and the end of the back of the shoe OR while the feet is aligned with the back of the heel put the big thumb in front of the sneakers and should be enough space to stay in between the bigger toe and the front end of the sneaker). It should be around 2 - 2.5 cm or almost 1" of free space, while the lacing system should be able to secure well the shoe in your feet. If that is not "happening"... see other models...brands... etc. not all of them are well made in that regard for all kinds of feet (flat feet or with arch), although they should be... "Then, what if a person chooses to run in the morning, when the leg is not yet swollen? " - When you run it doesn't matter IMO. The feet while exercising will swollen eventually (we like it or not, sometimes will be more... other time will be less). I prefer to run in the evening or at night, but that is just MY preference, I like it when is more quiet outside, less traffic etc. "Do you need to lace your sneakers tightly so they don't fall off? " - Is important to have them well secured in your feet BUT without creating unnecessary pressure points (too tight can be a bigger problem for the blood pressure, than an undone laces while running). Especially on the instep area, that quickly can create big discomfort. They are special knots to avoid undone the laces while running. One of the most popular is "runner knot", but they are more of them (here is something more personal so it will be your choice which one is best for you). I hope this reply is useful to you!
Love your reviews. I hope you can solve my dilemma. I am stuck choosing between the Response or Galaxy 6. Currently I use the Puma Cell Fraction Fade and I love the pair and also love quite a bit of cushioning and paddding inside the shoe. Can you suggest which one should I go for?
Hi there, Thank you for your appreciation! About Adidas Response vs Galaxy 6. There is NO contest, really (in this case). The level of cushioning of Galaxy 6 doesn't get close to the one from Response simply because the stack is too different. Response has quite a bit more (front & back) and we can feel it instantly. It might not be plush as in New Balance Fresh Foam or Nike Zoom, but because of the stack they can still offer a decent amount of cushioning under the feet. They are not perfect by no means, but for the price they are "a nice rarity" by today industry's standards. Adidas Response were a pair of sneakers that I honestly was considering to keep while filming. Because 90% of them I don't even contemplate to keep them thinking that they don't really worth the money. Maybe at some point with "the right discount" I might get a pair for myself, will see. Normally the problem for me is the space... how much of that I want to sacrifice in my home only for my footwear. :)
Why are you guys this cheap? Why use it for only a video and send it back. It takes away the authenticity of your content because now I know you didn’t really break it out.
This is how you write a comment without really thinking much what you will start to write here. I will reply with one question. Have you ever tried to store somewhere more than 100 boxes of shoes in one room (no matter the kind of them) ? Because I DID, and it's pure madness. The sneakers seen on the channel aren't the only footwear that is in my home. And not everything that is my wardrobe is on the channel either. Also I don't live alone, SHE also has a good amount of them. After the first year of the channel I simply run out of space. And I won't transform my home in a warehouse just because are people that won't think enough how is for someone to have a channel dedicated to footwear. I like clean spaces and a warehouse in my home is NOT a solution for my life. At the end of the day this channel is just a hobby and nothing else.
my feet size are 27cm and i have ordered 42.5. idk but i don't think they originally have this size do you think it will fit me? my feet are narrow and 27 cm long. i think i have made a mistake after watching this they normallly have 42 2/3 which is 26.3 long. it def means its small for me😞😞
I wouldn't worry too much just by checking the size guide that is on their webpage. Those values aren't always accurate and the shape of the models can be very different sometimes. So... wait to arrive, use them for 10 minutes straight (somewhere indoors, on a clean carpet) to see well how they fit to your feet with the socks that you are planning to use them. If they don't have pressure points after 10 minutes of use, I believe a 95% that they will be good in the future too. Be sure to secure them well in your feet with the lacing system, in order to discover possible flaws. Not only the size can be sometimes a problem. The width is also very important, the materials, the cage and the contact with the instep, the tongue to be wide enough to cover the entire instep and so on.
New Balance Arishi v4 have softer foam in the midsole. Also more exposed foam in the outsole. That translates in softer cushioning but less durable (in the street). Indoors won't be affected that much. New Balance 880 v13 I only tried in the store, so no real experience with them. They feel more rugged made (2 kinds of rubber in them, one of them being Ndurance that is a good compound made for durability). The foam also combined (Fresh Foam is softer, the other one more firm). The 880 v13 will be my pick, has good cushioning (although is slightly firmer) but better durability at a first glance. Now you know better your "needs", so it remains your decision in the end.
@@No_Name_419 The stack in them isn't too crazy, so the amount of cushioning is just OK. For casual use try something like Nike Motiva (if you like the design). Those are one of the best that I tried this year for walking or light jogging. Those Nike are very good in cushioning, almost as good as New balance More v4 that are "MAX cushioning running sneakers". I'm planning to post that episode with Nike Motiva too, but they are other sneakers on the list that will be before of that Nike model.
