@@unpluggedEV The AC timer can be set for as many times in an hour or a day as you want, (in 10 min intervals) so long as the times don't overlap. I haven't used the AC for camping yet, but I am assuming that once the cabin is at an optimal temperature (after running for say 20 mins) it won't be needed for another hour or two depending on the outside temperature. i'm not sure that it could be set to Auto, since I think it runs at full tilt when on the timer to get the cabin hot or cold as quickly as possible. I should add the I would use an inflatable camping pad in the car. This helps elevate the body closer to the pillow level on the flipped up seat cushion.

Can you elaborate on properly? I would like to be able to “camp” in the car while building a tiny house. I would prefer the Outlander over a Prius but I am concerned about running a/c with or without power. I live in Texas so not overly concerned about heat.

@firstname lastname No the engine does no come on intermittently to recharge the lithium-ion battery. When the battery gets low you will need to park the car and run the engine yourself in charge mode or go for a short drive in charge mode to recharge lithium-ion battery. Once fully recharge I can run auxillaries like air conditioning and other items intermittently from between 10hrs to 24hrs depending on how many items I place inservice and for how long I run these items.

@firstname lastname The back area of the SUV has a plastic floor over the 12V battery. You would have to limit load on this floor which is why I use a airbed.

​@@ralphkingsley Good to read you can recharge while in park. I assume this is recharging using the engine. If so, how long before 80%/100% charged again? And how loud is that, would someone parked 10/20 meters away notice it?

@@HansKeesom Using the engine to recharge takes about 45 minutes to charge battery to 80% while parked. The engine is basically running just above idle at 12kW and the engine is rated at 87kW. As the engine is enclosed and has a muffler you can hardly hear it running at 20 meters. You would only use the engine to charge battery if electricity was not available to charge battery from the home.

For off gridding? Ya man... That size battery was going for £10,000 in a tesla powerwall in 2015! In scrappage the battery packs working cells would be worth a few quid.. The dud ones can be recycled by 98% Get one with low miles tho... Under 50,000. Ask the owner if they used fast charges much or did lots of long journeys.. The less charge cycles that battery's done the better. If it was just driven like a car without plugging in its perfect... (tho not for our planet.) we must not burn stuff.. A full battery will power a 2kwh oven for 4 hours straight!!!

Oh, of course. This is not the end of unplugged EV, right, there will be heaps more coming. We just got started ;)

You can charge the 12V battery, yes, but not the traction battery.

Ich denke ich habe alles getestet. Nun, das alle ihre Batterie Resets daheim machen, ist der Druck auf den Hersteller komplett weg. Das ist das Ende der Fahnenstange sozusagen. PHEVs werden in den naechsten 5 Jahren vom Markt verschwinden, was man so von den Experten auf der IAA hoert.

Welchen EV Anteil schafft das Auto allein aus der Rekuperation? Die Effizienz wäre sehr "ehrlich" und das Ergebnis für EV Zweifler gut geeignet... Danke Dir, Thorsten. Ich bin Strecken im reinen Hyrbid Betrieb gefahren und habe die Daten spaeter diskutiert. Auch die Energiegewinnung bergab habe ich gezeigt und die Daten dazu praesentiert. Lange Strecken, kurze Strecken, leer, voll geladen, mit Haenger, Sommer/Winter, Heizung, Klima, Laden, ...

Danke Dir, aber ich denke das Thema ist durch. Der Druck auf den Hersteller is ja komplett weg nun das jeder seine Batterie daheim zurueck setzen kann. Seit Lindqvist gibt e seigentlich nciht's neues zu berichten und keinen Fortschritt. Vielleicht in ein paar Jahren wieder, wenn die ganzen Batterien wegsterben, weil sie ueber Jahre staendig resetet wurden?

@@unpluggedEV Ich glaube nicht, dass der Druck auf Mitsubishi weg ist. Der Druck fängt im 2. Quartal 2020 erst an! Bisher hat Mitsubishi das Glück der frühen Geburt gehabt. Die anderen deutschen PHEV Hersteller, wie der VW Golf musste aufwändig in geringen Stückzahlen produziert werden. Der europaweite Wechsel zum WLTP Verbrauchstest hat dann dazu geführt, dass viele Fahrzeugtypen gar nicht bestellbar waren oder Lieferzeiten von 9- 12 Monaten haben. Jetzt sind die großen Hersteller bald bereit für die hohen Stückzahlen. Die Werke werden umgerüstet. VW mit dem Passat, Mercedes mit der A- und B-Klasse oder der 3er BMW. Oft mit mehr elektischer Reichweite (60 -80 km). Deswegen wird Mitsubishi in der elektrischen Reichweite für das MY2021 nachbessern müssen. An der Kapazität der Batterie und auch an der BMU. I do not think the pressure on Mitsubishi is gone. The pressure will only start in the 2nd quarter of 2020! So far, Mitsubishi has had the luck of early birth. The other German PHEV manufacturers, like the VW Golf, had to be laboriously produced in small numbers. The Europe-wide switch to the WLTP consumption test has led to the fact that many vehicle types were not ordered at all or have delivery times of 9-12 months. Now the big manufacturers are soon ready for the high volumes. The works are being converted. VW with the Passat, Mercedes with the A- and B-Class or the BMW 3 Series. Often with more elektischer range (60 -80 km). Therefore, Mitsubishi will have to improve the electric range for the MY2021. At the capacity of the battery and also at the BMU.

No. Where do you get bottled H2 from? It is super dangerous to just connect this like a gas bottle in a BBQ.

Immer wieder .. grandiosIch habe in 3 Wochen mit meinem Sohn, unserem PHEV eine Tour Richtung Norwegen vor. Cams habe ich auch, es wird gefilmt und bestimmt das eine oder andere von Dir "in Art und Weise nach gemacht", auch wenn wir den Meister nie erreichen werden. :)Leider ist Australien nicht um die Ecke, sonst hätten wir Dich mal besucht. I don't think PHEV will have a future at all. In Europe, they will all disappear soon again. Even if you can do most trips in electric mode, you still need to maintain the ICE. How silly is that?

OMG, this is that what i need to put my 5 Dogs in the Back of the car, when you can buy the car with this configuration there must be a way to get the Spare Parts to switch the 4-Seater in Germany to this commercial 2-Seater Version, I´m interested to know how much will cost this Spare-Parts. @@HIGHWAYMAN1301 From what I have been told by Mitsubishi UK, the conversion is carried out in the UK during import when the vehicles are shipped in to the docks. They have the rear seats removed, rear windows tinted and disabled and the load bed and rubber mat fitted in. There are technical and financial differences in the UK between use of cars and commercial vehicles, so this maybe explains the demand for the commercial version.