@@No_Name_419 Ok, let me think... Adidas Questar 2 has plenty of cushioning for the price, Adidas Response (NOT "Response SUPER!") these ones are pretty good in every way for the price. Now the prices can vary depending where you live. I hope this reply is helpful!
I tried all those and I wouldn't recommend them for your needs. Try something different if you can. Nike are having a hard midsole... Adidas Stride is a bit better but the outsole has exposed foam and very thin. Adidas SL has slightly better midsole, but the outsole is thin for daily use. Try if you can Adidas Response (NOT Response Super!) or Duramo SL or Questar 2 (NOT Questar 3!) these ones are better sneakers. And if is only for daily use (walking and maybe "light running") try Nike Motiva that are really awesome for the price (IMO). All the sneakers that you had mentioned and my suggestions had been filmed already but I need time to edit everything. More episodes are in the way. I hope this reply helps you somehow!
I bought these in a size 11 but I have about a fingers worth of space behind my heel, would 10.5 be too small? I don't want the heel to be coming off everytime I walk but I want some width in the front for my toes. I am debating if I should get 10.5 or not. I also wear 11 in ultraboost 4.0 what do you think? Also do you happen to have the measurements for the size 8 in the video? I want to compare the measurements of each shoe to see the difference with the 8 and 8.5.
If your measurements are correct even size 40 it might be slightly bigger for your feet. My feet have around 257-260 mm and the size 41 fits me correctly, because inside I still have around 2-2.5 cm in front end of free space (my arch is on the bigger side, that also matters in order to get a correct lock in the instep). If you buy them too big you won't be able to secure well with the lacing system. Depending how is the width of your feet I believe you are somewhere in between 39 and 40. If you afford you can buy 2 sizes and keep just one. If you are not willing you can try to check something similar in a Nike store to verify your correct size. For me this model runs TTS.
Hi there, At 01:07 I show the approximated drop that here is around 3-4 mm. About your question, I'm also interested in "zero drop" sneakers with good cushioning. Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to found a pair like that so far... Hopefully in the future.
Adidas Response at 75€ do a better job overall, not as breathable but way better made... But yes, they went up with the prices (like crazy) in the last few years.
I have had a pair of these for 4 years and they are still in great condition and very comfortable. In fact I just ordered a second pair. I guess everyone is different but I would consider these good quality and comfort. 😊
Well my pair conserved very well over the years. Algo they were good looking, but they never gaved me comfort, they actually gaved me blisters after every use and always wanted just a little bit more cushioning... In that regard they were awful for me. Now I'm glad that are out of my life... :)
That's so interesting, I've had other shoes that I never got used to in terms of comfort but these I've even used in the gym and for paddle tennis when I forgot my sport sneakers. We're just all different I guess and I hope you found something more suitable for you. 🙏 All the best 😊
I buyed my pair hoping to use them during summer holidays in the evenings with few pairs of cotton chinos and few pairs of linen trousers, but ended up always looking for very dark color trousers because they were smearing with blood in the back of the heels my pants. At first I thought it will be like this only in the first few days of use but... Time went by and the problem was still there... Eventuality ended up avoiding this pair and looking for others different made in the back (less curved towards the heel, because that was the problem for me). Also cushioning was limited in comparison with few models from Tommy H that I have in my wardrobe.
Right now my favorites are Adidas UB Light and Adidas Response. So depending of your budget you pick your favorite. My pick will be Adidas Response, less money and better made and also more cushioning in forefoot.
With that budget Adidas Response are my clear choice. Questar 2 has a smidge more cushioning, but overall Adidas Response are still my favorite. Questar 3 I see less outsole so... Not something to be interested...
Thank you for another detailed and honest review. The fact that you found the Tommy Hilfiger shoe to be a better, or more comfortable shoe than the Nike, shows that these major name brands, need to step it up, and start producing a better product, especially considering the prices they charge. I'm very disappointed with the low quality shoes, these major players have been producing lately. The quality just isn't there, nor is the comfort.
"Thank you for another detailed and honest review. " - Thank you not missing this episode ! "The fact that you found the Tommy Hilfiger shoe to be a better, or more comfortable shoe than the Nike, shows that these major name brands, need to step it up, and start producing a better product, especially considering the prices they charge" - Absolutely... usually they get away only with Advertising... Few pictures on Insta, few in other social platforms... some videos with someone "important" and everything is ready assure a good amount of sales... without questioning anyone the quality of the product. Enough hype will do... "I'm very disappointed with the low quality shoes, these major players have been producing lately. The quality just isn't there, nor is the comfort." - Yeah, sometimes I feel indignation by their products and even somehow... offended by them... thinking that are taking us as fools, that never will do anything against them, no matter how bad they will make them with the next version! Here is NOT about NIKE brand in particular, is about all of them... because all they have the same way of thinking, more moneys with less materials.
Yes, it has been filmed. But they are few other sneakers waiting in line their turn before Nike Motiva. It will take some time till I have that one ready on the channel. Unfortunately they are related these episodes and I have to follow the order, otherwise it won't make sense what I'm posting.
IF you have any questions just let me know. I will try to reply every time I can. Otherwise enjoy it! BTW IF YOU FIND MY REPLIES USEFUL, please consider leaving a LIKE to THE VIDEO. Will be THE BEST way to say a warm "Thanks"!
Sure, you're welcome! Galaxy 6 is has a good quality overall. They will do well their job for the price that they have. If they aren't been used in running for large distances (over 10k at once) I don't see major problems for them. Over 10k Adidas Response at least... The extra cushioning is important when we are planning to go for bigger number of kms/miles.

But one with Dreamsstrike one without, suppose Super is better? 2nd question, why the naming bit confusing, with on going sales of Response Super 3.0? Thanks!
Google Translate did a poor job and I'm not sure that I understand well your questions. In general from my experience sometimes is more important the stack of the midsole than the softness of the foam. It has to be a good equilibrium in between the stack and the softness of the foam in order to have a good result. Not always newer is better ! Lately I see all the brands looking to cut the costs reducing the materials. We have to choose wisely the next pair of sneakers if we don't want have something with good performance that also is durable. Adidas Response seen in this video is one of the very few that actually still worth our attention. I hope this reply is useful to you!
Thanks! The naming of Response Super series is a bit confusing. What you have covered in this video is "Response Super", but I can also see Adidas is selling another Response Super 3.0. but that's an older version I guess.
@@dinoyong Yeah... Is true... The naming is sometimes little bit weird. Especially of the foams, they will make think they are plush and surprise! Not even close. Most of the time are very rigid. :) About being a older or newer version... The only way to check "that" is to verify the internal labels found in the sneakers (when is possible) and to compare the date that is written in that model. Also usually an older model will have some article written somewhere on internet where is says the date when it was published.
I bought one pair from famous store in my country butIs it shiny in dark same the photos at Nike website for this item, so kindly let me if yours is shiny at dark or not
As a beginner should i buy this Galaxy 6 than settling for Duramo SL? Hope i got immediate reply while adidas is on sale here in our country. Thank you so much sir. #Ph
Honestly both sneakers are good in that particular price range. Depending how much you want to spend you get one or the other. Comparing with the sneakers that were in the past both are more than capable. Usually if you have overweight or you run longer distances is more convenient to have some extra cushioning. Although in my opinion Adidas Response is the better buy if I have to pick just one right now.
The Adidas Response (IG1417) seen in Ep142. That one was one of my favorites this year and little bit better than everything else for me, especially for his price... 75€ here in Spain. If you like watch that episode and you will see better why it was my #1 choice. I simply wish that more models were similar to that one these days. Those are almost "extinct" and is only sad that more and more models won't be like that anymore.
The cushioning will be good enough probably but being adapted for running I can't say how they are for daily use. Why not consider some lifestyle sneakers instead with good amount of cushioning?
Depends of your needs: - Softer and more "fragile" = NB. - Little bit firmer midsole and actually a rubber outsole that inspire Safety & Durability = Adidas. NB = Indoors Adidas = Outside (asphalt use) I hope this comment answered your question. If not, let me know without any hesitation.
I feel that are about the same in softness and the only think that makes an important difference remains the real internal midsole stack. Usually no matter which kind of foam of these 2 is inside the stack will make them a good or bad sneaker for me... I "tested" a good number of sneakers many with very soft foams (with Boost foam happened so many times that is even frustrating), I mean good looking sneakers... cool colors... But with lame internal midsole thickness that sneaker end up being "a bad joke".
I don't have many videos with Asics because I was disappointed with the quality and the longevity in few occasions and lost my interest in them. I usually prefer to have sneakers that have a good ratio in between "the price-quality-performance-longevity" and with the last few models kinda end up not wanting to check more of them. They have soft foams (like I prefer) but the outsoles are without a good amount of rubber in them... The safety and the durability will be affected... That for me is NOT a good deal. So, I will simply skip it that model or even brand if I find a similar problems in more new models...
Thank u, may i ask something? Im planning to use this shoes for school, but im scared the foam will be so soft for walk since its a running shoes, do u reccomended it for school? And is it durable? Thank you.
Thanks for the explanation, may i ask? Im planning to use this to school, do u recomended it? Cuz it say running shoes im scared the foam will be so soft for walking, is it durable? Thank you.
Hi there, At about 04:00 you can see how soft is that foam in the outsole. I can't recommend them for exterior... Try looking for something else... These ones... They won't last and you will feel any stone under your feet and the risk of getting injured is very real IMO.
Hard to say... The outsole isn't the thinnest I've seen, so in theory it should last. Although, why not going for Adidas Response?! Those are even better made. Those sneakers are inexpensive and more "complete" to me.
Oh... Ok, I understand. Check them in a store to see what you think. I did like them. With intense use I can't say how they will last. Depends of your habits I guess. The weakest part I don't think it will be the outsole in them. I believe it will be the lining, that is good but not great. If you use shoehorn they might last longer, I guess.
